I can’t believe it. The app was bad enough not recognising so many texts, now I can’t access the ones I’d manually inputted myself. ### 1/5 — DO NOT USE *2021-12-08* This app consistently disappoints. The barcode scanner rarely works and often pulls up a list of references that do not relate to the actual publication that I was researching. I downloaded in order to help streamline my process during research, yet it consistently caused me to spend more time than necessary trying to find the correct reference. This was sadly a waste. ### 1/5 — Useless *2021-12-07, version 1.0.13* Can’t even put a hyphen so you can’t enter page numbers for journals. I appreciate the dev has now responded but unfortunately the standard apple keyboard is not used for the pages section, it’s the numbers only keyboard hence not being able to put a hyphen ### 1/5 — Disappointed *2021-11-27, version 1.0.13* If I had the chance to give this app a minus star then I would. Such a waste of time!! It asked to create an email and password then asking to pay how strange. Why don’t you ask to subscribe to your app first then personal data second? That would give people a choice rather to use your app or find something else where. This is scamming to me. ### 1/5 — Gutted *2021-11-14, version 1.0.13* I will be canceling my paid version as it just doesn’t stand up to what is needed. I might as well just do it myself. I’ve used other apps that are not available anymore that respond to text predicting what your citing. This had some much potential and with amazingly little available could be a massive market game changer! Also doesn’t have my institution and I would suggest it should have every Uk university registered. ### 1/5 — Disappointing *2021-10-12, version 1.0.13* I really wanted to like this app - so much so, I was willing to subscribe. But it just doesn’t work. The barcode scanner would not recognise any books, and inputting the books manually felt cumbersome. Great idea, but not fully functioning yet. ### 1/5 — Says free, is not! *2021-03-02, version 1.0.9* Not impressed ### 1/5 — Not Useful. *2021-03-02* Downloaded because I thought a citation generator that pulls up automatic citations when you scan a book’s barcode was brilliant. Too bad it worked less than a third of the time. On top of that, some of the apps automatic citations came out plane wrong, so I had to re-enter everything manually anyway. I also coundn’t find anyway to export my citations once I was finished, leading me to wonder what’s the point of charging people. monthly fee for a citation generator when they have to type out all the citations by hand at the end anyways? Wish I had read the reviews before I downloaded, but was in a hurry to get a project done. Until the developers seriously revamp this app, I don’t recommend it. **Developer response:** Hi, I’m sorry you are having problems with the app. The references are generated accurately depending on which style you choose, maybe you chose the wrong one ? Also if you had watched the tutorial you would have seen how to export your references - swipe left on your project name to show sharing options. If you had emailed me using the in app support button, I could have helped. ### 1/5 — Robbery *2020-11-22* It asks for a monthly subscription. I said yes since I’m working on a bunch of school. Now it crashes upon opening. Do not download this trash. **Developer response:** Hi, I'm sorry you are having issues. I have checked the apps crash analytics and it shows there has not been any user crashes within the last few weeks. It didn’t work kept sending me the same password which wouldn’t let me in. Very frustrated no way of fixing the problem. I type in the ISBN number and it does recognise the book title and edition, but doesn’t state the publisher or the year, so what’s the point? ### 1/5 — Not what I get with many other apps. *2022-07-27, version 1.0.16* Sad they ask you to open an account before even testing the app in a free mode, their system gets your email, passcode and later aim to charge you. No testing option before getting your info then. Consent to registration process should be asked before and not after even downloading.
