### 3/5 — Nice if you are only printing a few labels at a time

*2026-07-19*

I actually love Dymo label printers in general. They get the labeling job done. I was considering this as a gift for my daughter so she can print labels to label items on her project board. This could work is only a few labels were needed and time wasn’t limited. This would also work IF the app allowed you to share the labels to another user. Now that being said, here is a suggestion to the developers:
1) Please create a way to share the labels so people can help
And collaborate with others.
2) Please create a way to create different labels of the same type within one session- example: without saving then having to press “new” or exiting to create a new unique label with the same template. Perhaps add a new feature: “next label” so that you can type one label right after the next using the same template and I can save and print a string of different labels at one time with the same border. (We can cut out the individual labels ourselves using scissors with that option unless you program it to cut automatically at the end of each label.
3) Just want to thank you for the new Bluetooth version. I see you all have upgraded some things in response to previous feedback which is appreciated.

### 3/5 — Label maker functions fine. App needs updating.

*2026-04-29, version 2.0.0*

Label maker works well. App needs improving. I have other labels makers. Wish the app could let you change the spacing between letters and the separate lines. You get what you get with the 5 fonts provided.

### 2/5 — Update app please

*2026-03-21, version 2.0.0*

It is pretty easy to use but wish it had more icons like for medicine and more font options.

### 2/5 — Meh…

*2026-02-27, version 2.0.0*

I love my label maker. However, with the Apple updates, the app is crashing. I just bought a storage box for my knitting supplies and want to label it for my knitting needles. I can’t do that when the app crashes. Please fix this so I can use my label maker again.

### 4/5 — flip yeah dymo

*2026-02-05, version 2.0.0*

i love my dymo, it has made my life so much easier as a disorganised girlie. this app is really quick and easy to use, but the text is VERY wide when printed. it appears stretched out (even on the interface) compared to how the font appears in the font selection menu. this occurs regardless of the size. it takes up much more room than it should and it's also an aesthetic problem. i'd be very happy to update this to a five star review if this is fixed :)

### 3/5 — A waste of potential

*2026-02-05, version 2.0.0*

What a shame. I was optimistic about this, having ditched my old letratag and treating myself to a connect because the old model was infuriatingly difficult to use, particularly for folks with manual dexterity issues.

I thought this was the answer but the app lets the printer’s capabilities down significantly. It’s not intuitive. It is extremely difficult to go back on a line that you’ve already typed to make amendments, even just to do something as simple as insert an icon, punctuation or a space.

Once you’re in the icon section, that’s a problem too. Getting back to typing using the on screen keyboard is absolutely not intuitive. Unfortunately, this seems almost as frustrating as the non “smart” version.

### 2/5 — Needs More Emojis!!! 🐣✝️

*2026-01-31, version 2.0.0*

The app is easy to use and makes labeling faster than the older Dymo models. However, they are extremely lacking in Emojiis!! I couldn’t even find something to go with Easter for labeling my decorations. Other holiday’s are missing options as well, such as Thanksgiving. Please update the app and give us more options! 🤞😊

### 1/5 — Printing quality disappointing

*2025-11-23*

I had assumed I would be able to print new labels that matched the labels I had printed on my old Dymo. Sadly this is not the case. Fonts are limited to six options all of which a poor quality and pixelated and nowhere near the quality of my old printer. Feeling very disappointed.

### 1/5 — Poor design choices, printer returned

*2025-11-21, version 2.0.0*

The 200B printer looked ideal but this app is the only way to print to it and it’s impossible to create a good looking design. Fonts are stretched, borders crash into them and whatever I try, the labels look ugly. Sorry Dymo, your poor software has lost a sale - I’ll be buying a different brand.

### 2/5 — So Much Unrealized Potential

*2025-11-14*

Cons: 1) Of seven fonts available, all look antiqued, like they were produced by an old-time typewriter, with bumpy edges where there should be smooth lines and curves. WHY‽ 2) No caps lock. on a label maker. WHY‽ 3) max font size is not as large as max font size on Dymo's handheld labelmakers, though using the same tape. Also the font selections are different. It means you can't use this to make labels that match labels from Dymo's other products. Pros: 1) It's pretty convenient to be writing a label when I think of it and not having to wait until I get to the label maker. 2) The decorative boxes and emojis are a nice touch. Don't think i'll have much call to use them, but I could see where some would. 3) being able to store frequently-printed labels is nice, though I don't know why the limited the number of them to nine. 4) contact with label printer is fairly robust. Had no errors of that sort yet.

### 1/5 — Slow and limited

*2025-11-06, version 2.0.0*

If you’re used to the older standalone LetraTag labeller, you will hate this one. First of all, it is much slower because it has to reconnect to the labeller for each label. Secondly, the font choice is extremely limited and doesn’t include the one from the old labeller. All of the new ones either are much wiiiiidddder so that it stretches out using up your label tape quicker or they’re harder to read. Occasionally, it will spontaneously make the print size smaller for no apparent reason. I’m going to return the new Bluetooth labeller and try to get the reliable older one.

### 1/5 — Very bad. Do not buy it.

*2025-11-05*

I’m not understanding how is possible don’t make the labels with a easy way to remove the backing of the stickers. This is ridiculous. Wast of money.

### 1/5 — No longer works

*2025-10-09, version 2.0.0*

Just keeps saying it’s jammed and won’t print, even though it’s not. No way to troubleshoot further. Also wish it had more font options.

### 1/5 — Does nothing but crash

*2025-09-24, version 2.0.0*

The app has crashed no fewer than 50 times trying to print one label. The app crashes on multiple devices. This is hot garbage.

### 1/5 — Bien mais peut mieux faire

*2025-09-24*

### 2/5 — Stretching fonts is cheap

*2025-09-17, version 2.0.0*

It deliberately stretches good fonts so you use more tape. So lame. Otherwise seems to work ok enough.

### 1/5 — Poor

*2025-09-02, version 2.0.0*

Letter spacing is too wide clearly to make you run out of label tape sooner to buy more. Please allow a spacing option between letters. Other dymo printers have letters closer together, much nicer. I'm sorry I bought this printer.

### 2/5 — Simple

*2025-08-24*

If you are making one simple label it’s perfect. If you’re making multiple copies of one label, it has to be printed one by one. You cannot change the margin size of the label so you end up using more label than you actually need. It only reconnects when you press print, does not stay connected. Definitely more time consuming than it should be when printing more than one label. If you want to waste time and label size this is great for you.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Seulement 7 polices

*2026-04-18*

### 1/5 — Doe the kids made this app?

*2026-03-17, version 2.0.0*

We can’t adjust the margin for printer. If we create anything, the app just simple put it in the middle of label. If we try to adjust or use the bigger font size, it will erase it.

### 1/5 — 5 AWFUL FONTS

*2026-03-15, version 2.0.0*

If more fonts could be downloaded this app and the Bluetooth label maker would be worth while.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2026-01-26, version 2.0.0*

Every time I tried to print it says printing error and makes sure cassette is not empty or jam. I tried it with a different cassette it still shows printing error. what a useless product.

### 1/5 — Don’t buy

*2026-01-14, version 2.0.0*

Would not print right out of the box. Changed cartridges and still no print.

### 1/5 — Downgrade from handheld LetraTag devices

*2026-01-10*

The app (and printer) have very limited features. Poor print quality (as per font on app). No narrow font, no nice fonts, no option to adjust space on either side of text, no option to create labels of consistent length. You can’t use more than 1 font or size in the same label.

### 1/5 — Very limited and outdated app

*2026-01-08, version 2.0.0*

Limited and disappointing

Font choice is restricted to around seven options, and once a font is selected there are no basic adjustment controls available – no spacing between letters, no kerning, no fine control at all. Font size options feel arbitrary and result in large amounts of wasted tape, with excessive blank space that cannot be removed or optimised.

Icons are also severely limited. There are only around eight available icons, which feels unacceptable in 2025 – even a small subset of standard emojis would massively improve usability.

Frames add no real value either. They take up space and actually reduce legibility of the text instead of enhancing it.

It’s unclear whether these limitations come from the app or the hardware, but either way the overall experience feels unfinished and outdated. The fact that the app was last updated in 2024 only reinforces that impression.

This product could be so much better with relatively small improvements, but in its current state it feels neglected and not fit for modern expectations.

### 1/5 — 1986 Computer

*2025-12-31, version 2.0.0*

I can’t tell if the font is a copy of a 1986 Commodore computer or a Minecraft game. I expected better now being 2025 that the technology that we have, Dymo would have kept up with. Not a fan, especially the tape, it is difficult to separate the backing without putting a crease on it and it won’t stick to paper, let alone anything else. Would not recommend. Sending it back.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2025-12-06, version 2.0.0*

Bought this printer as I have a couple of other Dymo products but I wanted a label maker that I could use from my phone, as I thought it would be easier to edit and print multiple labels, and have a screen where I can see what I’ve already typed. On downloading the app, the developer says they’ve added five new fonts. Wow, I was thinking, that’s great. Only when I open the app, there’s only seven fonts. No option to change the size. The fonts all print quite wide, so not only does a short label use a lot of tape but it takes up a lot of room on my file. I’m really disappointed. I’m now researching other brands to see if they can offer something more suitable.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Nothing flash but functional

*2026-02-21*

The app is pretty simple nothing to complain about.

### 5/5 — Current Review - some old reviews are outdated

*2026-01-31, version 2.0.0*

1. Fonts now include some that look good and not antiquated. The purpose is labels not writing a book.

2. Fonts look as smooth as needed and comparable to other label makers.

3. There is a CAPS lock because you use your same iphone or ipad keyboard that you use every day for everything.

4. Definitely an upgrade over other label makers I have used. Much easier to use and requires less repetition.

5. Current App is stable and has been working fine for me without crashing.

### 5/5 — Good

*2025-01-20*

This app has thinner text not just extra large cool fonts and borders and emojis I love it ❤️

### 5/5 — Loving by this app for my label maker!

*2024-09-20*

So far I’ve only owned the LetraTag 200B for a couple days but I’ve already printed many labels. The main thing I like about this label maker and app is the fact that I don’t have to fidget with a million buttons to get what I want on my labels. I just use my phone to type and it’s much less frustrating. Also the fact that the labels are compatible with other models makes my upgrade even easier.

### 5/5 — Fonctionne très bien

*2024-08-11, version 2.0.0*

### 5/5 — Amazing lifesaver

*2024-07-12, version 2.0.0*

I needed labels for my daughter at camp . last year we had to use it printer and online website to create the template. this year, my daughter went on target and bought one and then I bought another one. I’ve been looking on Amazon and all the ones you can’t understand or don’t work. I saw that this had bad rating and I was scared to try it, but once I got on, I thought I would help them out and send this review buy this printer and enjoy this free app. It is amazing.

### 5/5 — No login required!

*2024-07-01*

I was almost certainly thinking this would require a login since nearly every app wants you to create some useless account these days. I was pleasantly surprised that it doesn’t, that just adds to the already great experience with the app connected label printer!

### 5/5 — New adds are a game changer

*2024-04-03*

Really in love with the added font options, plus so many more fun icons, similar to my iPhone icon library! Also handy to copy/paste text from other places, I just copied my extra long network details from router & easily made a label so there are easier to read! I'm really pleased with latest update!

### 5/5 — As Expected

*2024-03-28*

I just used this app with the LetraTag 200B printer and it worked perfectly smoothly and provided about what I'd expected. It's slightly more advanced than my standalone LetraTag label maker, but not a lot. However, I didn't expect too much for $35 for the printer and it still uses the same labels as my original label maker. I may upgrade at some point in the future, but for now this meets my needs to create labels right from my phone. I use this primarily to identify and date my home canning, creating labels for file folders, and putting an ID on some things that belong to my kids. I have used the iron-on labels in the past, as well.

### 5/5 — Best

*2024-03-23, version 2.0.0*

Have been using Dymo printers for years, this is a huge upgrade, can copy large codes directly from a pdf and paste it to print. Copy, paste, print, search new code while printing, repeat. Reducing time and having fun is possible. Very solid bluetooth connection. Please ad more fonts and icons this is game changing.
