I contacted support and we realized that I had my microphone off and cellular data was also turned off. Support helped me fix it. It has given her such confident in her story telling and makes it so much easier for me to read after she has finished. We have all noticed the improvement! I would usually have to spell check through the dictionary app or even google but with this app all I have to do is say the word! And the amazing thing is it recognizes clearly what I say (better than Siri) and spells the word in a second or two. It even hears me well even with the television playing in the background. She loves this app. It saves me from having to tell her how to spell every word when she is writing a story. One comment though , it doesn't always catch word usage... Yes young students everywhere are starting to enjoy the benefits of self-directed learning by not having to wait for help from parents or teachers. A tip: for homophones, i.e. there, their or they’re, use context to determine the correct spelling of a word. Every time I speak into the microphone I get a “try again” message. She's used to using Learning Ally at school. We are following the instructions to no avail. We cannot record. I'm hoping you can help me troubleshoot the problem. I love the different setting I can use including different colour’s and lines and being able to change the font I wish it had an option for sentences with capitol letters and full stops for bigger pieces of work all in all a great tool to use to get kids writing more ### 4/5 — Very useful *2019-06-05* As a dyslexic working in Education Support I have recently downloaded this app and am loving it. It is quick and easy for me to check spelling of a word & can show the children the correct spelling in fonts they are familiar with.
