### 5/5 — Preferred E6B

*2024-04-01*

My go too pre-flight app. Clean design, easier too use than the other $10 version 🛩️

### 5/5 — Very nice!

*2024-03-21*

(In Borat’s voice) 👍

### 5/5 — Quick and easy interface

*2024-02-01*

This app is easy to use. Really appreciate having the time calculator. The E6B functions made my solo XC planning a lot more efficient.

### 5/5 — Great download!

*2024-01-30*

This useful app is a clear example of effective simplicity that reduces any visual clutter and distractions, resulting in a cleaner and user-friendly interface. It’s easy and straightforward to navigate through, and excels due to its attractive and clear-cut design. Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — Time Saver

*2024-01-28*

This app saved me quite a bit of time when I didn’t have it. I’ve also used it to double check my own plans. Looking forward to what’s coming in the next update.

### 5/5 — An invaluable asset for all aviators

*2024-01-26*

What an amazing find! Common (but essential) calculations that once took me at least an hour are performed instantly. The interface is clear, bold, and readable from a glance. Aviate, navigate, communicate. . . . But let this app calculate. A game changer.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Purchases IMMEDIATELY

*2025-08-06*

This is a bad app. Markets itself as free just to ask for immediate purchase upon opening

**Developer response:** Hi there,

Sorry you feel that an app needs to be free for it to be good or useful.

As for requiring an immediate purchase - that's incorrect. You have the option of starting a free trial on startup - just like so many apps on the App Store, including some famous big-brand aviation apps displayed alongside this one.

Did you start a free trial? If so, did you evaluate the app and it's features? Do you have a specific complaint about a feature or lack of? If not, then leaving an angry review isn't really a fair for an indie developer, is it?

The only way to offer a free trial is for you to download it for free. You can't do that if you have to pay upfront. Only make the lifetime purchase if you actually find the app useful.

Finally, there are some free E6B apps available on the App Store. I recommend you check them out - I have and some have even produced incorrect calculations.

Building an app that gives you correct calculations, is useful, and saves you time takes a lot of effort - something all developers should be compensated for.

Best wishes on your flight lessons (if you're a student).

### 2/5 — Good but.

*2024-06-25*

Finally, an E6B that has all variables on one page so you can just enter numbers and it feeds you results. (Instead of lots of pages with one formula per page which is the old style but not necessary). But, in my case, distances of more than 100 nm cannot be entered so that’s kind of limiting.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback! I have an update coming soon that will fix this

### 3/5 — Not Free

*2025-10-08*

Very simple, the app isn't actually free. It costs $2.99/mo or a lifetime purchase of $8.99. Very deceptive, but if you don't mind the mild case of false advertising, it appears to work good.

**Developer response:** Thanks for your feed back. The app was always meant to be paid, but the only way to offer a free trial was to make it free in the app store and offer a subscription. (Unfortunately, only subscriptions are allowed to have a free trial - not lifetime purchases). I know, it's not ideal and I wish the rules were different. But I'll make the "purchase requires" messaging more prominent. In the meanwhile, please feel free to reach out to help@flight9.app if you've any questions, or would like to suggest any future updates (always free to lifetime customers :) )

### 3/5 — FLT1 E6B

*2025-02-15*

The E6B from FLT1 is missing an important feature in weight and balance. There needs to be a function to subtract weight for fuel burn. The weight and balance calculator only allows for weight to be added. Once that is added it will get 5 Stars.

**Developer response:** Hi there, v2.0 now allows you to subtract weight for fuel burn. You can now calculate your weight and CG at ramp, takeoff, landing, and zero-fuel conditions. Feel free to reach out to help@flightone.app if you have any questions or suggestions! Thanks again

### 4/5 — Great so far

*2025-07-05*

Easy to use, I like the layout and having the local and zulu times at the top are a nice touch.

Would like to have a pressure/density altitude calculator as well tho! Don’t know why thats not on here as it seems like a simple piece missing. Just plugging in elevation, altimeter setting and temperature.

**Developer response:** Hi there, you can calculate pressure and density altitude - those are in the E6B page, right at the top.

The E6B tab was designed to take into account all the info you might need for filling out a nav-log.

Hope that helps! Happy to help you further at help@flight9.app

### 4/5 — Good but.

*2024-06-27*

Now my go-to E6B.

Finally, an E6B that has all variables on one page so you can just enter numbers and it feeds you results. (Instead of lots of sub menus with one formula per page which is the old style based on paper slide rules but not optimal).

**Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback! This issue has been fixed and you can now enter distances greater than 100nm. You should be able to update the app now

### 5/5 — Awesome App

*2025-12-28*

Used it a bunch of times for some recent flights. Very user friendly

### 5/5 — Useful

*2025-10-12*

Great for quick calculations on ground and in flight

### 5/5 — Perfect for Student Nav Logs to Quick Ref for Licensed and Rated Pilots

*2025-03-21*

This E6B app is perfect for filling out your nav log or for quick reference while in flight.
It is designed to simply enter your known data and supplies your unknowns in a logical format. All the calculations are on a single page, so there is no page flopping when looking for a previous solution.
The built-in keyboard facilitates the ease of use and reduces the chance of error especially when trying to get a quick calculation done.
Highly recommend this E6B app.

### 5/5 — Super!

*2024-09-22*

Saw a colleague using it and tried it out. Recommend it! Makes preflight planning quick and easy

## Most praised reviews (6 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best nav log tool I’ve seen

*2024-09-10*

Simple and clear. Made pre-flight planning and performance calculations a breeze. Interpolation tool is a nice touch - haven’t seen it anywhere else.

Simple and robust, with adequate details, which is what you want while flying.

### 5/5 — Neat app

*2024-09-06*

Simple and easy to use. Made planning xc flights fast, esp. when variables change, like baro, temp, wind dir./ speed, etc.
Zulu time (and local) on top of screen is a nice bonus. Weight and balance calculator too.

### 5/5 — Functional, efficient, well-designed

*2024-07-16*

Everything you need in one spot. Very user-friendly. This tool can be used to speed up filling out a nav-log for XC flights.

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2024-07-06*

Super helpful. I like that you feed it data and the outputs update on the fly. Real time saver.

### 5/5 — Perfect for nav logs

*2024-06-23*

Wasn’t going to download this at first but glad I went with it. Easy to use and helped me fill out the nav log quicker than the physical E6B calculator (including the app version).

Accurate, robust app that hasn’t crashed on me ever which is always a good thing when you’re in the air.

Love the custom keypad - makes data entry less error prone than the standard keyboards.

Over all I highly recommend this E6B!

Looking forward to updates (feature request for the developer: Would be great to have a METAR / TAF look up plus a way to plan out the entire nav log!)

### 5/5 — A great app for Pilots!

*2024-04-21*

I love that all essential calculations are in one page, and when I update an input any relevant calculations are also automatically updated as well. Saved a lot of time because I didn’t have to now manually re-calculate everything.
