## What is EB Movies?

EB Movies is a simple, free way to remember what you watch and what you thought of it.

Search any film, rate it, and write two kinds of review side by side: private notes just for you, and a public review you can share with everyone else using the app.

- Search films powered by The Movie Database (TMDb) — posters, plot, cast and release year.
- Rate from 0 to 5 stars, with half-star precision.
- Deep private notes for film buffs: director, production company, budget, genre, subgenre, themes & symbolism, atmosphere & craft, hook, premise, what worked, spoilers, ending explained, verdict and more. Several fields are auto-filled from TMDb to save you time.
- Public reviews: share a headline, a review and your rating with the whole EB Movies community.
- See the EB Movies community average rating for each film, right next to your own.
- iCloud sync: your reviews follow you across your own devices — start on iPhone, continue on iPad.
- Export and import your reviews as a backup file, so you're always in control of your data.
- Review a film straight from the Movies tab, and edit your reviews from anywhere.
- Your archive, always sorted and searchable.
- One review per film — edit it any time.

PRIVATE VS PUBLIC

Your private notes are never shared. Only the public review you choose to write — your display name, headline, review text and rating — is visible to other users. You're always in control.
