## Newest reviews (6 of 26)

### 2/5 — Not good

*2024-02-02*

Just like other reviews have stated, app won’t connect. I also can’t paste from my clipboard into the payload section.

### 2/5 — Many broken features

*2023-11-15, version 1.14.0*

There is no way to hide the keyboard after entering connection details without restarting the app.

You can only see upto 100 messages and it doesn’t save the history, could easily be stored locally don’t know why they want money to do this.

When subscribed to a feed it can be a bit annoying to actually see the messages, have to open and close the subscription tab a few times till they start coming through.

### 2/5 — Purchased graphing but it’s a fail

*2022-06-18*

Graphing hardly works. Says there are no data points for the topics but literally to the right of the display I can see the topics and data right there. Frustrating user interface with multiple save buttons on the same pages. Mac and iPhone versions both have broken graphing.

**Developer response:** Hello! Make sure to set “Interval in hours” to 0 for the graph, that way it should update immediately when you’re subscribed to the topic. I’ll have to improve the user experience and documentation a bit on that as well. Get in touch on discord or via email, I’m happy to help :)

### 1/5 — Seems like a good app but...

*2022-01-27*

It doesn't seem to get new messages until you close and reopen so it's not entirely useful. Also I paid for the "plus" through the iOS app but the "restore purchases" button doesn't work on MacOS.

### 1/5 — Not easy at all

*2021-12-28*

Difficult to understand how to use. Not intuitive at all.

**Developer response:** Hey! Please get in touch on Discord or at contact@easymqtt.app and I’d be happy to help! I also really appreciate any feedback to improve the user experience of the app :)

### 1/5 — not work

*2021-04-02*

can’t connect mqtt server

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Unable to get off Connection Screen

*2025-10-29, version 1.18.0*

Maybe you should do some testing on this App. I can connect/disconnect.. but then what?

### 1/5 — Good app, but UI broken

*2025-06-20, version 1.16.2*

The keyboard is no way to hide. I was thinking to buy the app, but this bug is too annoying

### 1/5 — Poor support for an unreliable app

*2025-03-08*

I bought the Plus version and have been using it for years. It periodically wipes out its own configuration, such that I need to set up the broker and shortcuts from scratch. When I contacted the author he basically said “sorry I don’t know why that happens.”

### 1/5 — Easy MQTT

*2024-09-04, version 1.16.2*

the most unintuitive MQTT I have come across.

### 1/5 — Instructions?

*2023-07-25*

Why do you have an app out there that has no actual instructions about? How do use it? I’ve gone to your website, and all you say is fill in the blanks. But the terms you use are not being used on other programs, like mosquito, or the Adafruit.
If you can’t tell us what goes where, resulting in never being able to connect, then the app is worthless.

**Developer response:** Hello! I’m looking to improve the documentation a bit, would you be able to reach out on discord (link in the app) or at contact@easymqtt.app? It would help a lot!

### 1/5 — Does nothing but connect

*2023-05-29*

Other MQTT clients on my phone, Mac connect just fine and show messages on subscribed topics. Not this app.

### 1/5 — Could not perform a paste of the MQTT broker DNS Gwen

*2023-05-26, version 1.10.5*

This app fell at the first hurdle for me. I am using hiveMQ as my MQTT broker, and the host name cluster url is about 50 characters long, starting with a pseudo random uuid type string. When trying to add this as a broker in the connect screen, there was no “paste” functionality in the host field. It does have “scan text “ but no paste function. Hence I cannot use this as I am too lazy to type a long complicated string into the app while I know there exists a much simpler alternative.

### 1/5 — Disappointing

*2023-04-29*

Was looking for an app that would allow me to keep tabs on several temperature sensors that send their data to my MQTT broker. After a week of messing with this app, I finally got it to draaw the graphs but it refuses to update the data and graphs unless I manually refresh each and every graph.

### 1/5 — Just doesn’t work

*2022-12-28*

Just doesn’t receive messages, any messages, on any server, including test servers. Went to the Discord for help, no real support it seems. Wanted this to work, glad I got to try before I bought it because it would have been money wasted.

### 1/5 — Difficult connection

*2022-02-02, version 1.7.10*

Every other client I’m using connects to my broker without fail. This app doesn’t, and gives absolutely no feedback

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Easy by name….

*2022-07-24, version 1.9.2*

Easy by nature! EasyMQTT is a non fussy, easyt to set up MQTT app. I connected my ThingsOnEdge Cricket in no time at all and added a couple of widgets to visualise data. The graphs are simple but nice looking. The developer is very responsive and open to revisions. I would recommend this app

### 5/5 — Really Great App

*2021-08-08, version 1.5.1*

User-friendly, functional and easy! Makes connecting to MQTT Brokers a breeze.

### 5/5 — Helped me discover topic structure

*2021-03-22, version 1.5.0*

Trying to get a Tasmotised device topic structure. Using tasmota_TH/# as topic, this helped show how tasmota structured the sub topics ie SENSOR. Thanks very happy.

### 5/5 — A Must Have for MQTT

*2020-12-30*

EasyMQTT is great. It is simple to use and easily connected to my TLS secured MQTT broker. The integration with Siri shortcuts is a wonderful feature. I can basically control anything I want to in my home automation using Siri. The developer is great as well. For me, this is the best MQTT app I have purchased for my phone.

### 5/5 — My go-to MQTT app

*2020-10-27, version 1.0.1*

I love how clutter-free this app is! It’s well designed and functions beautifully.

### 4/5 — Notification would improve this otherwise fine app.

*2021-01-25, version 1.4.0*

As far as I can work out this cannot display a notification on receipt of subscribed messages. The ability to do that would rate this app “excellent”.
It was really easy to set up and worked with my private broker immediately.

### 4/5 — I really want it to work

*2020-11-14*

For reasons unclear, this app will not connect to my MQTT server. Another app on the same phone will with the same settings. I am using an iPhone 11.

Edit: Developer’s reply the next day fixed the problem. Still a little rough around the edges but the first app to do this (to my knowledge) and a benefit to anybody using iphone and MQTT!

**Developer response:** There is currently a bug where the app won’t connect the very first time you launch it. Try force closing it and then open it again. If it still doesn’t work, could you send an email to contact@easymqtt.app? It would really help with debugging this :)

### 3/5 — Older iOS Support

*2023-10-08*

I love the app on my newer iOS devices. Wish it still supported iOS < 16. I have a few older Apple devices that I cannot install it on.

### 3/5 — Looks promising but a few issues with macOS version

*2022-02-16*

I'm not able to import a .p12 certificate file using the macOS version. The iOS version works fine.

On macOS Big Sur, after picking the .p12 file, it doesn't show up in EasyMQTT. It still says that "no certificate found" and "Refresh" doesn't work.

### 2/5 — Buggy, however, it has great potential with nice UI.

*2024-03-06, version 1.16.0*

I really wanted to use this app however when setting up a broker, the broken buttons would duplicate when pressing connect, there is no error feedback so I don't know what was wrong with the connection but I could not get connected in this app. No problem connecting elsewhere.
