Whenever I try to login to the app, I get the code and input the code, and get unexpected error. I see multiple reviews about this dating months...

Earnest is great however the app won’t log in anymore. Get the code to log in. Put it in and it shows “unexpected error occurred, try again later”. Defeats the purpose of having an app.

Keeps giving me a “unexpected error has occurred” message. 

I refinanced from Sallie Mae for a better interest rate, I’m starting to regret that decision. I should have stayed with Sallie Mae. 

I’m getting this loan paid off asap so I don’t have to deal with this anymore.

Don’t use this app. You can’t even log in. Just get an error on MFA. Terrible. May go back to Sofi. At least their app works.

Honestly the information presented is not clear and the app isn’t intuitive. Even basic information is hard to find, like your actual due date. You can’t see payment history until days later. The auto pay isn’t easy to set up, either. It’s one of the most important features and a “perk” of going with this company but it’s the worst out of any I’ve used. Why can’t I set up even, biweekly payments in a way that automatically balances the two out? Trying to talk to support and get this set up isn’t a whole lot easier. And no other authentication besides sending me an email EVERY SINGLE TIME I want to use the app? I understand wanting to be secure but this is a little crazy in the year 2026. Let me use Face ID, an authenticator, text me, theres a ton of options other than send an email. It’s an awful user experience. Summary: Hard to find my due date, set up automatic payments, even sign in… The app alone is frustrating enough to work with that I’m considering refinancing my loan at a slightly higher rate just to get a system that works better and is more user friendly.

I appreciate that there is two-factor authentication but it is very cumbersome to login without Face ID. Hopefully they will add it as part of a future release.

Constant screen flickers and crashes. I don’t know how this can happen with such a simple app, but they found a way to do it.
