## What is Ear Training for Auditions?

Ear training for students preparing for a music high-school or conservatory
audition.

The five item types of the first stage — single note, interval, chord,
melodic memory, rhythmic memory — split into 70 topics along the standard
categories of music theory. Pick the topics you want; after every question
see exactly where you were off, in cents and milliseconds.

TARGET AND YOU
Your pitch trace lies over the target band: did you scoop into the note, how
wide is your vibrato, where did you drift? For rhythm, which beat went which
way, beat by beat.

PRACTICE MODES
• Topic practice — 70 topics, as many as you like
• Intonation practice — sing while you see the notes (long tone, scale,
  arpeggio, melody)
• Full exam simulation — with its scoring rubric shown
• Stage-two practice — sing your own piece; breath, phrases, and the range
  the piece needs against your own comfortable range
• Vocal range measurement and how it changes over time
• Tuner and metronome

NOTHING TO MEMORIZE
Every question is generated on the spot; there is no question bank. Stimuli
stay inside your measured range — your ear is tested, not your vocal cords.

HONESTY
We measure pitch and timing. Timbre, emotion and expression are not measured
and we do not claim otherwise. The simulation's score is not a prediction of
your real exam result, and the screen says so. Stage-two practice has no score.

PRIVACY
Audio is never recorded and never leaves your device. No account, no ads, no
data collection. The app's own code makes no network connections.
