Simple, clean and effective. Thanks for this app, it does exactly what I need!

### 5/5 — Nice

*2024-09-18, version 2.0.1*

But bug, bug no keyboard

### 5/5 — Great！

*2024-08-02, version 2.0.1*

Can we have an option to change the font? It would be nice to have a favorite font to use when editing large files

### 5/5 — Easy edit (iPhone version)

*2024-07-06*

This app is very simple and nice. You can edit text files as expected. It automatically saves. You can create a new text file. Nice.

### 5/5 — Underrated

*2024-06-19, version 1.6.1*

Now I can blueprint edit on spaceflight simulator on mobile

### 5/5 — no explanation

*2024-06-12, version 1.6.1*

none needed

### 5/5 — Exactly 👍

*2024-04-07, version 2.0.1*

Well done developer! This app is exactly what I've been looking for, an iOS substitute for TextEdit that comes with MacOS.

### 5/5 — Current version limited to iOS 17?

*2024-03-15*

I’ve been using this app for years, it’s excellent, and Sahand deserves a tip. The features in version 1.6.1 were all I ever needed, and they all worked flawlessly. But I’ve got to ask: was there any particular technical (or other) reason why version 2.0 was limited to devices with iOS 17? I use other office and text editing apps and I’ve never seen this limitation implemented so rapidly after a new iOS version is released. Apple is still issuing security updates for iOS 16, and people still use it.

### 5/5 — The Plainest Text Editor App I Could Want

*2024-01-05, version 1.6.1*

Love this app, I have a large markdown file which is 1.2 mb which made me experience lots of lag when viewing and editing with other apps on iOS. This app just opens it up and allows me to edit the same file without any performance issues.

### 5/5 — Great

*2023-09-28, version 1.6.1*

This is one of the most useful apps I’ve downloaded in a long time. My only question/recommendation: is there a way to rename the document from within the document, instead of renaming once it’s already saved and viewed in the folder?

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2023-09-26, version 1.6.1*

This editor is just what I was looking for!

### 5/5 — So good

*2023-01-30, version 1.6.1*

Best editor

### 5/5 — Works Great!

*2022-08-28, version 1.6.1*

Thank you very much, Sahand! Tip sent!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Beware

*2023-09-08, version 1.6.1*

Beware that when you initially attempt to download this to your iPad, it pops up a window after you double press the power button, to think you for your purchase. Say, what?
Also, you can enable a keyboard to use for typing in this app, but it is a keyboard that is no where near the width of the screen, even in portrait orientation. The keyboard is maybe 30% of the width. No normal sized keyboard is pretty bad for a text editor app.

### 1/5 — What?!

*2021-06-17, version 1.6*

I just downloaded this and created my first document. It will not let me TITLE the document. I kept trying and have “Untitled document 1, 2, 3 …

### 2/5 — Be careful that it doesn’t lose your work!

*2025-04-03, version 2.0.1*

I’ve edited iCloud text documents with this app, no problem. But today I created a new text document in EasyEditText. I saved the document to iCloud, but the saved document contained only a string that looked like the path to the original file. I killed and relaunched EasyEditText, and it had only a copy of my document from earlier in the day. I don’t know how it got confused, but I lost some work. Be careful when you use this app!

### 2/5 — Not useful

*2020-04-17, version 1.0*

It edits text files but that’s it, nothing else, the worst failure is that there’s no ability to print so even relating a simple note to pin on a door.

Thanks for being a free app but if I can’t type up something and quickly print it it’s really of no use.

### 3/5 — Apparently Requires .txt file extension

*2025-12-25, version 2.1.1*

I wanted to edit a text file. The app found it, but it was grayed out and I could not select it. It’s named without a file extension because of the app that created it. Seems like a rather primitive expectation. So I was unable to test the app.

### 3/5 — Simple text only editor

*2025-09-14, version 2.0.1*

I just want a simple text only editor. But that seems impossible on the Apple platform. I want to open, edit, save and create plain text files that I save on my iPad or iCloud with the native operating system.

I DO NOT want some app that is going to hide my notes in its own database or contrivance. I want to be able to open the text file with OTHER apps too.

I hate to praise Microsoft, but I want an app just like the Windows Notepad.

This isn't it.

### 3/5 — Good, but…

*2024-07-28, version 2.0.1*

App opens to iCloud files showing al TXT files and Access to all locations and connected servers. Good
Typing offers usual and needed correction and in-line task ribbon

Ugh: No pinch/zoom to enlarge view - with needed word wrap. old eyes need this simple option/feature for text enlargement

App is supposed to be a simple text machine made to pour in ‘stuff’ for reread and rearrange. I’ll pass

### 3/5 — Not sure I get the hang of it

*2024-03-01, version 2.0.1*

Trying this out on my iPad. Using an Apple pen set to Scribble. I like it when I can make it work right.

But I can’t seem to get the words to stay on the same line. At some point, the words that I am writing with my pen jump down to the next line and there is no way I can make them go back where they should be. I can put the cursor at the correct place but as soon as I start to write, the text jumps back down to a new line.

Must be something I am doing because I don’t see this problem from others, but I won’t be able to use it until I figure this out.

### 3/5 — Review

*2020-11-06, version 1.6*

It’s light and easy really good, I like it.

but even light and extremely simple text editors on any operation systems have feature for font size change. I think it must be here.

### 4/5 — Excellent plain text editor

*2025-01-23*

This is the best plain text editor I have used on iOS. The one issue I encountered is that while I am in a document, I can't copy/paste in the document's name field at the top. Please consider fixing that and adding a monospaced font option. Otherwise, I highly recommend this app for anyone looking for a plain text editor on iOS.

### 5/5 — THIS IS ELON MUSK

*2026-07-05, version 2.2.0*

I can just select my sfs blueprints and edit them😀

### 5/5 — Exactlywhat I need

*2026-05-28, version 2.2.0*

This is exactly the simple connected text editing app I need for my workflow. The app handles external cloud connections using iOS Files so no extra connections needed.

### 5/5 — Does what says on the tin

*2026-05-10, version 2.2.0*

This app claims to be TextEdit for iOS and that is exactly what it is, no more and no less.

The files integration makes this feel like a native app.

### 5/5 — Now I can Bp edit!!!!

*2026-04-21, version 2.2.0*

Yayayay

### 5/5 — App saved my life

*2026-02-15, version 2.1.1*

Well maybe not but this app makes it so easy to open and edit notes and text files directly on the phone. Highly recommend and I have even tipped the builder 😀

### 5/5 — This app is perfect

*2026-01-11, version 2.1.1*

I use this app for bp edit in sfs and it is very helpful

### 5/5 — So simple

*2025-04-02, version 2.0.1*

I’ve been looking for a way to edit .txt files on iPhone for weeks now. This app is perfect. Small, simple, should come with the OS.

### 5/5 — Yes

*2025-01-25, version 2.0.1*

(Meme) Perfect every Single bit of it

### 5/5 — Great app

*2024-11-30, version 2.0.1*

Similar to Mac’s TextEdit. You can add any of your .txt files in any Files or ICloud Drive folder.

### 5/5 — actually insane

*2024-10-28, version 2.0.1*

I rarely write reviews and didn’t think I would for a text editing app I wanted to do some homework on for a little bit, but it’s actually such a well made app that perfectly syncs with the files app and does the “simple” job of text editing perfectly without being bogged down with ads or a billion menus, wish this guy made all my apps
