## What is Ear Beats?

Your AirPods Pro 3 already measure your heart rate. Ear Beats just lets you see it — all day, without cluttering your Fitness history with a workout.

Heart rate starts the moment your AirPods go in — on your Lock Screen, in a widget, in the Dynamic Island. No workout is saved to your Fitness history. The only thing Ear Beats writes to Health is your heart rate, and only if you turn that on.

WHAT YOU GET

• Automatic tracking — pop your AirPods in and tracking starts. One bud is enough.
• Camera pulse check — no AirPods in? Cover the rear camera with a fingertip for a guided reading, with heart-rate variability on clean signals.
• Always-on tracking — quietly log your heart rate all day, every time your buds are in. (Premium)
• Broadcast to fitness devices — your iPhone becomes a standard Bluetooth heart-rate sensor for Garmin, Wahoo, Peloton, COROS, rowers and treadmills.
• Live Activity — your live heart rate on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island, with a one-minute graph and Pause / Stop right there.
• Home Screen & Lock Screen widgets — your latest BPM at a glance, in every widget size, on iPhone and iPad.
• Heart-rate zones — five color-coded zones, calculated from your real resting heart rate.
• Insights — a daily readiness score, heart-rate variability trend, resting-rate trend, and personal records.
• History — every session, charted, with min, average and peak.
• Spoken cues — zone changes and high/low alerts read straight into your AirPods.
• Feel your heartbeat — optional gentle haptics in time with your pulse.
• Your data, yours — export everything as CSV or JSON. Sync across your devices with iCloud.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

Your heart rate never leaves your iPhone except to your own private iCloud — Ear Beats has no account and no server that sees it. The only information collected is anonymous and non-health: that a purchase happened, an app-open count, and your subscription status. Nothing about your health is ever collected, nothing is sold, and nothing is used to track you across apps.

A WELLNESS TOOL, NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE

Ear Beats is built for everyday heart-rate awareness. It does not diagnose, treat, or monitor any medical condition. For health concerns, talk to a clinician.

REQUIRES

iPhone or iPad on iOS 26. Live in-ear tracking needs AirPods Pro 3 — the only AirPods with a heart-rate sensor; a single AirPod in your ear is enough. No AirPods Pro 3? The camera pulse check works on any iPhone.

Start with a 3-day free trial, then keep everything with a one-time Lifetime unlock or a subscription. Cancel anytime. No ads.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.1.3 — 2026-08-26

Cooler on long sessions — the animated background eases off when your iPhone warms up or Low Power Mode is on, so tracking stays light.

Broadcasting: better compatibility connecting to Bluetooth bike computers and fitness equipment.

Plus general reliability improvements.

### 1.1.2 — 2026-08-18

Steadier all-day tracking — your session now keeps going through pocket time and quiet stretches, so your heart rate stays with you without interruption.

Broadcasting: improved compatibility when streaming your heart rate to Bluetooth fitness devices — cycling computers, bike head units (Garmin, Wahoo, COROS), and gym equipment.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-07-30

• Steadier background tracking — your session keeps going in your pocket instead of stopping partway through a workout or a long stretch.
• Cleaner Apple Health — Ear Beats reads heart rate only, never logging a workout or stray calories, so your Activity rings stay yours.
• Smoother hands-free start when your AirPods Pro 3 connect, with a clear “tracking started” heads-up so you always know it’s running.
• New Heart widget for your Lock Screen, alongside the Pulse Art widget for your Home Screen.
• Plus a Weekly plan with a free trial, and sharper status while a session reconnects.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-07-20

Ear Beats 1.1 — your pulse, with or without AirPods.

• Camera pulse check — read your heart rate from your fingertip with the camera and flash. HRV included on clean readings.
• Always-on tracking (Premium) — quietly log your heart rate all day, every time your AirPods are in.
• Feel your heartbeat — optional gentle haptics in time with your pulse.
• StandBy nightstand mode and a living, flowing backdrop on the Live screen.
• New 7-day free trial on the monthly plan.
• Clearer AirPods compatibility guidance, bigger tap targets, and Live Activity fixes.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-06-17

More reliable heart rate: this update fixes a tracking issue so your heart rate stays connected and updates continuously throughout each session. Plus rest-aware heart alerts that learn your resting baseline and notify you when your heart stays elevated while you've been still (never during a workout), and a tap-to-expand per-zone breakdown of every session.
