As Americans, we’re in a tight spot. Traditional journalism is an essential service that helps us determine our civic duty and share a common understanding of our communities. This app has many rough edges. But I am willing to look past these flaws, and support my local newspaper. It holds elected officials accountable for their actions, and exposes community members who transgress accepted standards of behavior up to public scrutiny.
