### 3/5 — Easy to use but

*2025-05-27, version 3.0*

I can’t seem to delete custom made presets. I don’t want 100 presets clogging up my preset menu. How do I get rid of them?

### 3/5 — Graph thumbs down

*2023-04-09, version 3.0*

It's been over a year since last update. Obviously the won't be another. Find a different temp probe that works with a good app..Purchased this to monitor food and grill temp. Y-axis doesn't change so trend is useless for temp over approx 250! PLEASE FIX Y AXIS UPDATE: VERSION 3 DEVELOPER: Please just read REVIEWS and redesign graph!

### 4/5 — Suggestion

*2023-03-13, version 3.0*

I really like the functionality of the thermometer and the app, but my phone disconnects when it is out of range. If you added Apple Watch support, I could leave my phone within range, and then when an alarm is sounded it could alert me on my watch over WiFi.

### 2/5 — App needs work

*2023-02-24, version 3.0*

A couple of flaws I noticed right away.. the app does not allow push notifications in its current state on IOS. In phone settings, the push notification option is not there. Also, Writing a message for timers is white on white. When the timer goes off (silent in app only) the message appears but you cannot see it at the time of writing.

### 3/5 — Needs a Watch App

*2022-10-09, version 3.0*

Terrific app for the smoker-lets one cook to the correct temperature, not by time.

But they need a Watch app to complement the iPhone app! I would revise rating to 5 stars if they did.

### 4/5 — Close to Perfect

*2022-10-02, version 3.0*

It’s fine, does what it says will do…my only issue (it’s very annoying) is that it doesn’t keep the temperature history. It’s a joke how bad it is, constantly resetting. The functionality is completely worthless since they don’t have the technology to measure the temp without you being in the app.

### 2/5 — Needs ability to add devices

*2022-07-22, version 3.0*

While the ability to monitor as many as 6 probes connected to the same device is nice, it would be just as nice to be able to add a second device. I might be cooking something in the oven in the kitchen while grilling steaks outside. For this I need two devices. It would be nice to have them all on one app. So I had to download your clone app, iEasyBBQ, and put my device on that one.

### 1/5 — Calibration

*2022-06-05, version 3.0*

Initially the app and device were fine but soon the temperature readings became erratic and clearly wrong. No apparent way to calibrate the probes.

Poor product!

### 3/5 — Fair

*2022-04-20, version 3.0*

I like the app but the bluetooth link is unsatisfactory.
Unable to monitor temps from a distance.

### 4/5 — Very nice app, needs mods to work on iphone 12 mini

*2022-02-16, version 3.0*

The app works manificiently on iphone xr

Unfortunately on iphone 12 mini there is no acces to temperature curves

### 1/5 — Useless

*2022-01-29, version 3.0*

Brand new Soraken wireless thermometer. The alarms will not play through the phone. I will be returning this as that’s the whole reason why I got this thermometer. What an utter disappointment.

### 1/5 — Kind of pointless if notifications don’t work..

*2022-01-15, version 3.0*

Not sure if it is because recent IOS versions but there’s no option to allow notifications from your device settings, so what happens is the physical devices alarm will trigger, and the same in the app itself, but you won’t get any notifications on your actual phone which kind of makes the whole thing pointless.

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2022-01-08, version 3.0*

The device and its app are garbage; disconnected every 30 sec

### 3/5 — Watch

*2021-12-25, version 3.0*

Would be nice if the Apple Watch connected for alerts

### 1/5 — Disappointing

*2021-11-25, version 3.0*

Great hardware but this app is a dumpster fire. It’s good for instantaneous checks but effectively non-functional for almost all features. Notifications don’t work, data logging is super buggy, etc. I wish I’d have paid more for a system with a better app, I can see where the cost savings corners were cut.

### 2/5 — Doesn’t run on cellular data

*2021-10-10, version 3.0*

This app runs perfectly when at home on internet, but if you go out of range, it does not run on your cellular data on iPhone. Running using cellular is not a setting option n mobile devices. So if you go for a walk or quick car hop, it disconnects.

### 3/5 — Just fix it

*2021-09-06, version 3.0*

C'mon man. You've got a great probe tool. Easy to follow and use App. Modern day outside cooking. You're there. BUT, It's like you quit before finishing the app. Everybody has commented on it. 1) keep the temp rise history until the cook is complete. 2) fix the scaling so it's more visually useful. 3) add smart watch app so you can see the temp without carrying the phone. Dude, increase sales and brag to your friends how you've got the best in class probes and app in the world. Price is right to own the market. Get bought by Traeger. Go buy a ranch in Hawaii. But first, finish the dang app! And really, fixing just number 1 would make a lot of people happy. Fix all three, start planning retirement.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Does not work at all.

*2026-07-21, version 3.0*

If I could I would give it 0 stars because it doesn’t work, it doesn’t read the temp right at all, then sometimes doesn’t even read the temp, I threw the stupid thing against the wall and haven’t felt better since if I could go back I would set it on fire then put it out with water just to burn it again.

### 1/5 — No longer connects to iPhone

*2026-06-07, version 3.0*

No matter what I tried can’t get it to connect to my iPhone, even if I’m right next to it

### 1/5 — Alarm no longer triggers on phone

*2025-04-04, version 3.0*

No longer triggers an alarm or notification. Also doesn’t show current temp on dashboard. Shows it’s connected via Settings but only shows presets

### 1/5 — No longer triggers alarm on the phone.

*2025-03-07, version 3.0*

Smoker failed but the alarm on my phone doesn’t go off anymore.

### 1/5 — It used to work

*2025-02-15, version 3.0*

If I’d written this when I first got the device I would have recommended it. The app no longer works. Bluetooth won’t link. I deleted and reloaded the app and now it doesn’t know Bluetooth is on an won’t move off the launch page. Save your money

### 1/5 — Graph function useless

*2024-05-19, version 3.0*

The memory/graph function is completely useless. The app resets randomly, even when your phone is on, awake, and connected to the thermometer, meaning you randomly lose everything - data, history, graphs, just gone. Don’t recommend this app at all.

Just ordered a new set of probes from a different company. Can’t wait to delete this app and throw away the thermometer probes.

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2024-04-28, version 3.0*

App worked fine until last update, now it no longer works

### 1/5 — Temperature graph keeps getting cleared!

*2023-05-26, version 3.0*

This app has 1 major flaw. Anytime the thermometer looses Bluetooth connection from your phone and then reconnects, the temp graphs loose their data. So if you’ve been tracking progress on a 5 hour cook and step out of Bluetooth range for 1 second then you loose all your temp history. Super annoying and unnecessary! Just give a way to manually clear temp graphs and stop clearing them automatically when the app reconnects to the thermometer. How hard is that?

### 1/5 — No compatible with latest update from Apple

*2023-03-19, version 3.0*

Can’t use it

### 1/5 — Not reliable

*2023-02-19, version 3.0*

It will happily let something overcook 5 or 10 gegrees without the app alarming. But then you go take your item off the grill and it alarms over and over and over after the probe is removed from the meat. Basically a useless monitoring tool.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Simple to use

*2025-07-04, version 3.0*

Simple to use, up to six probes can be used at what time. App give you a range of preset temperature definitions, depending on what you are cooking. Have not had any issues whatsoever in the last three years.

### 5/5 — It does what it says, and we've experienced flawless performance.

*2024-08-31, version 3.0*

It has met our expectations, and we are happy with it. This device and app are not data-supported devices by your phone provider carrier's signal to each other but by the strength of their and your device's connection to your Wi-Fi network; we've experienced no glitches and flawless use.

We have used this for eighteen months, about two to four times per month, to smoke briskets and barbeque steaks.

If your Wi-Fi signal is spotty, the device the probes attach to at the cooker still has an audible alarm. We can hear the alarm through insulated vinyl windows and the alert on the phone.

### 5/5 — Really great thermometer

*2024-05-26, version 3.0*

I have had this thermometer for a while now and love it! I received 6 probes with it but haven’t used more than 2 at a time. Works great smoking two different meats on the Traeger or pork roast in the oven. The preset temps are great and easy to change. Temp has been right on. No problems with connection. Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2021-03-07, version 1.9.5*

The app is great! Simple to use and simple layout design. What I am hoping for next in an update is really for this to be able to display on my Apple Watch. Simple display options would be great...have it cycle thru the probes with color designation or even have option to show 3 at a time on the watch then swipe left to see the remaining 3.

### 5/5 — Worked just as advertised!

*2021-01-15, version 1.9.5*

I bought the wireless thermometer through Amazon as a Christmas present for my brother-in-law. Full disclosure: I fully expected to receive benefits in the form of perfectly prepared grilled food!

The instructions said to download the EasyBBQ app from the App Store - I nearly returned the thermometer after I read the horrible reviews. Don't believe them.

The thermometer operated exactly as promised, the wireless connection was still strong 150 feet away through several walls. It did not lose the connection, it did not stop logging.

The end result on the first try was a _perfectly_ cooked steak. The thermometer made achieving that result easy. We're looking forward to many more perfectly cooked meals!

### 5/5 — Makes smoking/cooking easy!

*2020-10-04, version 1.9.5*

There’s quite a bit of bad reviews but I have had nothing but great luck with the device and iPhone app.

I’m always somewhat near my smoker or because of other reviews I’ll leave my phone within distance. I love the charts which help me predict when I need to act on the food and provide my wife an estimate for other side dishes she’s working on. The presets are helpful and custom ones are even more awesome.

My only requests for future updates are:
1. Retain history if a connection is lost
2. Add Apple Watch feature

I would pay for a pro version that includes those features.

Thanks for the great app to make smoking/cooking so much more convenient!!!!

### 5/5 — Fantastic app and temperature probe.

*2020-08-12*

I purchase one of these over a year ago. I have 4 probes. The device connects to my phone flawlessly. The probes are easy to identify and manage. I liked this system so much, I just ordered another system with 2 extra probes for my Yacht. The interface is easy to use and has an intuitive set up. With 6 separately programed probes, cooking multiple dinners to individual liking is easy.

### 5/5 — Works great!

*2020-01-02, version 1.7.5*

Received as a gift and used for the first time today. Put one sensor in a rib roast and another in some potatoes. Both worked great with no issues. Pairing was very simple, using the thermometer was also simple.

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2019-02-10, version 1.7.5*

Works perfect

### 5/5 — Perfect for my needs!!

*2018-12-24, version 1.7.5*

Great price, great piece of equipment and so easy to use!
