## What is e?

e-Connect is a service for systems centralization, management and supervision that combines in a single cloud platform EL.MO intrusion and fire detection, home management systems and e-Vision® video surveillance systems.
e-Connect makes it possible to control intrusion and fire detection systems status (home, office, holiday houses, etc.), receive notifications, manage systems through graphic maps, enable/disable devices (ex. detectors), display images of video surveillance systems, and manage domotic systems such as irrigation and lighting systems.

The service usage requires the intervention of EL.MO. qualified and authorized security systems installers who are to create a system account, that is, a user profile enabled for the management of compatible EL.MO. intrusion detection control units and/or e-Vision PRO series DVRs/NVRs. Some functions will be available only for accounts set by installers registered to the platform with multi-level structure.
 
What can e-Connect manage?
- EL.MO. intrusion detection systems  based on Villeggio, PREGIO, HERCOLA, ETR G2, TITANIA, NET and TACÓRA control units.
- DVRs, NVRs and IP cameras of e-Vision PRO series.
- Domotic systems associated to EL.MO. units
e-Connect can also manage several systems through a single account simultaneously: home, office, holiday houses.

What can e-Connect do?
Using smartphones and tablets it is possible to control systems status, receive notifications (also referred to InstaVision video verification for an immediate video monitoring upon events occurrence), enable/disable intrusion detection devices, display CCTV systems images (live both single and multichannel, and playback) or manage domotic systems. With regard to the chronothermostat, it will be possible to adjust the temperature and control its working mode from a remote site. 
 
InstaVision Video Verification
InstaVision is a new e-Connect function for video verification that optimizes the synergy between EL.MO. intrusion and fire detection systems and CCTV e-Vision® PRO systems. It allows receiving real time notifications about one of its security systems and verify its condition immediately. When an event occurs (ex. intrusion attempt) InstaVision allows displaying live images, images recorded at the exact time of the event, and images recorded a few seconds before the occurrence of the event directly from e-Connect app. Such function enables to control whether the event is a false alarm or a true intrusion or fire event in which case a prompt intervention will be possible. Images are not recorded to third-party servers, but directly to users DVRs and NVRs so to reduce to zero personal data breach risks and to shorten dramatically system response time.
 
How is e-Connect interface?
e-Connect features a complete but intuitive control panel. Main icons provide a quick view of the system status, while a convenient side menu grants an easy browsing of e-Connect menu pages. Systems interactive graphic maps allow managing devices and retrieve cameras images view.
 
How is power combined with security?
e-Connect features a Cloud Server structure that includes all control units connected to the network. The use of SSL communication protocol combined with certificates issued by international Certification Authority bodies grants an outstanding security level.
 
Easy setup and P2P 
The configuration of e-Connect app and its association to security equipment such as control units and NVRs/DVRs is an easy operation also thanks to P2P connection to EL.MO. proprietary server.

ho riscontrato che se utilizzo i dati cellulare l’app funziona molto bene, il problema nasce quando sono connesso ad internet tramite una rete: non riesco più a collegarmi con i dvr, su qualsiasi acceda (p2p) mi da il messaggio errore login

UI obsoleta, poco intuitiva e in generale vecchia. Tempi di risposta dei sistemi spesso snervanti nonostante sia l’iPhone, sia l’impianto di allarme che gestisco godano di connettivitá eccellente. Spesso oggetto di disservizi o malfunzionamenti. Inoltre bug non funzionale ma estremamente fastidioso: quando apri l’app, se stai ascoltando la musica in auto, questa si interrompe. Nel breve dovrò installare un nuovo sistema antifurto in un’altra casa e sto facendo tutto il necessario per evitare di finire ad utilizzare di nuovo quest’app. Siamo nel 2025, esistono svariate alternative esteticamente e funzionalmente “attuali”.

Molto deluso da un’app (a pagamento) che dovrebbe fare il suo lavoro (come ne fanno tante altre) in modo egregio. L’app ha una serie di bug, che sinceramente da utilizzatore, fatico a comprendere. Quella più fastidiosa, è che nel momento in cui inserisco o disinserisci l’antifurto e per puro caso la rete switcha da 4g a Wi-Fi o viceversa, l’app va in loop e non si riesce a fare niente più e bisogna aspettare almeno 4/5 minuti perchè si ripristini. È abbastanza lenta, per aprire, inserire e/o disinserire, ci mette almeno più di un minuto, un’eternità, al giorno d’oggi, (per come la vedo io, da utilizzatore). Provata con devices diversi, anche più recenti, ma purtroppo la storia non cambia. Inoltre fastidiosissima la storia delle disconnessioni gsm della centrale (non si riesce a capire il motivo), che se ti trovi preciso in quei minuti (e purtroppo mi è capitato già due volte in pochi mesi) con l’app non riesci a fare nulla. Insomma un’app che per quello che costa, di questi problemi non ne dovrebbe avere. Due stelle per dare fiducia e per far sì che venga aggiornata più spesso!

Ottima app nel suo complesso offre diverse personalizzazioni ed i comandi rispondono bene. 

Solo una considerazione nella gestione cronotermostati. Premesso che preferivo l’interfaccia della precedente versione di app essendo più comoda nelle impostazioni della temperatura; consiglio, se possibile, l’inserimento di un pulsante per effettuare un refresh della lettura temperatura. Questo perché spesso, quando accedo al menu non mi legge la temperatura aggiornata ma quella dell’ultimo accesso in app. Quindi mi tocca uscire e rientrar dal menu, anche più volte in alcuni casi. 
Per il resto tutto ok. Molto consigliata.

App semplice e intuitiva! Finalmente posso controllare con una sola app, antifurto, telecamere, riscaldamento, cancello, box, tapparelle luci e irrigazione!!!! Certo il solo sistema non è sufficiente, bisogna affidarsi ad un professionista che conosca bene il sistema! Soddisfatto!

Manca la possibilità di creare una mappa virtuale dell’abitazione e di escludere gli ingressi più simultaneamente (ad esempio toccando la parete o la finestra/porta virtuale) sulla mappa. 
Spesso il sistema si connette molto lentamente e dalla disattivazione dell’allarme, quest’ultimo suona perché non fa in tempo a disattivarsi prima del nostro accesso in abitazione. 
Non è possibile modificare la password dell’impianto direttamente dall’app ma solo fisicamente dall’abitazione.

The account side is not too bad but the DVR side needs lots of improvement, starting from the resize of the windows which is impossible to get full screen. The scroll on the past hours of recording is almost impossible to use. The audio remains ON even if you close the app. You need to turn it of before closing the app. It would be nice to have a 2 cameras split screen, one on top and the other on the bottom. The mic on the camera needs some noice cancelling, because there is too much noise around even if the room is empty

Update: risolto come da indicazioni. Alzo la valutazione ma ancora troppe cose mancano, speriamo nelle prossime release. 

Update: iOS 17.4 non effettua più login alla centrale da app. Si entra solo da link web. Mai vista una migrazione o manutenzione server peggiore di questa per un’azienda di sicurezza. Per carità, nulla da dire sulle centrali e sull’hardware, ma la parte software è un disastro e negli ultimi due mesi una debacle. Ora un problema di login ma se si entra dal web con le stesse credenziali è tutto ok, quindi il problema è l’app. Insomma Elmo, dal punto di vista software siamo dentro anni luce rispetto ai competitor.

L’app fa il suo lavoro, ma ha una grafica che dev’essere rinnovata, in più aggiungerei il supporto all’’autenticazione Face ID per la disattivazione o attivazione dell’allarme al posto di inserire il codice, poi se si potesse sarebbe comodo rimuovere la notifica di inserimento automatico dell’allarme se è già stato inserito precedentemente!

Dallo storico non si vede se le chiamate sono andate a buon fine e quali numeri la centralina è riuscita a chiamare. In più sarebbe utile poter avere due tipi di visualizzazione dello storico (distinguibili da una spunta tipo): visualizzazione “completa” per installatori e utenti smanettoni, e visualizzazione “semplice” per utenti standard (dove l’attivazione uscite ad esempio, ma anche altre righe, sarebbero da non mostrare perché fanno confusione in mezzo alle altre righe evento)
