Now I can get an estimate of my personal emissions and how they compare to global, country, and guideline levels. The app is worth it for the emissions tracker alone. But the core of the app is the 200 sustainable actions that you’re motivated to choose from and complete. Each action earns you a proportionate number of “Earth Points,” and it’s kind of ridiculous how much this gamification motivates me to always do more. Clearly some actions are not meant for everyone, like “Make Climate Your Career” is a little ridiculous to ask of someone. But you can easily hide these actions so they don’t bother you, and so you can focus on what’s achievable. Although it took me a moment to realize, I think one of the best parts of the app is that it has no ads, and no paywalls. Completely free. The process is super easy, and the little goals you can do on it are very helpful! I have had a Climate Positive business since 2002, with over 15,000 trees planted, & support in over 300 global projects, we have led the way in our industry. I work hard for my money, as does my wife, & my family. However, we increasingly loose business from our clients being late, or us not being able to attend, due to the organisation of people who don’t work, & believe that they are getting support from those who don’t already live more sustainable, by their actions, called ‘JUST STOP OIL’. What they do, is STOP us paying our rent on time, or our bills. They STOP us sleeping through worry. It affects our mental health, and STOP’s quality time with the children. It causes stupid arguments with your partner as a knock on effect, through stress. And you call this an effective strategy? Don’t you realise that your action infuriates the very people that you are supposedly trying to get to support you, not to mention the ones who already should? I cannot support any app that supports Extinction Rebellion, or Just Stop Oil, which is nothing short of a terrorist organisation. Thats the gist of the app. You earn points for downgrading your life to a stone age level. Forget about new technologies that will help solve the problem. Just eat less meat.
