### 2/5 — Lost blutooth …?

*2026-03-20, version 4.1*

Installed, blutooth works for about a day then can’t connect anymore. How is that possible, I don’t think its worth it…🙁

### 3/5 — Basic Application

*2026-03-18, version 4.1*

The Easy start device works well and is a welcome change to the normal hard starting of a compressor. Think dropping the clutch every time in your car versus using a smooth engagement. I do appreciate the cooling condenser fan spool up before starting the compressor and have mine set for 120 seconds. The mobile app gives real time data and then goes dark when the 240V is de-energized. Yet it is seeing 120V so why not make it remain available to connect. Overall it needs a dedicated refresh to be more useful.

### 3/5 — Limited Information

*2026-03-10, version 4.1*

The app is disappointing to me. You only get real time data on the current start up once the OD unit is energized. There is no history to look back to see if the device continues to work as it did from new. Connection via Bluetooth only, so you have to be close to the unit to get the data. I would hope a future update would give you the ability to see maybe the last 5 starts.
As for the functionality of the device, it does do what they claim. Installed on a 3 1/2 ton Trane XR14 heat pump. The 1st start my Fluke read 47 max amps and by the 5th start was 29 max amps. I do like how it allows for the condenser fan to start 1st, then compressor starts roughly 5 seconds later. I’m hopeful it extends the life of the unit.

### 3/5 — Awful range

*2026-01-05, version 4.1*

Just installed it. At first worst great but when I reinstalled the ac panel, the device doesn’t connect. Worried something was off, I removed the panel and the green light is still on and the the app connects. So replaced panel again and again it disconnects . Essentially I’ve given up on the app.

### 1/5 — EasyStart App No longer working

*2025-07-10, version 4.0*

After initiating the app and connecting an error is displayed
regarding “failure to read data”

### 4/5 — Decent for free

*2025-05-28, version 4.0*

Other soft start units don't have any connectivity. The app is basic. Like others say, when the AC shuts off, so does the EasyStart and so does the connection and the data is not saved, either. Screenshot away, folks. The Bluetooth range is weak and, of course, next to zero (but still usable) if you mount the EasyStart inside the AC panel. It's useful for monitoring the initial learning and troubleshooting, but don't expect it to be an always-on IoT type of experience.

### 3/5 — Needs improvement, to be more useful…

*2024-08-30, version 3.1*

The app, itself, works well. Being able to see real time status of the air conditioner is nice, BUT the fact that the app shows there are faults, but doesn’t tell you what the faults are, is extremely unhelpful. There is an option to send the fault log to the developer, and I assume they will tell you what the faults are, but it would be much more useful to have the app just show you what they are…. If it can determine and log that there are faults, there’s no reason why it can’t tell you what they are.

### 5/5 — Great product

*2024-06-22, version 3.1*

Great app for easy start, Good at what it does. Low amps on startup shown on app. But there is a bug in the app and it crashes when I try and connect to the device now. Hope some one sees this. Make a patch please. Using an iPhone 14pro max TY!

### 1/5 — Weak Bluetooth

*2024-05-05, version 3.1*

Need to be standing next to unit to connect via Bluetooth. Sad.

### 3/5 — app needs work and also bluetooth.

*2023-08-30, version 3.0*

Bluetooth connectivity is week, other devices around the house don’t have connectivity issues.
I have two easy start units, for a 5 ton and a 4 ton.
I have to be literally 10ft away from units inside the house to be able to connect and still some times I get connection errors.
When faults are shown I have
no way to see what they are. Have to send the report in to them and wait for their response and directions, that sometimes are not very clear to follow.
AC has to be running to be able to connect to the units. In my case I can only connect if I am 10ft from units, if I am away from the house and AC is working I can’t connect at all.
