I was Feeling like an absolute failure and lost that I couldn’t figure out the issue. Taking this quiz with my son just out of curiosity and reading the results helped me understand clearly what his reading struggles are. Knowing that there is a place available for him to learn the skills required to read and a place for me to ask for help and direction on how to move forward to help him and that the program has monitored programs helps me feel peace that my sons situation isn’t a lost cause. The tasks are rooted in a highly behaviorist, rather than a meaning centered view of learning. In other words, reading successfully is limited to decoding. Someone must have worked hard to come up with so many nonsense words.
