### 2/5 — Terrible

*2021-04-12, version 4.9.2*

you have to pay money to have the full version of the keyboard which is extremely annoying

### 2/5 — Kinda helped

*2020-10-12, version 4.4*

The font was quite helpful but it lacks auto correct and has a small delay so my words are constantly not having there spaces

### 3/5 — Great idea but no spell check

*2019-11-02, version 2.0*

This is a great app and really easy to get started. I love the fact that you can use the keyboard in any app but I’ve lost spellcheck. Which as you can imagine is part and parcel of dyslexia.

### 2/5 — No spellcheck

*2019-10-29, version 2.0*

When using this keyboard there is no spell check.

### 2/5 — Not the keyboard I hoped for

*2019-08-12, version 2.0*

The keyboard uses the Open Dyslexic font, yes. However it does not change the text you are typing. Additionally, it does not clearly show if shift is on, or cap lock for that matter. It’s all just capital letters on the keyboard the entire time. Most people know where the keys on a keyboard are, therefore having the letters shifted into Open Dyslexic is not as helpful as it could be

### 3/5 — Meh

*2019-05-26, version 2.0*

Good idea, its brokn

### 1/5 — All caps?!

*2019-04-24, version 2.0*

It would be great to get lower case letters. I’d totally use this if it did. The caps keys look clear and easy to read, but it’s just really confusing not easily seeing if you’re typing in upper or lower case

### 1/5 — Crashed and failed to recognize typed keys

*2019-02-19, version 2.0*

Lovely idea! Wish it worked better. Tried typing a single text message. Missed many key strokes. Only showed keyboard letters i. Caps. Typed in lower case but did not image words on the screen in dyslexic font so failed to assist in helping those typing to read what they had typed. Did not bring in the correction suggestions for mistyped words. In the first text message the screen repeatedly blinked until it crashed. I had really hoped this would have worked out better! It would be a lovely addition for accessibility!

### 3/5 — Review

*2019-02-03, version 2.0*

I would have loved for this app to work but the magnetized letters don't go away making it impossible to see any other letters unless you switch around the keyboards which is a hassle.

### 2/5 — Love the concept

*2018-09-23, version 2.0*

But cant seem to get it to work on my iphone. Super uncomfortable opening the door to all text correspondence past and future. I wld love to have the font avail for dyslexic fam and friends. Tgtbt

### 2/5 — Great font for dyslexcia, BUT...

*2017-09-17, version 2.0*

I agree with a previous reviewer; the lack of autocorrect is a huge flaw. It is a major buzz kill. How could it be left out? Massive oversight by the developers!

Wish I could use this app. Without the suggested spelling and autocorrect, it is very little benefit to me.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Unaffordable

*2024-01-14, version 5.2.3*

Great idea but the price is unaffordable.
You shouldn’t have to pay for something to do with education

### 1/5 — Not free

*2023-01-22, version 4.9.4*

Free for 3 days then $4.99 per month!!!

### 1/5 — Horrible experience

*2022-08-06*

Doesn't work as it is supposed to, not easy to navigate even for a not-a-dyslexic person.
Icing on the cake - even if you would subscribe for a monthly plan with 3days of a free trial - they would charge you the amount of annual subscription immediately.
Feel like a scam.
Don't recommended.

### 1/5 — Price

*2022-07-07, version 4.9.4*

Hidden fees - doesn’t say you need to pay anything until after you’ve installed the keyboard through settings. Monthly fee too high - unaffordable.

### 1/5 — Ridiculous

*2021-09-08, version 4.9.3*

You think people will/can pay $30 a month for a digital keyboard? What planet would that business model ever work for? Not the one I’m living on, I know that much. Thanks for the false hope. I’d give zero stars if I could. You’re trying to take advantage of peoples needs and it’s gross. Total scam.

### 1/5 — PAID SUBSCRIPTION NOT COOL BRO

*2021-07-31, version 4.9.2*

Love the font not loving the fact you have to pay to use it :(

### 1/5 — Not Helpful

*2021-03-09, version 4.9.2*

I’ve struggled with my dyslexia especially with typing on my phone. I heard about the dyslexia font and was really excited when I found this app only to find out that a subscription is needed to use any aspect of it. Not just that but the subscription is $30 a month which is not the type of money I can or will spend on a font. This isn’t helping the majority of people with dyslexia. Don’t waste your time with it.

### 1/5 — Expensive

*2021-02-20, version 4.9.1*

Great idea but the cost is not affordable

### 1/5 — you have to subscribe for the actual dyslexic font.

*2020-10-11, version 4.4*

my best friend is dyslexic and i thought it would be a good idea to have a dyslexic font app on my phone for when i talk to her. so everything went well, until i tried it out. it said subscribe to unlock at the top of my keyboard. i immediately deleted the app. 100% do not recommend.

### 1/5 — Speech to text

*2019-11-09, version 2.0*

This keyboard app would be amazing for someone like me who has dyslexia put there is no speech to text on the keyboard making the keyboard useless for people with dyslexia. Fix this please

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Awesome AI chat not

*2023-05-09, version 5.0.2*

This really helps me whenever I need to ask a question to teacher but I’m too shy or she’s busy. It’s also helping my confidence because I can ask how to phrase things properly. Hope you like it as much as I do

### 5/5 — Ai bot is epic 🤖

*2023-03-31, version 5.0*

This app is changing my life

### 5/5 — Big fan of update!

*2020-05-24, version 3.6*

Thanks for finally posting this app...kids are using it all the time to type on their iPhone s

### 5/5 — Awesome, been waiting for an update!

*2020-05-23, version 3.6*

I’ve had this app for years now and am very pleased that it’s been updated. Please keep updating! My kids are also using it and have told some other families about it 👍

### 5/5 — Works great, definitely recommend

*2020-05-20, version 3.6*

Very easy to use. Need to install the keyboard and allow full access, after that you’re ready to go.

### 5/5 — Wow Oh Wow

*2020-04-10, version 3.2*

Not sure how this wasn’t made before, but this is an absolutely game changer. Two thumbs way up 👍🏼👍🏼

### 5/5 — Awesome for a Dyslexic

*2016-06-10, version 2.0*

I don't know how to affects me as a dyslexic, but I do know it makes looking at the keyboard fonts more fun and engrossing. The only thing that should be fixed are the animation for pressing the keyplates and the responsiveness. Thanks! Just so you know, the new Kindle update now includes the OpenDyslexia font as well.

### 4/5 — 😐

*2018-12-22, version 2.0*

Great but its laggy

### 4/5 — Great, only one issue I could find

*2018-07-11, version 2.0*

I’m dyslexic and just found this new phone and it makes typing and reading 1000% better for me! Thank you so much for making this app!!

The only thing I would add is the dictation feature. You have to go back to the original keyboard just use dictation when I could just be added to this keyboard.

### 3/5 — Testing this app for my friend

*2023-10-30*

i downloaded the keyboard but the font doesn´t seem to work please help
