I use this during spare time and I love it!

### 5/5 — Awesome App

*2016-07-20, version 1.1.1*

This app is really helping me. I love the control I have in choosing lessons. Nice, well-thought out progression of lessons! The progression is slow and thorough, but you can jump around when you want to different exercises or kinds of exercises. Clear tones and useful exercises. Good correction, so you can hear what you missed several times if you want before moving on. A+

I'm a music teacher and a musician. I recommend this for my students, and I use it myself from time to time to keep my ear tuned in.

### 5/5 — What I was looking for

### 5/5 — Great App

*2015-12-31, version 1.1.1*

Very helpful, but I wish you could adjust the range of the notes that are played.

### 5/5 — So far, so good.

*2015-12-23, version 1.1.1*

I'm pretty new to this app but what I've seen and heard, it's really fun and working my ear already. Looking forward to seeing where I am in a couple months.

### 5/5 — Great for the ears

*2015-09-01, version 1.1.1*

Awesome for ear training on the go

### 5/5 — Great all around

*2015-08-24, version 1.1.1*

Great app will get hot ear in shape in no time! Good clear tones , not synthetic sounding. Will get the
Most important music muscle in shape, your ear.

### 5/5 — Should have bought it sooner!!!

*2015-07-17, version 1.1.1*

I love this. And it lets you make up your own exercises. This is great for music majors. It is easy to use and not not at all a bore like other ear training tools.

### 5/5 — Great App

The guitar sounds need to bea little cleaner

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Very General

*2016-12-25, version 1.1.1*

I was hoping there would be scale identifying exercises where it presents me with a scale and I would have select which note the scale is in. All it does is make you identify what type of scale it is in like major or minor... etc but I need specific notes. Same with chords if I'm given a chord I want to state which exact chord it is. Being general doesn't really help me that much

### 3/5 — Many chord voicing are too low and muddy

*2019-01-27, version 1.2.0*

Many of the examples are played in a register of the piano that is too low for practical use. You don’t voice chords that low - too muddy. Maybe it could possibly be OK on an ultra-high end stereo, but definitely not on ear-buds.

If this gets fixed it’s 10 stars!

### 4/5 — AMAZING

*2017-06-14, version 1.2.0*

AMAZING! Really helps me study my aural skills for music education!

### 4/5 — Very good

*2015-10-15, version 1.1.1*

Once I learned how to create my own lessons, I was off and running. Only complaint is that it won't let me add more than 6 different intervals.

### 4/5 — Almost perfect!

*2015-07-15, version 1.1.1*

This app is a super helpful tool for ear training. A lot of these apps don't have enough extended chords, but this one is very comprehensive. Plus it's great that you can create your own exercises. I'm giving 4 stars because I have two complaints: 1) sometimes when intervals or chords are played harmonically in a low register, the sound quality is not good enough to be able to hear some of the tones, and 2) there are no chord progression exercises. Please add chord progressions!

### 4/5 — I LIKE THIS

*2015-05-17, version 1.1.1*

I just purchased this app. I think it's very helpful. I like the way it is designed because it's pleasant to see and use. It seems to have a lot of variation and I am looking forward to continuing to use it and hopefully to improve my recognition of intervals and more. As I use this app, I will be going back to this review to see if I have anything to add, including something that is on my mind. But before I release what is on my mind, I want to use the app more because I don't want to open my mouth with suggestions before I really get to know the app in full. So far I think this is a good buy. In fact, I can't wait to get back to using it right now. Thank you.

### 4/5 — Very helpful

Wish it were voice controlled so I could use in car.

### 5/5 — Great App

### 5/5 — An error?????

*2021-06-20, version 1.2.0*

Isn’t 1st inversion of diminished triad 1-b3-6 (instead of b6 as in the app)??????

### 5/5 — Great

*2018-04-26, version 1.2.0*

Exactly what I needed! The perfect aid to review my aural skills class

## Most praised reviews (7 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — So versatile and thorough!

*2018-02-21, version 1.2.0*

I’m really picky with music related things, and I searched and tried a lot of apps before sticking with this one.
The exercises do a fantastic job incrementing your abilities, and the custom exercise feature is exactly what I was hoping it would be, great for extra challenging rounds and working through personal areas of difficulty.
The range of problems is also amazing, leading you from intervals all the way through complex jazz chords!
This is the only app of its kind. Period. Nothing else I’ve tried compares.

### 5/5 — Great training

*2017-08-03, version 1.2.0*

very good app to help develop the ear.

### 5/5 — Sweet!

*2017-07-11, version 1.2.0*

This is THE ear training app!

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2017-05-26, version 1.1.1*

I am a self-taught musician and I just started ear training. I have downloaded several apps for this purpose and EarBeater is, by far, the best I have found for the iPhone. It is well worth the money!

### 5/5 — Very helpful

*2017-04-04, version 1.1.1*

I really like this app so far. I haven't had too much time to use it, but it's definitely worth paying for this. The exercises are very effective drills and are very practical to use. I like that the intervals/chords they give you to compare don't start on the same note--makes it more about the actual training than just comparing notes.

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2017-04-02, version 1.1.1*

Just used a few times but it seems pretty useful. I like it!

### 5/5 — Ears are Better!

*2016-12-03, version 1.1.1*

This is the best app I've found for ear training imo. Very simple and straightforward interface without having to go through alot of menus or anything. I almost exclusively use it for intervals and it does everything I need it to do
