First if it tells me I already have an account but never get the password email I requested many times.  Then it says my surname doesn’t match my id….. as if I can’t spell my own surname.  Come on gush ur getting the basics wrong.

Cumbersome app to use. Struggle to select stocks that I want to add to my wish list and just overall to find things in your profile is not very intuitive. App always requires a few seconds between moving between sections. Just not very slick at all. I think the previous version was much better to use.

I loaded this app with great expectations only to fall flat on my face with disappointment. 
The app is so very slow to load, sometimes I only get a blank screen or rotate to the “car building” routine so many times before anything is revealed.
There are far too many clicks and menus to find information that should easily be available to would be investors like asset price, past performance, NAV, AUM etc. 
It does have some good features like “compare” which is handy but then the display screen has all these “undefined” labels which is sloppy.
I am desperately searching for an alternative but for now I’m stuck. Come on developers, this online brokerage has the ability to go so far but your app is letting it down.

But you can make it easier for statements and tax cert. Just email them. Now I have to download one at a time, then I have to print to pdf in order to save to send to accountant. To do this I need to add my ID twice, once to view PDF and 2nd to print to pdf. You can’t download or share the download as it will not open so you have to print to PDF in order to share or even open for yourself later. This is beyond annoying to say the least.

Although I do enjoy investing in the app and for the most part it is easy to do so, there was a push to “create an account for your child” which I did and now I have to log in and out of each separate account and the app gives errors when I transact in one account then login to the next account and try to transact again. It’s almost as if there are controls against accessing multiple accounts, yet I was encouraged to (& would want to continue) managing both my and my two kids accounts. 

If you could just incorporate the opportunity to link and manage multiple accounts through a single login that would be ideal

You’d think that depositing funds to Easy Equities, using the same bank would help speed things up. 24 hours later I’m still waiting for my funds to appear. On other platforms, it’s a matter of a few hours at the very most. Who is enjoying all that juicy interest in the meantime, I wonder? And sort out your mobile app - it’s as slow as a tortoise! And whoever designed the layout and navigation should be shot!

It would be very helpful if there would be and option to create a debit order to the account where the investor can then distribute such funds either manually or automatically to whichever company they wish to invest in this would curb having numerous debit orders to each company. This would serve as a “central debit order” or a “consolidated debit order” then multiple distributions to different companies as per investor needs.

Mobile UI is way too busy. Component design also too cluttered. Within each account type the “dashboard” is trying to do too much and creates poor UX. Within an account type why is “account actions” so far down on the page, arguably the feature users most frequently need to interact with - then to click that and choose from further options. On account page I don’t need a full p&l, just balance, for more detailed analysis guide user to click and drill down - this section currently takes the whole screen

This platform used to be easy to use, no longer the case, both the app and the website is a struggle to find things that made my investing journey so easy. 
I often have to switch between the 2 platforms to figure things out. No longer easy as all. I don’t understand why something that worked so well for entry level investors and pro’s was replaced.

I’ve had EE for a good few years & it’s never presented an issue.  However for the past 2 months (going on 3) I haven’t been able to login / access my account - I’ve contacted EE via email & finally got a response. Saying “We would like to check if your issue has been resolved. If you are still experiencing difficulties, kindly respond to this email, and we will assist you promptly. If your issue has been resolved, you may disregard this communication.” (After 1 month) - I responded quickly to the email & still no further communication has been made or attempt to resolve the issue. It’s such a pity & shocking customer service.

Don’t download this app. I got it in 2022 and put money inside and the money has been going down ever since and even put my account on a negative. What they don’t mention is the monthly charges to your account. This is not investing it’s a scam. If you want to grow your money, don’t get this app. it will eat up your savings. Don’t Download!!!

I am yet again struggling to get n statement from my account. It is either late by a month or cannot download. When trying to report this you are greeted with very unhelpful robot and your ticket just disappears into the abyss. So frustrating, luckily in the process to get rid of EasyEquities.

For a financial service provider, you would expect prompt support for any issues regarding fund misallocations but they send you one email detailing what is required and then they go radio silent. I don’t want to say I feel like my money is being stolen but the lack of communication raises alarms. I have made tickets, follow ups and provided them with what was required, and I receive no response giving any form of assurance. I have been with EE for years now and do not understand how they have not refined their support over the times. 

Very disappointing. Situations like these have people looking for alternative FSPs.

Absolutely unacceptable service. My EasyTrader account has completely disappeared from my main page — I can still transfer money to my EasyTrader ZAR account, but the account itself just vanishes. I have a live leveraged gold trade that I can’t access or monitor while the price is dropping, meaning I’m likely losing money in real time. It’s been over a full day with no proper assistance. The only response I received was an email saying “everything looks fine,” when it clearly isn’t. No one gets back to me, no one helps, and there’s zero urgency from support. This kind of issue with a live trading platform is beyond unprofessional.

It is such a great app to invest with but they are very unreliable when you urgently need to make a withdrawal and are very shady. Over the past couple of days, I have had to make a withdrawal from my daughter’s account for her urgent care and all of a sudden, the “My Funds” tab is forever loading and I can’t initiate the withdrawal. This only started happening once the funds were ready to be withdrawn (settled), before that, I could access this tab just fine! I thought it could be a technical glitch for all EE accounts but I logged on into mine the My Funds tab is working just fine. I opened a support ticket and they closed it, claiming the issue has been resolved when it clearly hasn’t been resolved!
I’ve had my frustration with the app in the past but I swear if this is not resolved ASAP, I am cleaning all my accounts and investing in other apps! This is ridiculous!

If you used to use EE even 5 years ago you know it was a cool, beginner friendly app that allowed you to learn how to invest easily while having very minimal costs. Now it has a thrive fee and it makes absolutely no sense. R25? For what exactly?
And thats not even the only thing. Everything at this point, from depositing the money to investing in any stocks or annuities to even taking your money back out, every single this has some kind of cost that makes no sense at all. There should just be one simple fixed amount you pay (monthly or annually) then everything covers that.
There’s just too many hidden costs now that I’m no longer interested in this app. At all.

It is so difficult to close your account, especially if you have easy properties. You can almost big get rid of your easy properties shares, as it is an auction process.
You can hardly get hold of customer support as they don't make it easy to contact them. You should check their reviews on Hello Peter and Trust Pilot, which are so poor and don't have any responses. Its been almost 2 years since I've tried to close my account. No luck yet...

I really thought it was a reliable application so I put very sensitive information but nothing works on my side and in addition I write to them three times and I have no help. really too bad. I really regret having downloaded it. The NYC does not work. nothing works and they have all my information.

I started using the EasyEquities app about two years ago, and I had zero knowledge about investing at the time. My husband introduced me to it, and I’m so glad he did! The demo account was a game-changer—it let me play around and learn without risking any real money. After about a month of experimenting, I felt confident enough to start investing for real.

The app is user-friendly, even for total beginners. My portfolio has grown nicely over the past two years, and that’s been incredibly motivating. While the app does have the occasional glitch, overall, it feels safe and reliable, and I trust it as a reputable financial platform.

I really enjoy the USD platform, which has performed well and is easy to navigate. The crypto platform is also super intuitive, with real-time tracking of gains and losses, which I find very helpful.

I haven’t tried withdrawing funds yet as I’m focused on a long-term strategy, so I can’t speak to that part of the experience. But so far, I’m very happy with how the app works and how it’s helped me grow in confidence as a first-time investor.

I downloaded the app and mistakenly made a deposit into the wrong account—Equities RA instead of Equities ZA. Initially, I thought this couldn’t be undone since RA is a retirement account designed for long-term investments with no withdrawal option. However, Londiwe Mbatha assisted me and kept me updated throughout the process. I highly recommend this app to all South Africans interested in investing.

I’ve been a client of SBK OST for 2 decades and signed up with Satrix and later EasyEquities around 2017.  EE’s app is far superior to most out there.  Their fees are a fraction of what I pay with SBK.  The ability to hold local shares and ETFs, offshore shares and ETFs, Reits, Crypto all in one place… this offering from EasyEquities is just different level…… I have signed up accounts for my wife and both my kids.  My mum and siblings have EasyEquities….. my close friends have all signed up on my recommendation and they are all so happy with the platform …. Well done Charles and team… !!!
