「中央氣象署E - 地震測報」APP 之目的為利用日益普遍之行動網路通訊，將地震相關資訊主動推播至接收者的手持式行動載具，期能有效縮短通報所需時程，以提供地震發生後之應變時效。主要功能如下：

＊強震即時警報：APP 收到推播之強震即時警報後，結合手機之 GPS 定位或依使用者預先設定之地區與其他相關參數，進行快速演算，發出警報聲音、文字或影像之告警提醒。
＊顯著有感地震報告推播：APP 接收推播之地震報告後，以清楚明顯之圖文方式展示：發震時間、震央地點（經緯度）、地震規模與深度、各地震度等。
＊海嘯資訊推播：APP 收到推播之海嘯資訊後，以清楚明顯之圖文方式展示：地震資訊、臺灣海嘯警界分區之預估海嘯波到時與預估浪高等。
＊具備查詢歷史地震報告、全球地震、太平洋海嘯的功能，設計友善易用的介面列表彙整與圖文展示介面，並提供查詢條件設定功能，例如地區、縣市、時間、規模、震度等。
*地震活動：以3D動畫方式播放特定時段之臺灣地區地震活動，可自訂資料區間(最多三個月)、播放速度、觀看角度及遠近。藉此了解臺灣地震之時空分布與孕震構造。

開發者您好，自從變成無障礙版本之後，獲得很多視覺障礙者的熱烈回響，感覺功能上變得好用許多，但是以下問題不知道能不能修改，如果有更新到最新版，希望可以在新版增加是否開啟地震警報音效的功能，不然到時候地震一來沒通知有點麻煩，等到要準備看手機時已經開始搖晃了，希望可以透過是否開啟音效通知的功能讓使用者方便去勾選是否需要，而不是像現在這樣子沒聲音，這狀況已經持續3年多一直都未改善，希望開發者能重視這一點，在更新時能夠增加這套功能，感謝開發者的用心
