Needs push notifications for approvals or anything requiring user input to be useful. Remember this is a mobile and tablet app the mobile app is on the go functions and needs to facilitate quick and easy approvals, purchase orders so on the things you’re actually going to do on a mobile. PLEASE IMPROVE APPROVALS AND BRING PUSH NOTIFICATIONS FOR APPROVALS ### 2/5 — Really BAD, but slightly more convenient than web. *2025-02-26, version 4.0.9292* This app still does not support Dark theme on iPadOS, going on the better part of a year now. The iOS FINALLY updated sometime very late/end of 2024. Yet, the iPadOS version still does NOT, typical M$ complacency. I use the app because it is slightly more convenient than using the web-interface. However, literally every other time keeping service/app is better. My personal favorite is ADP, intuitive and can save and submit without having to closing an entire timesheet. The app has some good features but is missing the most logical functionality such as access to the camera (that works well on the iPad version). Most frustrating aspect is the frequency at which it logs you out and forces you to log back in from scratch. That alone will lead me to deleting it. Pick up your game on this one please Microsoft. PS Microsoft have responded saying they’ve released a new versions and there is more to come. It is still doing exactly the same things I reported above and I have to log in many times a day even if I’m using it pretty much continuously. Great to hear they plan to release more but please, please, please get it to work properly first! ### 1/5 — Awful App *2021-09-29, version 3.3.9031* It constantly has issues loading. It graphically shows that you press on a link but nothing seems to happen. You end up having to force quit and re-login (also annoying that you constantly have to type in you credentials every time you login). This happens at least 50% of the time you are using th app. Basically quicker to drive somewhere to access a computer to do what you need to. It’s constantly freezing or crashing. When it does actually work, it’s still a hassle. In today’s times I’m happy to see that Microsoft is staying true to their business model of “push the product out full of horrible design issues, bugs and horrible UI and offer limited support on the back end. As always with any quality product of theirs, you don’t get support! Clicking help will net you 245 pages of detailed gibberish website instructions. Nothing for the app. Would you like assisted setup? Sure! that would be swell! How ‘bout no. Not allowed without appropriate permissions. Don’t worry, the support offered to the company will in no way shape or form represent or contain anything pertinent to your situation. But somebody somewhere now knows how to track stock and logistical expenses for something completely unrelated! And do not fret if you are a computer novice, you’ll have so much trouble figuring out it’s completely non user-friendly design, that you won’t be able to properly document your time card and the company will probably let you go anyway. There is nothing instinctual about the apps navigation. There’s hardly even anything to display. Its so bad...I really can’t think of any more semi-intelligible descriptors to convey the frustration that is navigating its interface. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Terrible to use *2026-04-21, version 4.5* Always crashes and freezes. Have to close app and re open whenever switching between pages or going back to menu. Wish I didn’t need to use this app for work. ### 1/5 — Ok App *2025-10-01, version 4.0.9292* I used this app to be able to create and send documents from the app while I’m on the road, unfortunately pdfs are failing to generate. For instance I have a sales order and I want to print the pdf work order and send to employee, it will not generate. Instead the document shows: SignIn and is a JSON formatted blank file. Trying to do an expense report on the go (on my iPhone 16 Pro Max). I went through the trouble of creating a PDF of my flight receipt thinking I could submit it through iOS. This app only allows you to take a photo of an animate object. In other words, I would need to have a physical copy of the receipt, in my hand, and use the camera on my phone to snap a pic. I suppose these guys who built the app forgot to add a “feature” that allows you to upload a file from iCloud (Files app) or simply to choose an existing photo in your Library. The incompetence with these devs is unconscionable. Yet, because this app’s customer is my employer, I’m sure this ignorance will continue until their customers (HR offices) complain. When I try to sign into the app it says I have no license and boots me out of sign on. No idea if that is my companies implementation or built in problem.
