Its been over a year since the last update and you still don’t have offline capability. For an organization that promotes flight, why can’t you support those of us that would like to read on a plane? Can’t log in every time if there’s no service. Want to read on a car trip, in an airplane, anyplace you’d want to read a magazine? Not gonna happen with this app. EAA is a great organization, and this is a great magazine, but this is the most useless app I’ve tried to use. ### 1/5 — Still needs off line support! *2018-06-04, version 6.0.1* Figured I’d catchup on reading so I downloaded a couple months worth, then found I can’t open off-line. Looks fine when it works, but generally a bad experience! ### 1/5 — This new app does not let you read offline *2018-05-05, version 6.0.1* You can’t use it without an internet connection, and you can’t even log in to read the magazines you have downloaded. This needs to be changed ASAP! I gave it one star since I can’t give it zero stars... ### 1/5 — Useless: Can't Use offline! *2017-01-25, version 8.1* This app used to be OK. Now it asks you to login all the time, so you can't use it offline. So you can't read it on an airplane for instance. The time I get to read, is when I'm offline, so no Sport Aviation for me. APP no longer recognizes my username or password. EAA chat line instructed to use last name and EAA number, which of course did not work because the app requires UN and PW. Chat provided the link for download from the website. Now Worthless *2020-11-26, version 7.0.131* Sorry to say I hate the new app. I fly for a living and rarely have good WiFi when I have time to catch up with my magazines. This new app says you can download a pdf, it just locks up the app and, even if you leave it for hours, it downloads nothing. Please fix this! I'm primarily using an iPad 11 pro (2nd gen). I've only filled up 1/3 the storage space - it's not a storage issue. I've deleted the app and re-downloaded, but the problem remains. The old app let me download and save all the issues I wanted to. That was an AWESOME benefit. Wish this new version did the same. I also find it incredibly annoying to have to login every time I open the app. Hoping for some improvements. ### 1/5 — Unusable *2020-11-12, version 7.0.131* Since the major update, this app has been LOUSY. Constantly asking for login, wont recognize my login info, requires internet connection to function— or more accurately, to FAIL. EAA doesn’t answer email requests for help. Recommend you skip this sorry app and get the print version. ### 1/5 — New version a big step backwards *2020-11-06* New version requires log in each time. No capability for download for offline reading. The old app worked just fine-should have left it alone. This one crashes frequently and requires a reboot on the iPad along with having to use login every time. Maybe time to go back to paper copy. ## Most praised reviews (5 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Log on problem solved *2026-05-10, version 7.2.1* The app asks for user name and password, which in updated version told me were wrong when I applied them over past couple of years. I discovered the newer app was requiring my last name as user name and my membership number as the password. Tried it on a long hunch and it worked. ### 5/5 — Love the mag *2024-07-11* Love to read the mag on my iPad, but take note: The login is your last name, and password is your member number. Not obvious in the app. ### 5/5 — Works great for me *2019-11-01, version 6.0.1* I use an iPad Air 6th gen. The magazines download quickly, are easy to read & expand normally( enlarge pictures/print). All off line too.
