### 2/5 — Keeps crashing and no notifications

*2022-03-18, version 2.71*

I’m leaving as keeps crashing. No notifications if you don’t pay, but now can’t even open to see earthquakes I’ve read about elsewhere!

### 2/5 — App doesn’t work anymore

*2022-01-23, version 2.71*

When you open it a message pops up saying “ERROR there might be something wrong” and nothing else appears after that, in any page.

### 4/5 — Error

*2021-08-19, version 2.6.2*

I keep getting a “there might be something wrong” error when first starting app on iPhone.

### 4/5 — Needs updating

*2021-05-12, version 2.6.2*

Normally I like this app but now that the iPhone 12 Pro Max has come out and so has 5G this thing freaks out. It flashes and won’t stop “retrieving Earthquakes”. I spent $ for the full version so please update it. I live on a fault line so I’m always keeping tabs on what’s going on under our feet. Thanks!

### 2/5 — Paid version not worth it

*2021-04-05, version 2.6.2*

This app doesn’t offer anything more than the free app I have, which allows you to sort your list by distance from your location. I was hoping to have more insight to activity in my area. This does not have that. Save your money and buy yourself a latté.

### 3/5 — Intermittent service

*2021-02-08, version 2.6.2*

Whenever I click on a notification it takes me to the app but it crashes after a few seconds. In other times, it takes half a minute or so and eventually errors out saying it could not retrieve the data. You’d have to kill the app then restart it and even then the chances of it successfully retrieving the app are 50-50. I want this app to succeed which is why I’m subscribed for a full 12 months and providing this feedback. Let me know what info I can provide to help troubleshoot these errors.

### 3/5 — Don’t get notifications

*2020-12-22, version 2.6.2*

I used to get notifications of current earthquakes but I don’t get them anymore. I can look them up and see them if I hear that there’s been one.

### 3/5 — The app is good, but..

*2020-04-18, version 2.6.2*

I like this app however it glitches so much on the home screen where it shows recent quakes. When applying search filters it glitches and doesn’t allow you to save.

### 4/5 — Change the colors!

*2020-04-09, version 2.6.2*

Hey Earthquick! The orange/red colors you use in the app are too close together and you can’t tell them apart on the map. Consider changing the colors so we can discern the magnitude. Once you do, I’ll upgrade my review. Thanks!!

### 4/5 — How there app works and improvements

*2020-04-05, version 2.6.2*

Great app needs but it needs to get a little faster! Other apps that are not is good but speed and more info. Otherwise hands down best app! Good job

### 3/5 — Needs new updates

*2019-11-29, version 2.6.2*

This app will not work on IPhone 11. It just keeps downloading data and blew through our data limit twice before my wife knew what was happening. It works great on my iPhone 7. Wife loves the notifications and distance information. The rating is the combination of lPhone11 and 7. IPHONE 7 would be 5 stars by it self.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Lack of the list that I used to have it is gone

*2024-07-24*

I no longer get my list of earthquakes. It’s always blank and never used to be. What’s going on. I want my money back if they can’t fix this I’ve had this app for a very long time and this recently I don’t know what you guys did my phones the samebut I’m not getting my benefits please fix soon I rated this for the longest time at five now it’s one thank you for your prompt effort to fix this issue

### 1/5 — Dead App, don’t bother

*2023-05-15*

Guessing support and operations have shut since the app hasn’t worked in well over a month or two. Kept holding out hope it would come back and it was a temporary glitch but that is not how it’s played out. Came on here to see one last time if there was anything new posted about the issues before deleting… and delete.

### 1/5 — Another garbage app

*2023-01-29*

Another monthly subscription. Immediately uninstalled. I would have gladly purchased for a few bucks but I’m not adding another subscription in addition to Netflix Prime Spotify Cable TV Internet Crave… I’d give zero stars if possible.

### 1/5 — Earthquakes are everywhere!

*2022-11-17, version 2.71*

Earthquakes are happening all over the world, 24-7. Some are big, some are small. Some occur often in some places, others not so much. But to find out if there is one near you, you have to pay, forever.

### 1/5 — Useless for Earthquake Updates

*2020-05-15, version 2.6.2*

Got this app, since I live in an earthquake prone area of California. We finally get our first big earthquake in my area and not only does the app not register it, but it would only give me a loading error in the valuable minutes/hours after the earthquake hit. If this app can’t provide real time up to the minute alerts and shuts down as soon as a bigger earthquake happens in your area, then it’s pretty much useless for anything but reviewing earthquake info, days after the earthquake.

### 1/5 — Great graphics... but.

*2020-05-06, version 2.6.2*

Love the graphics but information sometimes arrives late or not at all. Paid the subscription to get region specific but kept getting alerts from other countries. My settings kept changing. Took several days to get an email response. I did a side by side comparison with my other go to earthquake app for Japan which was starting to act up. Erased and reloaded my other app and it started to work properly again. We had two earthquakes in two days. First earthquake, Earthquick was 30 minutes late, no sound alert, other app gave a sound alert 30 seconds before quake started. Second quake, Earthquick sent a notice the next day, other app gave a sound alert 10 seconds before quake started. Sent three emails to try and get some answers and got a reply for one email several days later, still haven’t received answers for my other two emails, been almost a week. Nice graphics but I will not use because it is not a reliable emergency source.

### 1/5 — Pay for Early Warnings?

*2020-01-25, version 2.6.2*

Ridiculous claim and by far the biggest load of crap. Have we strayed so far from humanity as to SAY such and SELL such nonsence? First off, there is no such thing as an esrly warning for earthquakes. Don’t be fooled. Second, if such existed, the government would forbid any such monopoly to anyone other than itself in providing such notification enmass.

This app is a sham. DO NOT subscribe to this.

### 1/5 — Great potential, horribly buggy

*2020-01-13, version 2.6.2*

I really wish this app worked. I love the map and the updates of the most recent quakes, but all it does is try to “receive earthquakes.” If I go through too many flash cards, an error message pops up and freezes the app until I clear it out. It has potential but there are a lot of technical issues.

### 1/5 — Endless earthquake retrieving process

*2019-10-10, version 2.6.2*

The app is very well designed to trigger epilepsy with the endless flashing when you first open the app. It just keeps flashing the screen bright without a rhythm. Literally just random flashes for more than minute, like it is designed to trigger epilepsy episodes on purpose. And funny enough, it crashes conveniently after you have successfully achieved your seizure, so you don’t need to worry about quitting the app. I can provide screen recording if the developers would like it.

### 1/5 — Used to Work, Now Doesn’t

*2019-08-03, version 2.6.2*

Got iPhone XS. Worked great for two weeks, now it seems to have a glitch. Tried to download EQs, flashes a few times, then shuts down. Deleted and reloaded. No good.

Deleted and reloaded again after developer said that bugs were fixed. Still not working properly. Cannot change magnitude preference; just defaults back to > 2. Still very buggy.

Deleting now for good.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — A Must-Have for We Plate-Edgers

*2024-10-06*

The suspense here on the western edge of North America is allayed somewhat by monitoring the pressing Pacific Plate movements.

### 5/5 — Was awesome but not loading anything

*2024-07-09*

Very cool app but over the last 2 days has not been any data. Updated to latest version but still nothing. Odd.

### 5/5 — Stopped Working

*2024-03-13*

Satisfied…until recently when it stopped working.

### 5/5 — An app you should not be without.

*2022-09-19, version 2.71*

I live in California earthquake country and you should not be without this app.

### 5/5 — Stopped working mysteriously

*2021-08-04*

Good app. But could be better. Recently it just stopped working and no matter what I do, it doesn’t work anymore

### 5/5 — Fascinating

*2020-05-29*

I live in central Canada but am noisy of te world when I found this and learn just how acutely it worked I was blown away and still am every time when the 6.0 and higher are caught on the map I’ll show my co workers all the time when real bad ones hit out side of work folks always know my know by the consistent notifications of weather and emergency alerts from coast to coast and over the great oceans love the app got a new phone so had to get it again keep up the neat work and stay safe folks as we can see the world is not so stable under foot all time

### 5/5 — Fantastic app

*2020-02-03*

This is a fantastic app for keeping up with earthquake activity all around the world!! I highly recommend this app!!!!

### 5/5 — Review

*2020-01-16, version 2.6.2*

Outstanding app, provides relevant information quickly with ease of use

### 5/5 — Upgrade not working.

*2019-07-19, version 2.6.2*

Loved Earthquick before the new release. Now it just says updating earthquakes continually then it blacks out. Can you please fix this as It was sooo insightful? Thank you for making it.

### 5/5 — Not a fake app!

*2019-07-16, version 2.6.1*

This app lists EQ that other apps miss! Better than USGS website - which 99% of the time doesn’t list all the US EQ’s - particularly Oregon, WA state and Yellowstone. Thank you! Most Americans would rather know what’s occurring on our beautiful planet rather than be caught completely off guard and unprepared.
