## What is Ebi Jump?

C, E, G. Step on three notes in a row and you've played a chord.

Ebi Jump is a music action game about climbing. Plates float in the sky with note names written on them. Step on them in the order that spells a chord, and the way opens upward.

■ Chord shapes, learned by playing

Each island teaches one chord. Notes are shown by degree — root, 3rd, 5th, 7th — so you start to recognise the same shape in any key. You don't need to read music. Your ears and fingers do the learning.

■ Fourteen islands, fourteen sounds

From the simple triads of the first island to the chromatic steps of Shadow Isle and the minor colours of Witch Isle. The chords thicken as you climb, and before long you're stepping through 7ths and inversions.

■ Every island has a keeper

The stall owner, the drunkard, the thief, the cook, the witch. Meet an island's keeper and you face it with chords. Beat it and its trading card is yours — thirteen in all.

■ Alone, whenever you like

No connection needed. An island takes about a minute. One island on the way there, one on the way back.

■ Sound is the point

On iPhone, switch off silent mode. Headphones recommended.

New stage: Ear Copy

A piano plays a short melody. Play it back on the keyboard. The trick is to follow the rise and fall by ear. One wrong note and the phrase starts over - and the example plays again, so you always get another listen. The button in the corner replays it whenever you want.

Four categories - steps, leaps, longer phrases, and starting anywhere - stay on the white keys and are free to play. Beyond them are categories that use the black keys, plus well-known melodies from Twinkle Twinkle to Fur Elise: over 500 phrases in all. The home note is a button you can press any time, so you can find your bearings again whenever the key slips away.

Polyrhythm feels better under the fingers
Pads light up the moment you press them, and their colour tells you whether the hit landed.

Fixed: Background animation setting had no effect on two stages
Scale and Arpeggio kept moving even with the setting turned off.

Fixed: Three cards showed their internal names in the card reordering screen
