### 2/5 — Often stuck

*2026-07-25, version 1.9.0*

After you search an item in your history, the app just froze and you have to swipe it away and re-enter everything.

### 4/5 — Summary needs fixed

*2026-07-06, version 1.9.0*

Love this all but unfortunately when clicking on the summary details of what you have eaten today it is coming up with an error. Has been doing this for a couple weeks now.

### 4/5 — Worth it!

*2026-07-06, version 1.9.0*

To Start off, This is a great app. Worth the money. I would like the AI to be a little more accurate. I find myself using Gemini or ChatGPT, and then just logging the macros on this app. Also, a useful feature that I would like to see is to be able to log meals for the next day or the whole week. It would help with meal prepping

### 3/5 — Love it but data capture has been off

*2026-07-04, version 1.9.0*

I’ve been using the app for a long time, but recently the barcode scanner almost never works anymore, even with very common, popular foods. Additionally, when I use the nutrition capture feature or describe a food manually, the app frequently populates incorrect nutritional information that doesn’t match what I entered. It feels like it’s pulling pre-filled data from the database and forcing it onto my entry, which ends up corrupting my nutrition tracking. Accurate tracking is one of the main reasons I use the app, so this has become very frustrating. I’d really appreciate an update that improves barcode recognition and ensures manual nutrition capture uses the information the user actually provides instead of overriding it with potentially incorrect database entries. Thank you!

### 4/5 — Great except for today

*2026-06-21, version 1.8.9*

Strange! This app has been great but starting today it keeps reporting an internal error and it won’t photograph for the AI function (which is what I use mainly)
The camera/phone is working fine. Can you fix please?
(Couldn’t find the help Support)

### 2/5 — Keep on Getting Internal Error

*2026-06-20, version 1.8.9*

The apps this past few days are not stable and i keep getting internal error when I scan my food.

### 3/5 — Starbucks?

*2026-06-17, version 1.8.9*

How is Starbucks an "A" item? Makes me wonder how accurate the other items are that I'm logging.

### 2/5 — Just sharing user’s experiences!I don’t want everyone to waste your money.

*2026-06-16, version 1.8.9*

This app still needs some precision. I think it would be more convenient if you could add something that could fix the missing ingredients and details. If you could fix those things, I think it would be a better software than it is now.

### 4/5 — Extremely helpful but…

*2026-06-14, version 1.8.9*

If I have any problem with this, it’s that if you make an adjustment with eating out, you should be able to add that adjustment to the list. Example, if you eat some fast food, but you don’t put the sauce on or something to that effect you should be able to edit that to get a more accurate calorie count. It’s probably another app for that, but I don’t think anybody wants 3 to 7 apps for this.

### 3/5 — Not accurate

*2026-05-25, version 1.8.9*

It’s a nice app, but not fully accurate even though it says powered by AI it doesn’t give you the right calories for most of the stuff you have to manually do AI feature is not that advance. But at least it keeps you in control of the calories. Intake

### 2/5 — “Free” option doesn’t work; keeps offering paid update

*2026-05-23, version 1.8.9*

It’s a decent app for pay the annual rate but they supposedly offer a free version to track food and calories - except their ad pushing the paid version keeps getting in the way, making the “free” version unusable.

### 3/5 — App is ok. Support is terrible.

*2026-05-13, version 1.8.8*

App is ok but no Australian foods. AI food detection and summaries aren’t too bad, assuming they’re correct. Support is an automated robot response that doesn’t see the eyes of a real human and is like talking to an automated feedback loop that ends up in the digital abyss.

### 2/5 — Not good/ Suggest to stay away

*2026-05-12, version 1.8.8*

I strongly recommend against this product. I’ve used it for a number of months, the bar code reading is highly inaccurate, their food item database apparently insufficient. When the product does come up it often does not align with the nutrition label of the actual product. The measure of food such as grams, milliliter, cup, scoop, etc., often does not lineup with the product measures themselves. The AI look up feature is also often inaccurate as it sometimes lists item that are not actually in the meal, or wrong quantities but simply added to it. I could go on…

### 3/5 — Türkçee

*2026-05-07, version 1.8.8*

Lütfen türkçe dil desteği getirin artık kullanamıyoruz bu şekilde

### 3/5 — Just sharing user’s experiences!

*2026-04-25, version 1.8.8*

This app still needs some precision. I think it would be more convenient if you could add something that could fix the missing ingredients and details. If you could fix those things, I think it would be a better software than it is now.

### 2/5 — Isabella

*2026-04-19, version 1.8.8*

I’m not going to buy premium all of it needs to be free

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — New update

*2026-08-11, version 1.9.0*

Everything has completely changed since the new update. Calorie recognition is always off, preloaded bar codes have been removed and have changed. It has drastically decreased in accuracy and quality.

### 1/5 — Fix bugs asap

*2026-07-27, version 1.9.0*

Bug: the app stopped recognizing my subscription. The sub is active and set to expire in 2027. Restore function did nothing in the app

### 1/5 — Not accurate

*2026-07-23, version 1.9.0*

The the amounts and the calories Are not accurate at all. Even when you scan the actual product and especially when you use the Ai scanner.

### 1/5 — Consider the poor

*2026-07-08, version 1.9.0*

I had this app on my old phone. It was great and let me logged everything without asking for subscription. I don’t know if there’s a new update or something, but the only thing it lets me do is create single foods, but even then it takes a lot of time throughout my day that is wasted in typing in every single little nutrition thing that I thought this app would do for me. If I try anything else, it will ask if I want to apply for a subscription that I don’t have the money for.

### 1/5 — Bogus

*2026-07-01, version 1.9.0*

Do not waste your time. Nothing in it is free, not even the scanner. Other apps have them for free. Skip this one

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2026-06-28, version 1.9.0*

Used this app all last year and it worked great until I renewed my subscription. Now everything I take a photo of a food label the calories do not match the photo and are off by 5-10 calories. I have tried everything to make sure that it’s not something on my end and it’s still off. Makes me wonder if the AI plate scanner is off too. I don’t trust it now and will have to move to another app.

### 1/5 — Has problems

*2026-06-19, version 1.8.9*

It used to work until it didn't. Deleted the App hoping it would fix it, it lost all of my data. Cannot understand how someone develops an App, that if deleted for having problems, the data is lost. USELESS.

### 1/5 — Was good

*2026-06-09, version 1.8.9*

They just started charging you a yearly fee. How odd! It was good until this happened.

### 1/5 — Money

*2026-05-19, version 1.8.8*

I get the app and immediately I thought it was good because I thought I didn’t have to pay money to track my calories but I guess to use it I HAVE to pay

### 1/5 — Inaccurate product and calories.

*2026-05-05, version 1.8.8*

It is basically ppl using the app building the items and calories . There doesn’t seem to be an accountability for accuracy. So I don’t find it helpful when I am doing the research for product and recreating an entry work

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Feature Request: Monthly Weight Tracking & Progress Photos ⭐

*2026-08-02, version 1.9.0*

Hi! I really enjoy using your app, and I have a few feature suggestions that I think would make it even better.

I love that we can see the monthly average calorie intake. It would be amazing if you could add the same type of monthly tracking for body weight. Right now, weight is only shown weekly, which isn’t very helpful for seeing long-term progress. A weekly and monthly weight graph would be much more useful.

Another feature I’d absolutely love is a progress photo section. It would be great if users could take or upload photos at the beginning and end of each month to compare their body composition over time. Sometimes the scale doesn’t change much, but photos show real progress.

These features would make the app so much more complete, and I honestly wouldn’t need a separate app anymore.

If you add these features, I’ll happily keep my subscription and recommend your app to everyone I know. Thank you for creating such a great app, and I hope you’ll consider these ideas!

### 5/5 — Fabulous

*2026-07-27, version 1.9.0*

Easy to operate and greatest app I have ever used!!! 5 Stars!!🎉🎉

### 5/5 — disappointed

*2026-07-22, version 1.9.0*

This app is impossible to use with out paying their yearly fees. At this point, might as well make the app pay to download.

### 5/5 — eato

*2026-04-18, version 1.8.8*

best apps

### 5/5 — 💯

*2026-03-18, version 1.8.6*

Eato is a calorie-tracking app that I’ve been using primarily for weight control, maintaining a healthy BMI, and overall well-being. I started 28 days ago—initially achieving a 6-day streak with a 500-calorie daily deficit. I did go over budget one Sunday when we ate out, but since then, I’ve maintained a 21-day streak with a 700-calorie daily deficit.

So far, I’ve lost 2.9 kg.

What I like most is its AI-powered calorie estimation. When it can’t recognize certain foods (which happens sometimes with Filipino dishes), you can easily search and log them manually. It can also scan nutrition labels, which makes tracking even more convenient.

Another great feature is that it adjusts your calorie allowance when you exercise, so you can still enjoy treats—whether it’s a brownie, lechon, or dessert—without feeling guilty.

The results have been impressive: I no longer snore, my acid reflux is gone, and I just feel better overall. Surprisingly, I don’t even feel hungry.

Highly recommended.

### 5/5 — loss weight and food scanning for calorie deficit

*2026-03-03, version 1.8.6*

very helpful and informative for food consumption and scheduling of meal plan

### 5/5 — A

*2026-02-16, version 1.8.6*

A

### 5/5 — Does what it says on the tin

*2026-02-01, version 1.8.4*

I came back from holiday in May 25 and I was a gnats nut under 16 stone. I know the calorie counts aren’t spot on but they’re close enough. I also know that my weekly pub meal and pint will put the over but I’m good with that. In six months I lost 2 and a half stone, then I went to India, oh my god the food is awesome, then Christmas and I had reversed my trend. Currently, Jan 26, I’m a gnats under 13 stone and headed downward again. It’s easy eat, track and don’t close the circle.

### 5/5 — Turkish language

*2026-01-02, version 1.8.0*

Uygulamayı çok beğendim Türkçe dil desteğı gelirse kullanmak isterim

### 5/5 — Getting better but great before

*2025-12-15, version 1.7.7*

I like Eato a lot. It is easy to track a food to any meal no matter when it is eaten. Bar code is steadily improving the volume of products it detects. AI is great too. Works well, no glitches that I have found. After one year of use, I will renew! I like the encouragement to watch for trends that are not healthy, such as salt intake.
