### 3/5 — Update Please!!

*2017-07-04, version 2.43*

I have 9 alarm systems that I connect with every single day using this app.. It's crucial to my business to have this app. Please spend just a little time updating this app for everyone who need/use it daily before iOS gets updated and this app no longer works.

### 3/5 — Useful app

*2017-06-27, version 2.43*

Been using for years very handy. Would appreciate modern update as per iOS notice this app will be obsolete soon. We all pay a lot of money to have access to this facility. Time to give customers what they pay for. Connecting can be slow presumably due to accessibility of remote site. Would be nice if worked as fast as raw SMS. Love the keypad interface. Cute. No way to log out of app seems odd. Have to just quit and hope that closed session.

### 3/5 — Update needed!

*2016-11-06, version 2.43*

I really enjoy using this app, but my iPhone sent me a message saying this app needs to be updated or it will slow down my iPhone. I really encourage the system technicians to update this nice app.

### 2/5 — Often doesn't connect

*2015-12-12, version 2.43*

App just keeps trying to connect. I've shut it down and tried again, it won't login.

### 3/5 — Recently broken?

*2015-04-29, version 2.43*

This app has always bee rock solid for me, but since either IOS 8.3 or the AT&T 19.1 carrier network update, I can't connect anymore. Protection 1 came out, replaced my GSM modem and verified everything, but still no luck. Anyone else having this problem?

### 1/5 — Failing Communication Error message

*2013-12-10, version 2.42*

Still not working right. Sometimes I can't even login to set my alarm. Not happy. This was a big selling point for me for choosing Protection One. I may have to look at others now

### 3/5 — Failure to communicate

*2013-11-01, version 2.42*

Works only after getting a message "failure to communicate" when I login.. Press ok and it seems to work then onwards

### 1/5 — Junk

*2013-10-21, version 2.42*

Just finished updating this app which was suppose to have iOS 7 issues resolved..... Nope.

### 1/5 — Still does not work!!!

*2013-10-21, version 2.42*

After waiting patiently for an iOS 7 update, I installed this and it still does not work! It says "Error failing communication".

### 4/5 — Works Great!

*2013-10-20, version 2.42*

This app is fully functional again and works great with iOS 7. It is basic but does what it's supposed to do.

### 1/5 — Fix it, other companies don't have these bugs.

*2013-10-20, version 2.36*

:(

### 1/5 — Joke

*2013-10-18, version 2.36*

Barely worked prior to the latest ios update, now it just crashes. Junk. Can't wait for my contract to be over. So many other options.

### 1/5 — Horrible not working on iOS 7

*2013-10-18, version 2.36*

Before the iOS 7, it was spotty and super slow.
The whole point of having this was to arm after I leave
garage as keypad is in house and now I'm being charged extra for not even being able to arm my house. I can't wait until my contract is done so I can switch alarm companies. This was the reason I decided to do Protection One. Big mistake!!

### 1/5 — App doesn't work with iOS 7 but just call and they will refund your service fee!

*2013-10-17, version 2.36*

I used to love this app. We used it all the time. It wasn't the greatest UI but it did it's job. Then with ios7 it stopped working. I think they should refund everyone their service fee. But they probably won't.

### 1/5 — Update the app!

*2013-10-16, version 2.36*

We are paying for service to use remotely, but the app hasn't worked since Ios7. I'll be contacting Protection One for an adjustment to my monthly bill.

### 1/5 — Doesn't work with iPhone iOS 7

*2013-10-14, version 2.36*

You only find this out after you call them for assistance!
No emails from them saying they are working to fix the problem!
Not very hi-tech from the people monitoring your home!!!!!!

### 1/5 — What Happened?

*2013-10-12, version 2.36*

Nominal before the update to ios7, now does not work at all.

*2017-03-07, version 2.43*

This was a good app when the system came out, but as everyone knows technology advances but this app has not. Please update the app or are you going to make everyone have to update there security system that way we can be overcharged again!!

### 1/5 — App needs updating

*2017-03-05, version 2.43*

Used to work ok. Now is complete failure. They take your money for the additional service but don't update their app which is required for the service!

### 5/5 — Works great with iPhone 5/iOS 7

### 5/5 — Fixed

*2013-10-21, version 2.42*

After being down for a couple weeks, an update was released and works great with ios7... This app is great.

### 5/5 — Works very well

*2013-10-12, version 2.36*

The application works very well; it allows you to remotely arm/disarm the alarm. But prior to using the application you must first log in protection one website and then configure the phone (or other mobile devices) that will be used to run the app. Good luck.

### 5/5 — App works for me

*2012-04-20*

Setup multiple iPhones via the web site and they both work great. The delay to connect initially is minor, but I hardly expect it to be instant. Once your connected, it is quite responsive. Very happy with the functionality. (I should note that we don't have cameras, so I can't speak to how they work.)

### 5/5 — Works Great!!!

*2012-02-11*

At first I gave a bad review, but have since reversed it. You need to setup permissions correctly on their website first in order to use this app. Call tech support if you're having trouble. I can arm/disarm through my iPhone. Very convenient.

### 5/5 — Works Well When Set Up Properly

*2011-05-17*

My iPhone4 cellphone receives about a -80 to -95 signal strength in my home. It is on the same AT&T system as the GSM unit in the e-Secure hardware. This isn't really good or bad signal level, and is adequate for data communication with eSecure.

The original installation was not done properly, and i could not get connected to the control panel reliably. I know that my Viper SmartStart works on my car in the driveway and so should my e-Secure at the same location. They both are GSM data on AT&T.

A display on my keypad showed "bF" and a call to tech support identified this as a battery fault. This is not correct, the manual and a second service rep say it is a "Backup Fault", or in other words, my GSM backup/communicator. A service call got a good rep out to check out my system, and he got it running quickly and consistently.

I now get connected to my system with the e-Secure about 19 out of 20 tries. It takes about 30-60 seconds to connect, and allow onscreen keypad entries, but once I am logged into the system, any command goes into effect in 2-3 seconds. If I do not get connected, I get a notification of a connect failure, so I know to try again. This keeps me from staring at a spinning wheel for more than a minute or so.

All in All, I'm very pleased and confident in this system, and since it's cellular technology, I can accept a failure to connect once in a while, just like a dropped phone call once in a while. It still logs into my keypad faster than on the e-Secure website, and I have a fairly fast cable modem.

### 5/5 — Dont rate the program bad because your a moron

*2010-10-09*

You can create multiple users, each individual users can add two different cell phones each. So if you have a family of four you can have up to 8 different cell phones (iphones) to control the system. You can add ipads and ipod touches really easily and they don't even count against your two cell devices. Once you have configured an iphone down load the app on your ipad/ipod and use the same information you used to activate your phone on the ipad/Ipod......your done. The trick use your cell number on the ipad/ipod (yes even though it is not a phone) it wont matter all your doing is verifying the device is supposed to have access to your home/business alarm. With the 3gIpad you can use it if you have cell coverage. With the Ipad/ipod you can use it only if you have wifi.

If you need further help call protection one`s 800 number or duh read the help section once you have logged in to the e-secure portion of the protection one website. Remember dot rate the program bad (blame others) for your ignorance.

Oh I will agree that the log in is a little slow, which I am sure will be updated in the future this is still relatively new technology.

### 5/5 — Awesome app!

*2010-05-04*

I love being able to control my alarm system from my phone, from anywhere as long as I have Internet access (Edge, 3G or Wi-Fi).

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2010-04-14, version 0*

Works great. I like being wirelessly connected to my home from anywhere.
