A message says there is a communication error. The app used to work. Now it only works 10% of the time. I tried deleting, reinstalling. Shutting it down, opening. Turning the phone on and off- and there is no change You just keep getting these “communication errors” on startup. The home pad works perfectly, and that has an app in it too. It’s just the mobile app that is useless. I can see from other reviews that this is a common problem. Terrible mobile app ### 1/5 — Rubbish *2026-02-02, version 9.112* The app doesn’t work when your away from the home like it used to, no point having it and the internet drops out on the tablet at home so sometimes doesn’t work in the home. It’s so frustrating, paying a lot of money for an aircon system that you can’t use to its full potential. ### 2/5 — Need to update the app from developer spcifically for Iphone *2026-01-31, version 9.112* It was running well before i upgrade my ios 26. Right after i update the ios, its no longer allow me to do remote access. Always show up AA42. No matter what i did even have to reset from the central tablet or my phone, always end up the same. ### 2/5 — Worked ok then didn’t *2026-01-17* We bought a house with this air condition unit set up. It was great to start. You could connect remote while you were out at the shops to turn the air on or off. But after a month or so we spent so much time reconnecting, refreshing the app, deleting and re downloading the app, to no avail. It’s so bad, the only way to use it is through the Home Screen tablet in your house. The app just does not connect to wifi. We just got so frustrated with the app we don’t bother to use it anymore, which is very annoying because it’s such a wonderful and helpful idea if the app would work properly. We’ve had our internet connection checked and all. One moment it connects to the AC head unit, the next it vanishes into the void—no warning, no explanation, no accountability. This isn’t a fringe issue or an edge case. It’s the core function of the app, and it fails at it regularly. What makes this especially infuriating is that nothing has changed on my end. Same home network. Same internet stability. Same devices. Yet the app behaves as if the laws of connectivity are optional. When a control app can’t reliably control the thing it’s designed for, it’s not an inconvenience—it’s a fundamental failure. The UI doesn’t help either. When the app fails to connect (which is often), it offers little insight into why. No meaningful diagnostics, no actionable error messages—just vague silence that leaves the user guessing whether to restart the app, the phone, the AC unit, or their patience. A quick look at the app store ratings tells the rest of the story. Consistently low reviews point to a neglected, poorly supported ecosystem where bugs linger and user feedback goes to die. This isn’t a polished, dependable platform—it feels like abandonware with a logo. In short, E-zone is unreliable, opaque, and frustrating. An app that intermittently works is arguably worse than one that never does, because it constantly teases functionality without delivering it. Until basic stability is treated as a requirement instead of a bonus, this app doesn’t deserve a place on any device that values reliability. ### 1/5 — Absolute garbage *2025-11-16, version 9.112* This app is rot. Often does not connect to the system - tells you there’s no connectivity yet the system tells you it’s connected to the wifi. Paid for the ability to access it from anywhere yet we often cannot! Have reset the controller tablet, reset wifi, uninstalled/installed app again. It is great to be able to create and edit scenes from the wall panel, however it would be even better if this could be done on the phone app as well. I used to be able to edit the start and stop times in Scenes on my phone, but now I can only edit the start time - the stop time has disappeared from the edit function on the phone app. Can this please be brought back? ### 2/5 — WHYYYY *2025-04-10, version 9.112* Why did you update the app and delete the “end time” feature from the scenes menu! This was a great feature enabling us to cool/warm the house and for it to shut off. Now what we just run it constantly. I’m actually so annoyed. BEING BACK THE END TIME FEATURE IN THE SCENE MENU ### 1/5 — Events do not work *2025-04-04* I have events set up where the heat mode will turn on if the suburb temperature drops below 10 degrees. This has never once worked. I’ve tried troubleshooting with AdvantageAir over the phone, and they’ve sent a technician out to investigate the panel. At every turn, user error was assumed until the technician confirmed in person that I had set them up correctly and that this is likely a bug/coding/integration problem in the backend. Please sort this out, winter is coming and I don’t want to go another year freezing myself in the mornings. ### 1/5 — Possibly the worst app ever *2025-03-31, version 8.860* Quite possibly one of the worst apps I’ve ever had to use. Clunky to use and 9 times out of 10 changing settings for a zone just doesn’t work e.g. changing a zones fan setting from 100% to 50% there is a pause and the app just reverts back to 100%. Or even just switching on a zone or changing from cool to fan. Same. A pause then it just reverts back to the original setting. ### 1/5 — Useless App *2025-02-02, version 8.860* App has never worked once. Completely useless and garbage. Support is nonexistent. I have a few wifi connected devices and my home wifi is solid. Everything works well except this piece of junk. I even have Chinese products with impeccable connectivity. Why can’t this just work as well? Wall and phone app up to date but I still have sync issues. It’s so much easier to just not use the app, walk to the wall panel and do whatever I need to do from there like it’s 1999. ### 1/5 — Promises so much.....deliver so little *2026-07-20, version 9.112* This app promises the sort of home automation remote control that these days is pretty standard. Nice features to remotely check and manage the AC remotely via your phone. Unfortunately more often that not it fails to work. Can’t connect, cryptic error messages....waste of time. The eZone controller in the house isn’t much better. Prone to continual restarts, updates and please contact Advantage Air for service messages. Avoid this unit and app. ### 1/5 — Great concept, but the app has become unreliable *2026-07-12* We moved into a home that already had this air conditioning system installed. Initially, everything worked perfectly and being able to control the unit remotely from our phones was extremely convenient. After a short period, however, the app began having constant connection problems. We’ve tried reconnecting the device, refreshing the app, logging in again, and even uninstalling and reinstalling it several times, but the issue remains. The system itself still works through the in-home controller, but the mobile app frequently fails to connect to the Wi‑Fi, making remote control virtually unusable. It’s disappointing because the feature is excellent when it works. We’ve also checked our internet connection and found no problems there, so the issue appears to be with the app or its connection to the system. Hopefully a future update improves the reliability, because at the moment the remote functionality has become too frustrating to depend on. ### 1/5 — This is 100% rubbish *2026-06-23, version 9.112* A 100% pure rubbish, I don’t know if the author, or authors, of this app even know how to type a “hello world” on a computer screen. ### 1/5 — Wifi connection fails *2026-06-18, version 9.112* I constantly experience Wi-Fi connection errors, and the app keeps saying my Wi-Fi password is incorrect. I haven’t changed the password, and it works perfectly on all my other devices. Settings are to automatically connect to wifi yet still needs to be manually connected at the unit in the house on the tablet. This has caused frequent issues in turning off the system remotely resulting in wasteful electricity usage and bills. Even a hard reset doesn’t work. When it does work… it’s absolutely amazing, but seems to be very much just pure luck if it does work. I was able to make a service call and within a day was able organise a technician to attend. Brad came and quickly identified the issue and restored my system back to full use. Furthermore Brad took the time to explain all settings to make sure we get best use of our system - both efficiency and cost wise.
