### 3/5 — Check this

*2018-11-22*

I love the app but 3stars because you guys are missing a timer and if you could throw in a graph to see the results this app would be fire please add the timer tho it’s important

### 4/5 — Best weight tracking app yet

*2018-08-30*

I really enjoy using this app so far. It has a simple interface and does what I need it to do. It took time for me to log all my workouts but it was worth it. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the app does tend to crash a lot. It’s not really a huge problem. I just open it back up and my data is saved. It’s just a little annoyance.

### 4/5 — Simple yet effective

*2018-07-06, version 2.3*

I can’t be doing with all the fancy pants stuff most gym logs give you, I want a simple af interface to track my lifts, nothing complex. This does the trick. It’s simple and clean, quick to use.

2 things I would like though -

1) a simple progress graph for each exercise.
2) ability to change the date you’re logging for.

### 2/5 — Update

*2018-03-28, version 2.3*

Needs an update, it crashes

### 4/5 — Love the app but could be improved

*2017-11-07, version 2.3*

Love the app and use it daily.
How about letting you share a workout with a buddy who you want to train with? That way only one of you has to go through the laborious task of adding each exercise.

### 4/5 — Needs default weight

*2017-02-01, version 2.3*

Only thing missing would be an option to set default weight type, otherwise perfect.

### 4/5 — Good app

*2016-12-06, version 2.3*

I like the app very much and use it everyday! Only thing that would make it better is if you could organize it by the daily activity and do print outs. For example, search the app by date and it would bring up everything you entered that day.

### 4/5 — Simple to use

*2016-10-18*

I like that the app is uncluttered and easy to use--which means I actually use it. It tracks everything I want to track and does not need a bunch of other functionality. Perfect as a substitute for notebook to log your various workouts. Wouldn't want to add complexity, but would love for it to: 1) Track or highlight PRs so you don't have to search through each workout to find them, 2) Show the note on summary view. There is no way of knowing there is a note attached to a workout unless you drill down, 3) Have the ability to export, sync, and print the log to PC/Mac.

### 4/5 — Just what I was looking for!

*2016-08-25*

I was looking for a simple, functional app where I could log my run times/stats (distance/time, calories burned, etc) as well as track weight training stats (weight, sets, reps, etc). After using the app for a while I do think there are a few functions or features it would be nice if this app had, such as some kind of graphing function which would allow you to graph all data points from a particular category or sub category against time to create a visual progress report. It would also be nice if the app had a section, were the user could track one or more person's body weight and measurements (bust/chest, waist, hip, etc). Other than possibly upgrading the app's appearance and adding a few more features I chose this app because it had the basic functions I wanted without a ton of extra features I won't use. Developers did a great job creating such a simplistic gym companion App.

### 2/5 — Good once you spend the time to set up

*2016-03-03, version 2.3*

This took ages to set up and get right but once I did it was useful. I did find it to take a little bit of time to enter data as your going and pen and paper seems easier. If this had more things such as being able to see progression in say charts or even just average improvements would be worth it but honestly I went back to pen and paper after about a month

### 4/5 — Pretty good

*2015-10-25, version 2.3*

Simple to use, but would like to able to manually add the date of a workout rather than it be automatic on the day I enter the data.

### 2/5 — Ok

*2015-08-26, version 2.3*

Would be great app if u could change the date on the workouts as I'm wanting to input my data but it says it was all from today. Shame

### 4/5 — Simple and good

*2015-04-27, version 2.2*

I like it, I use it because it's simple and works and doesn't make me do weird stuff.

But.....I wish there was a notification that told you when your previous exercise log had a note in it. I switch up my routine a lot and I take a lot of notes, and it would be nice to see when I recorded a note.

Also, 6 and 6 plus optimization. Watch optimization but no 6 plus?

Again, I use it because it's simple and doesn't make me do weird stuff, but a few more features would be nice.

### 4/5 — Great app but one little thing

*2015-03-25, version 2.0*

I love the app but there's only one thing I don't like which is I went gym yesterday for example and wanted to write everything up today however I cannot change the date of the session any chance you can fix this?

### 5/5 — Love the app

*2014-09-30, version 2.0*

Simple and easy to use not complicated like the others simplicity is the king

### 5/5 — Brill

*2014-09-27, version 2.0*

If you're after a genuinely free app that does the basic workout log this is for you. You can build, customise and create your own routines and exercises.

### 5/5 — Good app

*2014-06-21, version 2.0*

I usually forgot how much I lifted before so this app lets me track my progression. Let the gains begin!!!!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Crash!

*2019-02-26*

Used this app for a few years with no problem. Stupid me updated to the newest version and now it crashes 30-40 times in one workout!

### 1/5 — Stuck in 2011

*2015-01-05*

This app first came out back in 2011. Back then, there were only 1 or 2 "blank slate" type gym log apps available, and this one was one of them. For what was available at the time, this app was decent, but it lacked features.

We are now in 2015, and this app remains the same. Other than minor compatibility updates, nothing has been done to it.

Today, there are dozens of other similar apps that are light years ahead of it. Too bad cause this app was on the right track.

### 1/5 — Interface is terrible. Unusable IMO.

*2014-07-18, version 2.0*

Interface is terrible. Unusable IMO. Deleting forever.

### 1/5 — Rubbish

*2013-01-28, version 1.7*

This app rubbish compare to other similar apps.

### 1/5 — No iPhone 5 Support?

*2012-11-25, version 1.7*

Disappointing to find a decent app with no iPhone 5 screen support!

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2012-06-02, version 1.7*

I can do this on paper just as easy

### 1/5 — Phishing Scam

*2012-04-22, version 1.7*

This app delivered a phishing scam to my phone and screwed my apple id. Who'd have thought that even in the proprietary app store you'd be at risk. Avoid this like the plague.

### 1/5 — Crap

*2012-01-30, version 1.7*

You could use the notes app

### 1/5 — Loved it but then you added ads

*2011-10-25, version 1.2*

I love the ease of use of this app. But after downloading the latest software upgrade it now has ads! Frustrating the last thing I want when I'm working out is the intrusion of commercial messages.

### 1/5 — Just another note paid

*2011-09-01, version 1.1*

This was a total disappointment. I expected to see a page like the example. All I got was a lined sheet to type on. Can do that on the note pad that comes with the iPad2. Whiny is what I already do.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Please keep this app going - it’s the best app for tracking Total Gym workouts!

*2021-06-13*

Had to replace my EGL Premium app b/c of an iOS update. I hope it’s the same, as it’s the best app I’ve found for tracking Total Gym workouts: the flexibility of data entry accommodates levels as easily as poundage. Please keep this app going, and consider updating EGL Premium if it’s advantageous.

### 5/5 — Simple and works!

*2019-05-05*

Been using this for almost 10 years, it works great. My only concern is Apple updated everyone to iOS 11 awhile ago and any app not ready for iOS 11 was removed from the App Store. So I hate to lose my log of years of data because Apple might update again and the developer not update some app but that could happen with any app really.

### 5/5 — Simple and just works

*2017-06-12*

I was debating fitlist and strong. Read a post online about this being super simple and gave it a shot. It's perfect for what it is... An easy to use log app for your workouts. Those other apps were fine, but they gave me a bunch of stuff that I just did not need. This is very customizable because you actually put your exercise names in instead of trying to find them on lists. Took less time. It is definitely just as quick to log between sets too. If you need 1 rep max estimates and warm up calculators with charts, this isn't for you. But if you want to track the weight you've been lifting to make sure you are getting stronger, this works just as good for free.

### 5/5 — Simple and Useful

*2017-04-01*

Love the simplicity of this log. Just write the routing and add the weight/reps. No bs like some of the other apps.

### 5/5 — Simple yet perfect

*2016-03-01, version 2.3*

I have been using this app for over a year and it's great. Very easy and simple design. Log everything you do at the gym and look back/compare over time.

Three items that would improve the app would be:

1 - ability to back-up in icloud, or onto the developers servers, as I have a fear of accidentally deleting data from the app and losing part or all of my progress.

2 - ability to export data in some way.

3 - ability to change the date as you can only time stamp on the same day/time.

These have not yet been an issue for me and I would happily 5 star the app and recommend for people to download/purchase.

### 5/5 — Regular Gym Use

*2015-08-12, version 2.3*

This app is amazing, it's so easy to use and has everything you need to help you in the gym, have been using it now every time I goto the gym for the last couple of years now. Can't fault it.

### 5/5 — Nutnut

*2015-05-30, version 2.3*

Nice app

### 5/5 — Worth every penny

*2015-01-28, version 2.0*

Basic gym log. If you already know what you're doing and just need to log it. This is perfect for you.

It's a diary/notepad/list made for the gym.

With the dev would give the option to set lbs as a default

### 5/5 — Good basic app

*2015-01-10, version 2.0*

Just what I was looking for. If you want a basic app for logging your workouts without all the extras that can sometimes be nothing more than a distraction....this may be your app. No complaints.

### 5/5 — Top app

*2014-12-12, version 2.0*

This app is awesome! It has everything you need to log all your workout needs! Have downloaded it to every iphone I've ever had!
