The wind low portion is plotting the direction the wind is going to, not the direction from. Wind is measured from the direction it is blowing from. Hence a head wind of 270 means to land on runway 27 in a head wind (blowing from), not a tail wind (blowing to).

The app currently utilizes the “wind vector down” method (plotting the wind speed down from the grommet), which is a standard solution taught in many flight training programs. I understand that different training sources and pilots may prefer alternative approaches.

In the meantime, you can use the tool in Pro mode — in the wind section, there is a “Reverse Wind Direction” option, which allows you to use the “wind vector up” method if you prefer. I am also planning to implement this method in the normal mode in a future update.

### 5/5 — E6b Emulator that works-no adds!

Update review, the developer has done a fantastic effort on this app-I would fly with it in my flight bag. I have crossed checked with my iphone 14+ both front and rear sides against real analog E6-b's and found it to be correct. 
Just a user note: the IAS calculator tab is of little use from my point of view.   The speed tab should have KTS to MPH  conversion. 
Lastly if the end user could re-arrange the order of each tab ie-group pressure alt, density alt, fuel mass in one group then a lot of operational safety information is in front of the pilot before take-off.

A good tool to carry on your iPhone if your an aviator who fly's. I own several real E6b's so I crossed checked the results and found the app front and rear emulations usable. This is a good flight planning aid but in actual flight leave it in the flight bag as a back up. 
The calculator sections are limited by the absent (-) key so a negitive number can not be properly inputed. 
I did not see a method to convert gallons to pounds/ liters to Kg"s etc. The front side of the E6b can do this if one knows the conversion factors but is prone to entry error's. 
Looking forward for updates.
