It sure most of us would find a daily use for this app. Saying that, I spent twenty minutes just scrolling through the screens and selecting the individual satellites. Beautiful and deceptively entertaining. Not especially useful every day, but definitely fun to play with. The app is pretty self-explanatory (not sure why someone was confused in their review about the satellites orbiting the planet...), and pretty cool to show off. You can watch the earth in real time, choosing any area to look at, or you can choose the animated dataset wherein you get a glimpse of each day of the last week or so. I find it very useful as a visual to show people the current CO2 atmospheric data when engaging with people about the dangers we face do to a lack of coverage by the media. NASA does incredible things on a shoestring budget! Earth now gives the public a direct link to our satellites most up to date data of earth’s natural systems.
