Went online and found tons of websites that would charge you for creating a doc from a pdf, but I’m skeptical since I’ve been disappointed in the past with the quality only after having paid for a service such as this. Decided to search for an app and found this free one, so gave it a go! It allowed me convert to the complex PDF to an editable Docx file in minutes and didn’t screw up any of the boxes or info! Amazing! I could then do the mail merge with an excel file, saving me hours of handwriting in names and info! Very pleased. ### 5/5 — Works! Thanks BCL technologies ### 5/5 — Works Perfectly on iPad Pro *2018-02-13, version 1.1.0* I am a student who needed to convert a textual study guide from a PDF to a Word document on an iPad Pro so that I could edit the study guide’s text. This application worked like a charm! I was surprised when it instantly converted roughly 40 pages of text (in PDF format) to a Word Document. I was able to easily open and save the document in Word after converting it. Everything is now editable in Word—including the headnotes and footnotes. I never write reviews, but this application just saved me about 20 hours of work re-writing a study guide, so it seems worth the five minutes to thank the app developers! ### 5/5 — Far Exceeds Expectations! *2017-10-25, version 1.1.0* With so many apps out there that try to deceive you into spending money, It is so refreshing to get one that gives more then expected. This app really was so easy to do so. It took me less than 1 minute and the app literally walked me through all 3 steps it took to get it converted. Such an easy app to use, it also makes the newly converted PDF doc easy to find on your iPhone once converted. There are a lot of apps with so many bells and wistles you're not sure if you want to hear the bell or the whistle first. Furthermore, a lot of them charge to convert the full document. This one is simple, and, more for my benefit as a blind IPhone user, very accessible with Voiceover. I got the doc I wanted to convert within seconds, literally, of uploading it to the app and this was a 300 page ebook. So, thanks, this time, for silencing the bells and whistles, my ears were hurting after looking at other apps. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — My documents open in word with double print. *2019-09-14, version 1.2.0* The conversion was fast, instructions easy to understand. But when I go to word to open doc. It was the letter double on top of each other. I sent to my iCloud during conversion the opened from there not sure if that has any thing to do with it. I’m using a iPad. ### 1/5 — Rarely do I feel ripped off by a free app… *2017-03-22, version 1.1.0* This app is the exception. It exported my pdfs as pics and added the ".docx" extension to fool programs into thinking they are Word files. They are not—they are simply pics disguised as word files. Didn't even make decent pics out the pdfs. In any case, I can already export PDFs as photos any number of ways. Avoid this like the bubonic plague! Lesson learned, app DELETED! ### 2/5 — Yes but *2018-10-03, version 1.1.0* Beware. Your pdf needs to be one in which you can actually select text. If it’s really just a scanned picture of text, it will not be editable in Word. Doh. Should have realized that. Not what I wanted but not necessarily a bad app. ### 2/5 — File Size Is Too Large... *2016-05-28, version 1.1.0* This app would not convert an important DOC from PDF to WORD as it stated the document was too large and needed to be under 10Meg in size. Another wasted moment of my time downloading and installing this app only to find out after the fact the app would not convert the file due to a simple thing as size on my iPad Pro. Perhaps this is a limit set by the developer or an iOS limitation, either way it should state this in the app description clearly as many PDF's that people will convert may be over 10Mb. ### 2/5 — Crashing *2016-05-09, version 1.1.0* Used to be the only app that would directly convert .doc to PDF without messing with formatting. Now that it crashes every time I try to import a document from OneDrive, this app has become worthless to me. ### 3/5 — It's Ok *2016-08-31, version 1.1.0* So I've only given it 3 stars and here's why. First it's truely free (no in app purchase or any last minute gotchas). Secondly, it does just an "OK" conversion. None of the text that is in the PDF is truely able to be edited or searched in Word as it traslates the image of the PDF to a WORD document fromat and does not translate the words just merely the way it looks. So it's not really useful if you are trying to convert PDF document word for word and make changes to the document in Word to it. The conversion is pretty speedy. Thirdly the interface is kinda clugey at best. The "round about methods" that you have to use to retrieve the document and save the converted document are not convenient. This is 2016 there are better ways at getting the information in and out of the converter. As apps go...It's just OK. Not the worst and not the best. You pay for what you get. ### 4/5 — Easy to use *2020-10-14, version 1.2.0* I have used this application to convert my pdf file to text which I liked in this application it is easy to use and it converts the file faster without any problem ### 4/5 — Security concern. Where are documents uploaded? *2016-04-18, version 1.1.0* While converting a file, I saw that it says "uploading document." I'm concerned this is uploading private documents to a server anywhere in the world that the authors of this app can read. ### 5/5 — Accurate with word by word editing results *2022-05-17, version 1.2.0* I downloaded every APP that claimed the ability to translate PDF to DOCX OR. .PAGES I searched for a PDF on my iPad with several types of formatting, left, right justified and centered, caps, all caps, normal. The only thing it did not was boxes. I was rewarded with a DOCX which appeared identical to source. (Over 33% of all other "converters" would give you a run on paragraph that you would have to reformat). I clicked SENDTO on the IPAD and chose PAGES, and I had a perfectly formatted file in PAGES. THE ONLY APP that comes close in performance is Adobe Acrobat Pro, but that will cost $10 every month, that you have to figure into your monthly budget.
