### 2/5 — Cloud Sever Setup

*2026-08-13, version 12.8*

The fact that this software can only be used on IOS or Microsoft but not be able to share the same cloud server is shocking. If your company use Apple AND Microsoft then unfortunately you will have choose one and stick with it because there is no way for an Apple user and a Microsoft user to share the same cloud server. Basically this means that you will only be able work remotely between each other if you all have the same ecosystem. I thought it would be simply enough to buy a cloud server and everyone in a company be able to access it regardless of what ecosystem they are using it’s still the same bloody cloud server is it not!? We bought this software before we knew about this problem and coincidentally it’s not mentioned AT ALL on the Tysoft website he just expects you know everything 🙄🤬

### 2/5 — Customer support?!?

*2024-01-12, version 12.0*

Here we go again; the software is great, but when you’ve got an issue nobody answers the phone or emails.

I’ve got 7 licences; just paid to renew 4 that were due and they’ve not actioned it. We’ve got large EICRs starting Monday and no bloody software.

Looking for alternatives.

### 1/5 — Terrible customer service

*2023-04-05, version 12.0*

The software is generally good and very easy to use. However we have had a couple issues and when we have called to resolve the issue the guy on the phone is very rude and even hung up on me as I was explaining the issue, he then refused to answer the phone and still has not resolved the issue or offered any insight.

### 1/5 — Customer. Support

*2023-01-21, version 11.9*

Just like taking money, arrogant does not reply to emails on support spent lots of money to add on additional licenses , I keep getting another licence instead tried different emails to sync the licence . Spent a fortune . The package they produce is fantastic . But the company as support are crap. Once existing licence expires I shall not return back. Very frustrating spoke to a person before Xmas the person on the other end wasn’t interested. Full of himself and just not interested . Jumped up ………

Avoid

### 1/5 — Review

*2022-09-13, version 11.8*

Great software which I’ve used for over 10 years but unfortunately the customer service is really bad and lets them down. I very rarely give bad reviews but their attitude towards customers really needs to change.

### 2/5 — Important bits missing

*2020-11-25, version 10.8*

A lot of important bits missing that should be on a certificate such as minor works there is nowhere to put details of wiring system used to modify circuit

### 2/5 — Not bad!

*2020-11-07, version 10.7*

Its ok but has bugs and when contact is made with support they ask for a video of the problem!! Eh i pay a subscription for to to update and produce a working software for me!!

### 1/5 — Poor

*2020-09-21, version 10.5*

Twice the app has crashed on the iPad whilst filling out the circuit chart. When reopened all the circuit chart info disappeared

### 1/5 — Still horrid on IOS

*2020-09-20, version 10.5*

Downloaded latest version and they still haven’t fixed its main fundamental flaws, it takes forever to fill in details.....you just seem to keep going backwards and forwards continually. Love the Windows version of EasyCert, fluid, intuitive to use and comes with all the whistles & bells you could ask for, so I assume somebody at Tysoft must know what they’re doing? So how can they get the IOS version badly wrong! Please, please, please Tysoft, speak to your customers or at least give the option to fill the cert in the same way as the PC version. As a firm we complete 10000 plus tests a year, most of the electricians use paper and fill-in on a laptop later which totally defeats the object of paying for the mobile package.

### 1/5 — Terrible Customer Service

*2020-01-21, version 10.2*

I just wanted to reactivate my software after paying for the yearly renewal but get cross examined by email even though it would be very simple to let me activate my software on another computer.

I’m still waiting and I only use the software once in a while.

After paying a lot of money for Easy cert and EasyPAT pro over 2 years ago I am very unhappy with the customer service of this company.

### 2/5 — A shame the developer hasn’t got to grips with 18th edition

*2019-05-31, version 9.2*

Like most of the software developers who write electrical certification software, they don’t fully understand the electrical regs, or that the person asking them what to develop doesn’t understand the regs.

Firstly, we are now seeing more and more use of equipment that can’t have the PME (TN-C-S) exported whereby a TT is required; often resulting in an installation that has two earthing arrangements, possibly with those arrangements split on a single remote circuit. But as usual, these dual details cannot be included on an electronic certificate under earthing arrangements!!

Secondly, a better understanding of chapter 41 and 643.8 would reveal that a circuit protected by an RCBO can have a Zs higher than that for a circuit without one. Unfortunately the software doesn’t recognise this and highlights the information in red to indicate a non-compliance.

On. A positive note, the box certificate layout is far superior to the database entry system many other software designers use

### 1/5 — New DB layout is time consuming

*2015-10-08, version 4.7*

The new DB layout has not been properly thought out. Its design makes creating certs time consuming (clicking in and out to input data, moving circuits option, just makes things ridiculously SLOW). If you are working on a commercial EICR or have 4 reports in a day to do, don't use this tablet version. It should be easy to use like the (desktop version) and adapted to suit a tablet user. My advice to the developers are redesign it like the desktop version but make it simpler to use on a tablet e.g use all the functions a tablet allows you too. I will be sticking to the desktop version but life would be much easier if i could carry my tablet to do my jobs. You will get the job done sooner going back to written certs than this tablet version.

### 1/5 — Was great now...

*2015-09-29, version 4.7*

Having used this software for a couple of years it has been great
But this new update to the DB layout page is awful I not sure of the thinking behind it but it has gone backwards to the old days like the ones you bought from eBay, please sort this otherwise I they will lose all there customers! I won't be renewing in 45 days that's for sure

### 1/5 — Rubbishy update

*2015-09-24, version 4.6*

The last update was horrible, the whole thing crashes each time! Rubbish!

### 1/5 — Brainless new design.

*2015-09-20, version 4.6*

The new feature " displaying the schedule of circuits " better is kick back to '90 where you have to scroll horizontally and vertically while you have to keep track on what line you are ! No brain behind this new feature really disappointing ! I do wonder if they heard/consider UX !
Crashes . Crashes crashes did I say it keeps crashing .. Also with the new OS 9 no preparation was made .. It seem the developer isn't after the users satisfaction they just after profit hence the super price !
The support team quick in replying but very superficial!
I would look for something related before getting tangled with is app

### 1/5 — Laurence

*2015-05-17, version 4.5*

Wouldn't of even bothered downloading the app if the creators were upfront about its cost. For £225 I'd expect them to come out and test the installations to !

### 1/5 — Dr

*2014-02-01, version 3.1*

Poor product support considering the support package is paid for. Look at alternatives before taking the expensive option like easycert.

### 2/5 — Was good until it dumped all my work

*2013-12-20, version 3.0*

I lost 3 customers through this.
Here I am doing 2 EICR's in one day. It was a very long day. Didn't have time to do much when got home. Next day I had to do a board change along with an EIC. Another long day. Towards the end of it the software kept doing strange things. Upon querying I was told that I must update to the latest update as there are critical fixes on there. Being in Boston Spa, the mobile internet is very poor on O2 but I persevered and upgraded. Then bang. All work lost. Told them and they told me I should have done a back up on my PC first. It's not their fault, they are aware of this issue but it's apples fault. Subsequent emails resulted in me getting the impression they couldn't give a damn. Thanks for that.

Been using icertify which is quite good but not got smoke alarms and is limited with minor bugs too.

Do I try this again? Do I trust it. Should I pay the money they now want?

Not sure guys.

### 2/5 — Crashes regularly

*2013-10-09, version 2.9*

As the title says this crashes before a cert has even been saved . I could not even finish a minor works due to it crashing so much .This is a shame and I feel let down as this was one of the reasons I purchased easy cert. Sort this out and I will use it a lot more.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Easy cert

*2026-05-18, version 12.7*

Started off well but customer service is terrible takes weeks to get an answer I had fully paid for the software and it took ages to get answers why it was not working
A lot better to go with the New AI units simple and faster with everything stored in the cloud

### 1/5 — Software Gone downhill

*2026-02-13, version 12.3*

HAs massively gone downhill, arrogant customer service and software seems to delete everything !

### 1/5 — Very Poor - no communication

*2026-01-21, version 12.3*

Certs out of date - fire cert still showing 2017…..

### 1/5 — Poor support

*2025-04-11, version 12.0*

Had a couple of issues recently and one am still waiting for a response weeks later the other I’m waiting for an update to be pushed out to correct Information on a certificate that is 8 years out of date, they have not responded to my request to advise how long this will be and my software license is soon due to expire so likely to change provider now.

### 1/5 — Potential

*2025-03-21, version 12.0*

There is huge potential with this app but unfortunately no updates are ever released or any improvements carried out despite paying a yearly license fee.

### 1/5 — Avoid At All Costs

*2025-01-15, version 12.0*

I have used this software for a number of years and it was ok, not great but ok. Recently though I had an issue and contacted Mr Brian Harper who I assume is the only person who runs this software and he’s just completely ignored my emails. There is no support whatsoever for this app and because of Mr Harper’s rude and disgusting treatment this app has cost my business a lot of money so don’t make the same mistake as me and avoid at all costs.

### 1/5 — Abysmal!

*2024-03-14, version 12.0*

This app is just about bearable when it works, which isn’t often. Crashes continually, lags, deletes parts of your cert, removes template details with no explanation as to why and don’t even get me started on the customer service. Absolutely appalling. Brian harper, the developer, also deals with “technical support” which is neither technical or supportive. What an arrogant dinosaur of a man. Takes forever to answer and isn’t any help when he does. Wish I could rate this zero stars as it’s what it deserves.

### 1/5 — Use at your peril

*2023-12-13, version 12.0*

Great software, shame about the customer service. Went to renew the subscription but took an age, finally replied back saying I have refunded your subscription and good luck with your new supplier. So will be seeking legal advice as took 3 weeks to transfer all my certificates to electraform

### 1/5 — Poor customer service

*2023-10-06, version 12.0*

The software itself is great. However, if you come across an issue, don’t expect the customer service to help you out. Extremely arrogant and unhelpful. Paying lots of money for a service and they haven’t got the courtesy to keep you informed if any issues arrived.

### 1/5 — Software okay, support is terrible

*2023-08-18, version 12.0*

Been trying to phone there support number online for weeks as I am not able to send any certs. No answer and no response to emails.
Support is terrible which is a shame as the software is pretty good.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Mathew

*2025-03-21, version 12.0*

Great app. There is a 2 day wait for the refresh but it’s worth waiting. Super easy to work and produces a pro cert. My clients are happy so that’s the main thing.

### 5/5 — Cracking bit of software.

*2013-01-30, version 2.3*

Have been using the click/NICEIC software for years and this beats it hands down. So easy to use on an iPhone. Simple to use and syncs perfectly between devices. To those people moaning that it costs £60 for your upgrades for a year: do you really think that developing something like this costs nothing??
My only gripe is that it can't be used on more than one mobile device at a time, but that's not worth losing a star over. I'd recommend this to anybody. Excellent.

### 5/5 — excellent

*2012-04-27, version 1.9*

This app is absolutely brilliant, saves loads of time, I've just started using it for work now, and it's doing it's job already, a couple of things though, nothing major and not worth losing a star over, if there could be a certificate for both fire extinguishers and fire alarm faults call, it would make this app a 6 star. overall though, fantastic

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2011-11-26, version 1.6*

At last a company that does not expect us to carry around ancient windows mobile or even palm ! devices does what it says on the tin well done keep up the good work .Just need to buy an iPad now for my fat fingers

### 5/5 — Excellent!

*2011-10-15, version 1.5*

What can I say that hasn't already been said. Excellent app that just keeps getting better. Brian takes the feedback and makes it happen. Beats any rivals by price and does so much more as well. No call centre or answer phone when you ring support, always straight through to a person who knows what you mean.

### 5/5 — New beginning.

*2011-09-21, version 1.4*

Well done to the guys at tysoft. We can finally get rid of the little screen pad's and a new dawn in electrical reports. Keep up the awsome work..

### 5/5 — Absolutely brilliant

*2011-09-06, version 1.2*

Great app works as it should.
I have used Tysoft for years in my work as an Electrician and the products, value for money and support that Brian offers is second to none.
If you are a self employed electrician give it a go you won't be disappointed.

### 5/5 — At last!

*2011-09-05, version 1.2*

Been waiting for this app for a while!! Going to make my life a lot easier and I don't have to carry reams of paper round anymore!! A few snags though but still 5stars.

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2011-09-02, version 1.2*

What an amazing piece of software!!!! Finally Certs on my iPhone

### 5/5 — Mr

*2011-09-01, version 1.2*

Just keeps getting better and works like a charm.
I would like an update for the iPad but for now well happy
