I do printmaking and it helps me envision several different layouts of how I can cut my paper. If you hold paper crafting or card making classes this is a great tool to get the most out of your card stock. Even if you mass produce your projects this will be a great help. Just enter the size of your paper to start, then enter the dimensions of what you need and in an instant it will give you multiple layouts for how to get the most. Why would anyone with half a brain need an app to cut multiple things the same exact size??? Add multiple cut sizes and charge for the app. COMPLETELY WORTHLESS!! ### 1/5 — Useless *2017-03-17* Works fine as long as every sheet you need to cut is exactly the same. It's useless for me since I need to cut multiple sizes of sheets for my projects. Having it all be the same size makes the app just about useless since the calculations for 1 sheet size are so simple. ### 1/5 — How is this,app supposed to work? *2013-07-30, version 1.2* Ok, I downloaded the App, chose my paper size, chose the cut size, then nothing. I tapped the whole screen and nothing happened. I opened the information link and it told me to do what I already did. No other instructions or help. If anyone is interested in an app to design pages, don't waste your time on this one! ### 2/5 — Can’t get correct info to cut - Very Frustrated *2023-10-11, version 1.7* I put in 12x12 paper (I am a card maker). I want to cut 5.25 x 4 for a layer. When I put in these measurements it gives me 4 pieces, no matter which layout I choose. It SHOULD give me 6! 4 divided into 12 = 3, 5 1/4 x 2 = 10.5 which is less than 12, therefore I SHOULD get 6 pieces from a 12 x 12 paper but it’s telling me ONLY 4! I have uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times on my iPads. I have an iPad 2 and a Pro, they’re both doing the same thing! My husband’s iPhone however comes up correctly. My Android phone doesn’t offer this app. For right now (until I figure it out) I am giving it a 2! ### 2/5 — 1 size does NOT fit all *2020-02-28, version 1.6* You can only input I size of cut Not really all that helpful - ### 3/5 — Very functional... *2014-09-04* Perfeito para pessoas que precisam calcular cortes em tecido ou papel, por exemplo. The only problem is there is no kerf thickness option for blade thickness. Simple example if you type in 1 foot cuts on a 8 foot board it tells you that you can get 8 boards cause it doesn’t calculate blade cut into the equation. When you can only get 7 boards cause a typical saw blade is 1/8” eating up 7/8” of board leaving the last board 11 1/8” long. **Developer response:** Thank you for your response. Have one added feature I’d love *2024-08-21* I use this app all the time in my workshop and the only missing feature I’d love is the ability to save an image of the proposed cuts for using in my job summaries for my employees. I can take a screenshot but it doesn’t include the measurements and I think would look a lot cleaner if I could save or download the graphic. **Developer response:** Thank you for sharing your experience. It does calculate properly. It showed that I could cut 8 items 9" X11" (792 sq inches) in a 2 by 4 layout out of my starting material of 24" by 36" (864. Sq inches)! Searching for a new area converter calculator app... **Developer response:** To whom it may concern; I would like to point out that the app worked perfectly. 36 divided by 9 equals 4 and 11 goes into 24 two times with a remainder of 2. Thus a 2 by 4 layout is possible and yields 8 pieces.
