### 4/5 — love the app, a few bugs tho

*2026-06-13, version 2.2.0*

i love the app, it’s made tracking my calories so easy, i’ve been using it for 13 months now and have lost 120lbs! the only issue i have is that randomly in march the “weekly report” feature just stopped working. i click on it and it just doesn’t load and says “something went wrong” and to try refreshing it, but it never works. not a huge issue as i didn’t rely too much on this feature, but it’s definitely annoying since i still liked to check what my weekly score was. they also added ads today, which show up after you submit a meal. the ads are annoying but you can skip them after a few seconds. my issue with them is that one of them (that i’ve seen twice now) is quite scummy…? it said that a virus had been added to my phone from “visiting adult websites” which i don’t think is very appropriate, and it then try’s to get you to download an app to “clean up” your phone. it’s just a very weird ad that’s a little inappropriate, and the point is obviously to scare you into downloading the app, which i don’t think is a good thing to promote. i love eat cute, but they might need to do some more oversight on the ads they approve to be shown to their users. with all this being said; i would still 100% recommend this app to others, which i’ve already done a few times, and they all end up loving it too!

### 4/5 — First Day :D

*2026-04-19*

I really like the aesthetic of this app!! I used but it seems like I need to add a lot of stuff manually and the chat is under maintenance :3 regardless I’m using it! I like the grocery list it gives you too but I wish you could customize the meals to get the list with both personal and recommendations! Regardless ima use it!

### 4/5 — Calorie Tracker

*2026-04-16*

I really enjoy everything about this app but my only issue with it is when I’m trying to raise or lower my calorie budget. It doesn’t have an option to just type the number in, the toggle setting is annoying and never gets to the exact number I need it to be.

### 4/5 — Sufficient with few flaws

*2026-03-05*

Overall I enjoy this app. I paid for the premium so I can take a picture of my meal & it’ll input it automatically. I love that feature.

One of my grievances which is why I gave it 4 stars vs 5 is, I tried to set up my meal plan with one of the options they offer, they give you the choice to put in diet restrictions which I thought was cool. After filling out my restrictions. they generated my plan. The problem came in when they gave me options with ham & shrimp when I put in that I don’t eat pork or shellfish.

I also don’t like that you aren’t able to adjust your calories for certain meals. Like they have 0/620 calories during lunch, but that’s when I usually eat the least amount of calories if I eat lunch at all. I’d like to be able to customize it myself.

I love the feature to track your water intake as well, but I wish I could have the option to do it in oz, not just ml.

The design has great potential. If it were more user friendly (fixing the issues above) it’d be the best! If those few things aren’t an issue for you, I recommend downloading. It helps to keep me accountable which is much needed!

### 3/5 — Trimmi

*2025-12-31*

I’ve been a bit frustrated with this app. Sometimes I show food and it thinks it’s something entirely different, and the ai is very forgetful and doesn’t remember previous statements. The AI isn’t intelligent and no matter how good of a meal I show it, the app says it’s not good enough or consider adding this and when I add that thing it suggests it says that what I added brings my score down. But it’s still good at tracking calories and data so that’s good.

### 3/5 — Gets it done but weird quirks

*2025-12-28*

The AI is helpful and I have lost weight a bit following the calculations but this app has some programmatic issues. Firstly if you’re losing weight faster than the chart it reads as a gain. Additionally the database is absolutely horrible, though it appears to be getting better.

### 2/5 — Scammmmm

*2025-12-02, version 1.24.3*

I literally just got the app, was told I’d get a 7 day free trial and was charged. I don’t have any money in my account and am now negative over $100. I’m so annoyed, feel like I have to use this stupid app now.

### 4/5 — good but why glitching

*2025-09-09, version 1.23.0*

this is a good app, very motivational and good calorie tracker. my only issue is that it keeps glitching when i open the app and suddenly nothing is working and all my data is gone. i tried turning my phone on and off and it still didn’t work. so plz fix it.

### 2/5 — keeps changing my calorie budget

*2025-08-26*

i’ve been liking this app so far, but it keeps changing my calorie budget. it’s now way too low for what i want it to be, and i can’t customize it because then i’ll have to pay money 🫠 also when you update your weight, it changes the budget A LOT which is not ideal, because as a woman, my weight fluctuates a ton. I started logging when i was in my luteal phase, so i was bloated and weighed a bit more. when i started my period like two days later, i tried to update my weight and the app changed my budget calories back to my maintenance. since then ive just not been putting my weight in, but then today it randomly changed again. it’s honestly really disappointing to see an app supposedly made for women be so unreliable.

### 3/5 — Trimmi

*2025-08-12*

I liked the app a lot then these new updates come and it drives the app to the ground. I used to search up fast food items for whenever I’m out and don’t cook my food and Trimmi would have any item from any fast food restaurant. Now it doesnt pop up. Also when I scan the barcode of foods Trimmi would have it pop up with no problems and now I just get the error message every time I try to use the barcode feature.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you've experienced with searching and scanning barcode. We are actively working to expand our food database. In the meantime, you might find it helpful to try using MealScan, which can assist you in recording your food items more efficiently. We appreciate your patience and value your continued support. If you have any further questions or concerns, we warmly welcome you to contact our support team at support@trimmi.ai ❤️.

### 3/5 — Love hate relationship

*2025-08-09*

I honestly have been living for this app, it has helped me loose 44 pounds and counting and just helps me keep track of everything. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because recently anytime I use the barcode scanner it tells me it can’t find the item and I have to put it all in manually. Which wouldn’t be a problem except it’s been doing it on things that used to just pop up through the app and now it no longer can find those items. When I’m on a time crunch I don’t have time to make food items but I also need to have things traced so it’s extremely frustrating

### 3/5 — Suggestion

*2025-07-22, version 1.19.0*

I think it’s cute but I REALLY don’t think you should have the little emoji guy up top vomit when I go over calories for the day… I think that’s a little insensitive and honestly disturbing considering the context.

### 4/5 — New Update

*2025-06-19, version 1.17.0*

Really think this app is useful and easy to use. I liked how the activity would update data from apple health. But ever since the new version it doesn’t seem to update any more. Do I have to enter the exercise data manually now? There are options to enter manually but I found it way more useful when it would take the data from the health app.

### 3/5 — Ehhhh

*2025-06-11, version 1.16.1*

First of all, the Ai chat bot is annoying. Overall it’s a simple app. Too simple. Adding foods feature is a pain. You add to one category and doesn’t show up in your other options. The dashboard views are ok. Could be better. I hardly write reviews but I had to for this one.

### 3/5 — Love it but needs work.

*2025-06-05*

I have been struggling with weight for a while and I haven’t found a good able to let me know how many calories I have eaten and burned. This app helps with that but it also doesn’t allow me to edit food. I got a beefy-5-layer burrito from Taco Bell but I changed the beef to chicken. In the app I wasn’t able to changed what I ate. I also wish we could manually put in what we ate because I make a lot of my own homemade dishes.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. We're delighted that you're enjoying Trimmi. We offer the functionality for you to create your own personalized food entries in the "My Food" section. Subsequently, you will be able to locate these entries through the search feature. If you have any further questions or concerns, we warmly welcome you to contact our support team at support@trimmi.ai . We truly appreciate your patience and continued support❤️.

### 4/5 — Everything great minus the Apple health sync.

*2025-06-02, version 1.16.0*

I like the app and it is nicely designed. Everything works well minus the barcode scanner but I imagine this is as people haven’t added items yet. Typing in what you’ve eaten or using the camera works great. One thing that doesn’t seem to sync is with apple health. I did a 4 hour workout and it didn’t sync after turning on all the requirements and various refreshes. Then a workout from the day before came in but not the long one. Other than this I’m really enjoying, it’s a great app and worth it if you don’t worry about adding in workouts.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Getting ads while in a subscription

*2026-07-10, version 2.2.0*

Why am I getting ads when I paid for a subscription? Is this a glitch?

### 1/5 — Used to love it

*2026-06-15, version 2.2.0*

I used to love this app. Now it won’t let you do anything without adds unless you sign up for premium and premium is so expensive really not worth it

### 1/5 — Emoji makes a vomiting face if your calorie intake is too high!!This is VERY hurtful!

*2025-10-14, version 1.24.0*

I recently started using the app about two months ago. It has been a help in the past for me to gain more control over my eating habits but recently I started noticing what the emoji does if you go over your budget by too much… the emoji will show itself vomiting as your calorie intake gets to high…. For me it’s starts doing this action after about 200-300 calories over my budget. The emoji doing this is very hurtful and honestly makes me feel horrible as I struggle with eating within my calorie budget. This emoji has both decreased my mental health and made me question if I should even be eating or not (when I should be eating). I definitely DO NOT recommend this app!!!!!!!!!

### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2025-08-08, version 1.21.0*

Not very easy to use, doesn’t contain most food items you really have to search for them. Fitness pal is a definite win for me when it comes to tracking, so much easier to use and updates your steps as you go through the day. Waste of time this one

### 1/5 — Scam

*2025-07-12, version 1.18.0*

I put in for the seven day free trial and was charged the full subscription just a day in. SCAM. Read the fine print. The offer for the free trial is a setup 100%

Update. I have sent several emails regarding the above issue and have had no response. Terrible customer service

### 1/5 — Not free with purchases in app, so annoying

*2025-06-24, version 1.17.0*

It’s supposed to be free but you get prompts to buy the app every 10 seconds

### 1/5 — Do not download

*2025-06-02, version 1.16.0*

They stole 63 dollars out of my account that I didn’t subscribe to and won’t give me a refund

### 1/5 — SCAMMERS

*2025-05-25, version 1.15.0*

do not recommend downloading this app they just steal you information and calories aren’t accurate at all download fitness pal or deepeat instead

### 1/5 — Fake AI ads

*2025-05-04, version 1.14.1*

This app uses footage of guests on podcasts, and uses ai to change what the guest actually said to promote their app.

### 1/5 — Terrible DO NOT GET

*2025-04-26, version 1.14.0*

They charged me for a $60 yearly subscription without me knowing and now I can’t get my money back. It wasn’t even worth the free version definitely NOT worth $60. You are wasting your time with this app.

### 5/5 — i love this

*2025-07-18, version 1.19.0*

i spent so long looking for an app that didnt require me to pay, and i found it! i love this app so much, the only thing is i wish we could scan our meal for free. otherwise i love this app!!

### 5/5 — Love

*2025-06-13, version 1.17.0*

Not really a fan of the update. I have to keep swiping to see how many carbs, fat and protein I have left whereas the old layout was already on the homepage. I think the old layout was classic and perfect the way it was, please go back to that or at least an option to change it back.
Still love the app and the fact you can customize how many calories, proteins you want.

### 5/5 — More of a question?

*2025-05-14*

Does this app only take out 5 dollars a month or will I get 60 dollars taken out of my bank account after the free trials over?

### 5/5 — very good app!

*2025-04-22*

i just started using this app about 4-5 days ago. along with tracking calories i’ve been workout into too. so keep that in mind. at the beginning of last week my favorite pair of shorts were getting to small around my waist. that’s when i downloaded this app. i’m now today wearing those same shorts and they’re getting a bit too big on me!! this app is so helpful. definitely recommend.

### 5/5 — I love CalCut - excellent app to have!

*2025-04-17, version 1.13.1*

I have been using CalCut since 25th of December 2024 and have lost over 10kg with 7 more to go. I love the fact that it’s on a server that updates lighting fast between devices as I use it on my iPad too when my phone battery dies on my old iPhone 6s. The scanner is amazing as well as the AI nutritionist and I am looking forward to more features like food ingredients that could be harmful or safe to consume. The food library is vast and the features of being able to change between losing weight and maintain the weight is also a great feature to have. Amaze me CalCut support and bring features that no other app has all together under one roof. Love you for the effort you have put so far on this gem. Kyriakos x

### 5/5 — So accessible

*2025-04-12, version 1.13.0*

My phone has been stuck at iOS 15.4 since it won’t download the next update and it’s always been saying error. I’ve been meaning to get the update to start calorie counting since you usually need iOS 16.0 to download those apps but with CalCut, I didn’t have to. I was so happy!

Please continue making it accessible to old grannies like me who’s phone won’t update 😭
