Mankind bends to harsh new laws, as the old world's name fades into oblivion. Strife, Betrayal, Chaos, and Decay—every stranger a threat, every conscience a shackle.
The tide of apocalypse surges, and civilization crumbles. Yet within the dying embers, a faint pulse lingers—not out of hope, but a fierce refusal to fade quietly into the void.

### 5/5 — Diverse Hero Dynamic

*2026-02-18*

Disclaimer:
The 1 star review made before this one waned a game where he could control what the heroes do. This is an idle game. He chose the wrong game and gave it a bad rating because of it.

My Review on just the combat aspect of the heroes in this game:
This game is similar to many other games. Lots to do, plenty of free rewards from events, and great skill animations and sound effects for the majority of heroes. These heroes have their own unique abilities. No two heroes (aside from feeder heroes) function the same. This is a great aspect of the game. Definitely recommend.

What to expect in the battle dynamic:

•6 hero team
•3 common factions and 2 dark/light
•Chips (2 slots) to enhance how your hero functions in battle, randomly generated and can be rerolled.
•3 proficiency slots that are more focused on similar enhancements but aren’t random. You can farm for these in the shop, no reroll.
•4 Zoic slots for mechanical holograms that have a rotation before each round in battle to buff, debuff, heal or do damage to enemy team.
•Multiple heroes with resurrect, either self resurrect, or support casted resurrect and equipment mentioned can also provide resurrection.
•6 various formations to use, which do make a difference given the circumstance.
•Multiple heroes that summon robots or humanoids in combat that are functional for combat. They are summoned in spots not occupied by heroes, 4 spots are available and one hero can fill multiple spots.
•E-System mechanic which is upgradable in both the buff it provides every 3 rounds and the effects it provides to the target(s).
•Fleet (Guild) buff you can upgrade for each class type of hero.

That’s just me covering heroes off the top of my head. It’s free to play friendly but I won’t lie and say it’s not also pay to win friendly, because it is, just like most games that are fun to play.

Recommend giving Dying Ember a shot. I’m on server 11 but server 13 is the current new server at the time of this post. Good luck! Join the discord for this game if you want to check out the vibe of the player base. You can get the link to it after downloading the game and going into your UI.

You don’t actually get to make choices. You only get to click the buttons the game tells you to click.

**Developer response:** Dear Player, we apologize for the unpleasant experience caused to you. We will continue to roll out more innovative content through the season mode. Thank you for your support and wish you a great time!
