One of the problems when having a scan in early pregnancy is that it is too early to see anything or if there is a pregnancy it may be too small to confirm a heartbeat. This APP uses prediction models based on real patient data to tell clinicians what the chances are of miscarriage if a small pregnancy is seen or the chance of the pregnancy being located in the right place if no pregnancy can be seen at all. In this way clinicians can inform women what is likely to happen in the future and so hopefully manage there anxiety level during what is often a worrying time between scans.
