## What is easyPrompter?

easyPrompter turns your iPhone, iPad and Mac into a teleprompter. Paste or write your script, press Start and read while you look into the camera: the text scrolls past the amber reading line at the speed you speak.

Built on real video shoots, for the people in front of the camera: founders, teachers, creators, speakers, and anyone who'd rather not learn a script by heart.

THE PROMPTER, FREE
• Smooth scrolling from 40 to 320 words per minute, the same speed on every device
• Reading line, 3·2·1 countdown and loop
• Mirror and flip for teleprompter glass and beam-splitter rigs
• Six reading fonts, any text and background colour, text size, line spacing and margins
• Tap to pause, drag to find your place, jump by paragraph
• Keyboard, Bluetooth page turners, clickers and foot pedals
• External display and AirPlay: the prompter on the big screen, the controls in your hand
• No account needed to start. No ads, no tracking

EYE CONTACT AND CAMERA, FREE
• Eye contact: the lines you're reading sit in a narrow island right under the camera, below the Dynamic Island, the top edge of the iPad or the MacBook notch
• Make the island narrower or wider, so your eyes barely move
• On a Mac, the island hangs from the notch above every other app, for video calls
• The front camera behind your script, to check your framing and light

EASYPROMPTER PRO
• Record yourself while you read: the script stays out of the video, and the video stays on your device
• Your scripts saved to your account and synced across iPhone, iPad, Mac and the web
• Up to 200 scripts in your running order, with previous and next script inside the prompter
• An editor with bold, italic, underline, six colours and lists. Pasting from Word, Google Docs or Notes keeps the formatting
• Write with AI: a first draft sized to your speaking speed, in 7 tones, 6 formats and 7 languages. Or ask for changes to a script you already have
• Remote control: run the prompter on one device from another, or show a QR code and steer it from any phone
• Practice links: send a script to the person on camera, so they can rehearse it on the shoot screen at their own speed

One Pro subscription works wherever you sign in: on the apps and on the web.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.1 — 2026-10-25

New: eye contact and recording

• Eye contact: the lines you're reading sit in a narrow black island right under the camera, below the Dynamic Island on iPhone, from the top edge on iPad and from the notch on a MacBook. Your eyes stay on the lens. On a Mac, set its width in the prompter's Eye contact panel.
• Mac: the island hangs from the notch above every other app, so you can read during a video call while the app's window stays your control panel.
• Start camera: one button turns on the front camera and eye contact. See yourself behind your script while you read.
• Record yourself (Pro): press Record, and after the countdown the recording and the scrolling start together. The script stays out of the video, and the video stays on your device: save it to Photos or share it.

Also new
• Countdown of 3, 5 or 10 seconds, and the close button at the top right
• A writing view above the keyboard on iPhone
• Every prompter setting in the prompter's quick menu
• Polish
• Send feedback from the app
