### 3/5 — Needs main battery percentage

*2026-07-05*

Nice app but would be much more helpful to have an actual percentage for the bike main battery. 5 bars is not enough. Update please Shimano.

### 3/5 — Pre-load maps

*2026-02-02*

This has everything you need in a free bike computer. However, the only thing missing is the ability to send routes from other map services into E-Tube ride. If they had this feature I would never consider a dedicated bike computer.

### 4/5 — Un petit manquement

*2025-12-29*

5 * dès qu’il y aura le D+ et D-

### 4/5 — Can’t connect Apple Watch

*2025-12-13*

I love this app, but I cannot get it connect to my Apple Watch. It did use to connect to my Garmin so I don’t understand it!?

### 2/5 — Crashes too often

*2025-10-22*

Seems like a functional app, when it works. The problem is that it is the only ui interface I have for my e-bike, and it crashes every other ride. To reconnect I need to power my bike down and back up again. I’d trade 80% of the features in the app for greater reliability and stability. Please work on this Shimano

### 2/5 — Enttäuschende Einschränkungen für engagierte Radfahrer

*2025-08-15*

Shimano sollte hier dringend nachbessern!

### 3/5 — Pretty good tracking app for Di2 users

*2025-08-04*

This is a pretty good tracking app for cycling if you have Di2 gearing, because it can display the gear in use as position number or sprocket teeth and also the battery levels, as well as the usual distance, speed, hr, power, etc parameters. It’s easy enough to set up with a good selection of displays and a map with your track superimposed. It could considerably be improved by showing the battery levels as % instead of the battery icon, by adding elevation measurement, and particularly by allowing a gps route file to be superimposed on the map. As with all cycling apps, battery usage is quite high, in my hands around 20% per hour, so around 4 hours comfortably from a full charge.

### 4/5 — Gute App

*2025-06-07*

### 4/5 — Glitchy

*2025-06-05*

I’ve used the app on and off for the last six months and usually within the first five minutes of the ride exits out and multiple meters stop wording working whether it’s cadence or speed or distance traveled. I’ve unloaded it loaded it doesn’t change. This thing is horrible.

### 4/5 — intuitiv, flexibles Design

*2025-05-31*

### 3/5 — Carte

*2025-05-21*

Manque fond de carte IGN

### 3/5 — Passable

*2025-03-10*

Capable of basic functions but the discard and save buttons as well as confirmation buttons are always opposite of how I’d expect them so I end up deleting data. Not a very modern/professional look to the app.

### 3/5 — Needs Apple watch integration

*2025-01-12*

Great app but needs Apple watch heart rate integration would give 5 if so

### 1/5 — Barely works

*2026-06-03*

Garbage. Cannot customise the data fields so using it to monitor an ebike is literally impossible as the correct data can't be displayed. Has been a known issue for 5+ years and nothing has been done to fix it.

### 1/5 — Manque de données

*2026-04-05*

### 1/5 — Unreliable

*2025-11-02*

Did an 80km ride today. App crashed multiple times throughout and failed to recover logged data.
Rebooted phone on the go, still same issue. Crash to folder view.
Good job I tracked separately with my Apple Watch.
App not recommended.

### 1/5 — Won’t load

*2025-09-16*

Needs an update for 26 support

### 1/5 — Battery Percentage??

*2025-07-01, version 2.0.10*

The one feature I need is the actual battery percentage. I’d like to know if I have 18% or 2% left. Bars are inadequate. I’m highly disappointed as this is a safety issue

### 1/5 — App crashes and loses long rides ep801

*2024-11-21*

It has happened three times already during long rides, the app will crash when you switch off the display or switch to a different app. When you look at the etube ride app again it restarts and gives a message that the ride was corrupted and therefore deleted...completely unacceptable it should not crash and if it does it should restart the cached ride. Also, it needs to integrate to other services especially now that strava is shutting down their API access you need the ability to send to training peaks and other apps as well.

### 1/5 — Will not connect

*2024-10-06, version 2.0.8*

Supposedly and according to Shimano Service Trch, this spp works with the SC-EN610 Shimano cycling computer but the searching wheel goes round and round but never connects using my iPhone 14.

### 5/5 — A good app, but lacking in detail…

*2026-08-13*

Update to my previous review, below: The app now shows battery state of charge in 10% increments, in other words 8 bars = 80%.

This addresses my only significant issue with the app.

My next challenge for the developers would be to be able to view this info remotely? Or even better, have it switch off at a pre-determined level? Currently you have to physically turn the bike off to see SOC, but maybe this is just not possible.

Great work – top marks!! Now for the next step…

Original Review:
In overall terms this app offers reasonably good functionality. My Orbea Diem is set up to use it as a display with the SP Connect system. Nice.

One thing that is unsatisfactory is the five bar indicator for state of charge, displaying charge in increments of 20%. If it shows three bars, is it at 60% or only 41? If I want to charge to 80% (with these batteries a general rule is to mainly keep it between 20 and 80) should I charge to four bars? If so, it might only be at 61% On the other hand if I go to five bars it might be at 81% or I could have gone all the way to 100!

Not really good enough if you want to get the best range from your bike while maintaining battery health. Could do better!

### 5/5 — GPS Radcomputer fürs Smartphone

*2025-08-21*

### 5/5 — Game changer

*2025-07-28*

A few burps but overall works well to track effort and speed.

### 5/5 — Works pretty well as a bike computer

*2025-04-01*

I use it as my primary—while I ride—bike computer, and it’s works really well for that on a Shimano 11 speed rim brake Di2. I come from using Shimano’s Flight Deck bike computer (when mechanical) and this is the natural progression from that. Highly customizable, rudimentary d-fly switch control, perfect for on the fly computing. Not quite stable enough to solely be relied upon to track your rides if you don’t want to lose a ride every now and then, but hey, it’s on my phone, so I run Cyclemeter in the background for that. I love that it—like Flight Deck—displays what chain ring and cassette gear I’m in (if you tell it to). I also love that it displays my sensor battery status (Wahoo speed and cadence, Watch HR, and my Di2 battery status). Other than providing a nice picture at the end for the record of the ride, its map function is completely useless. But hey, it’s on my phone, I’ve got Google Maps for that. I bought an iPhone 13 mini to use with it because that’s the smallest and lightest iPhone with a decent battery life. Quadloc mount. With a new battery in the 13 mini it can easily go 6 hours without worrying about battery life—and that’s streaming Bluetooth to my AirPod pro’s, running gps on at least two apps constantly, with the screen always on, and with an Apple Watch connected, a BT speed sensor, BT cadence sensor, and a dongle converting and broadcasting the Apple Watch HR data to BT HRP. If I had a power sensor it would display date from that as well (I don’t, but I’m looking at them on eBay which is a bad sign that I will sooner or later). I understand that it also works with e-bikes, but I can’t speak to that. It has its strengths and weaknesses, but its strengths are so strong that they far outweigh its shortcomings. It’s silly to use a dedicated head (that costs $$$) and is heavy, when you have your phone with you anyway and This is a really good app for that.

### 5/5 — Great app, range estimate is odd

*2025-02-18*

Overall I like the app a lot, works well, consistent connection. Just one odd thing, the range estimate for the battery seems very inconsistent. It usually drifts upwards for most of my ride then sometimes shows larger discontinuous jumps back down. This is while riding in eco mode consistently. Not sure how you’re calculating it but maybe give some more love to this feature?
Also, a feature request. Could we have estimated power using data from the motor rather than only from a power meter?

### 5/5 — Great app

*2024-07-14*

…for recording your ride with extremely useful additional information for gear usage, enables you to set your gears up for optimal use. Can’t fault it…

### 5/5 — Gut bis Sehr gut

*2024-06-22*

Bedienung intuitiv - alles selbsterklaerend - sehr vielseitig in den Darstellungsfenstern - hervorragende Möglichkeit der Routenplanung - Nur leider stürzt die App immer wiedermal ab.

### 5/5 — Joy ride

*2024-05-31, version 2.0.8*

👍
