DynaDraw is a dynamic drawing application based upon a program written in 1989 by Paul Haeberli. The program can be used to make a variety of drawing effects, but it is especially useful for calligraphy. The drawing works like a spring and mass system, as if your finger were pulling a weighted paintbrush attached to it with a spring. I must say that it has improved the apps, but it would great to add highlighting certain parts of a draw and copy and paste tools. The fact that it is based on software from the 80s tickled my retro fancy. The dynamics do a great job smoothing out my handwriting. I wish some of the dedicated notebook apps on iOS made use of this. Fun to do loose sketches with higher spring, lower weight settings. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the lack of ink color.. I'm nitpicking though. This update of the physics-based calligraphic drawing method works even better on a touch platform than it did using a mouse.
