Each one changes the background photograph, the colours of your folders, the recipe rows and the buttons — the whole app, not just the wallpaper. **See all six before you decide** Open the ⋯ menu - settings and tap "See the six looks". Every look is shown full screen, with your own folders and your own recipe counts in it, so you can tell what your kitchen would actually look like. Free, no time limit. **The Classic look isn't going anywhere** Black background, fluorescent frames, exactly as you know it. It stays free and it stays the default — nothing changes unless you choose to change it. **One purchase, on its own** The Look Pack is a single purchase that never expires, and it is completely separate from EasyRecipes Unlimited: you can buy either one, both, or neither, in any order. **Also in this version** The welcome screen has been redesigned to be calmer and easier to read, and it now follows whichever look you have chosen. ### 1.7 — 2026-08-17 Easier OCR import: besides the camera, you can now start from a photo in your library or from a PDF saved in Files. The guided scan always follows the same order — title, ingredients, preparation — and the recipe card opens on its own when it's done. Servings printed on the page are now recognised and carried into the recipe. Kitchen timers: one in the free version, up to 30 with EasyRecipes Unlimited. Faster startup and a smoother app. Various fixes. ### 1.6 — 2026-08-11 Kitchen timers, because the bread rises while the sauce cooks. They have a page of their own and there can be as many as you need: set the duration on the wheels, write a name or pick one of ten kitchen presets — rising, cooking, marinating, freezing, cooling, sous vide, resting, soaking, fermenting, infusing — and give each timer its own sound, so three running at once tell you which one finished without looking. A volume slider stays in view on the page, and the alarm keeps ringing until you stop that particular timer. A clock appears in the top bar whenever something is counting down, and only then. Swipe to reach them. From the main screen and from inside any recipe: right for the timers, left for the recipe PDF. The first time you open a recipe a note explains it, with a switch to stop showing it — and it stays in Quick help if you want it again. iPad and Mac are no longer a stretched iPhone. Folders and recipe rows are more than twice as tall, text is a third larger, and buttons have room around them: usable with flour on your hands. Ingredients spread across columns instead of leaving two thirds of the card empty, and the content stays in a centred column instead of running edge to edge. Buttons now respond across their whole area, not only on the words. When a post only tells half the recipe, EasyRecipes now asks before doing anything about it. Say yes and the on-device AI keeps every line it actually read from the post and works out only what is missing, with the recipe marked so you know which part was worked out. Say no and you get exactly what was read, unchanged. Nothing is ever quietly invented. Half-read recipes are also recognised as such. A list of three ingredients with no method used to be filed away in silence; now it counts as incomplete and you get the choice. Siri phrases for the EasyRecipes shortcuts, along with their titles and descriptions, are available in all 13 languages of the app. Unlimited Premium moved to the top of the main menu: you can see at a glance whether it is active, or get it without going through Settings. New in Settings: Import diagnostics, a local log of the last import attempts. It never stores page content — only the address, the outcome and how much data arrived — and it is there for when a page refuses to be read and you want to know why. ### 1.5 — 2026-08-06 Recipes now keep their own language. A recipe you import in Italian stays Italian even if the app is set to German, so the flag on the card is right and "Translate recipe" no longer refuses the language you actually want. Recipes already saved with the wrong language fix themselves — no need to import them again. The on-device AI question now comes up at the very start of an import, not at the end. Whether you start from "Import" or share a page to EasyRecipes, you answer once, up front, and the import runs with your choice. Imports are faster, and every import path now shows the same full-screen progress page. ### 1.4 — 2026-08-03 Apple Intelligence, right on your iPhone EasyRecipes can now use Apple Intelligence, directly on your device, to read recipes from websites, videos and social posts. Everything stays on your iPhone: nothing is sent anywhere. You decide whether to turn it on, and if it is off the app reminds you before an import — importing works either way. Much better ingredient recognition A dictionary of 173 ingredients with their synonyms in all 13 app languages recognises ingredients even when they are written inside ordinary sentences, the way social recipes almost always are. Quantities are always read from the original text, never invented. You can always see what's happening Recipes shared from other apps now show the same full-screen progress view as browser imports, with the logo, a progress bar, a percentage with two decimals and ten messages describing the current stage. No more wondering whether the app is working or stuck. Clearer ingredient extraction In the recipe editor, "Extract ingredients" now explains that the split is a forced pass over the text and that the result is worth a quick check.
