But the last update came with a big issue, I can no longer swipe between the pages of my documents, I must first zoom by pinching my finger to the screen. I can still turn the page by tapping the side, but this is difficult for one handed use. Please fix! The app only shows about half of them, from A to M. According to iTunes, the other books are there, but they don't show up in the app's directory and can't be accessed. Also cannot click links. Very disappointed. ### 1/5 — Waste of money *2017-04-18, version 3.5* I'm frankly insulted the developer even charges for this. As far as customisation goes, it's pathetic. No ability to set margins, read in vertical scrolling mode, disable two page spread... If you need fine control over your reading then give this a miss. This would annoy me if it was free but it's definitely not worth the £1.99 charged. 99p maybe, if the developer really needed to charge, but I've seen better reader apps for free. I only tried this because it supports rtf/txt which I need. ### 1/5 — Urgh! *2016-03-30, version 3.4* I’m on my fourth or fifth ebook reader. I went for this one because it handled both epub and mobi files. So I loaded a dozen of each. Every blasted file open, epub or mobi, throws an error message, telling me to delete the cache. I do that, reopen the file, and the same error pops up. Can I get a refund? This is certainly yet ready for prime time. ### 1/5 — Corrupts a line every few paragraphs *2015-10-30, version 3.4* I purchased it and it could open all my books which was great, however every couple of paragraphs it would jumble the words in a sentence. I thought my files were corrupt but I purchased another app and can now read them. And it did not work. ### 1/5 — Basic Mobi Ebook Reader *2014-02-21, version 3.2* Compared to apps like Kindle and iBooks this is a very basic reader. I imported though GoodReader a few books with links (table of contents, XRefs, etc.) I can read the books fine, but the links do not work. They do work in Kindle (as Mobi) or in iBooks (converted to Epub using Calibre). Also, downloading the dictionary is not that straight forward. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Long time user *2023-10-12* I’ve been using this app for a very very long time. Ever since I upgraded to iOS 17, it hasn’t working exactly right since then. Any chances for it to be rectified? ### 5/5 — Dictionary not as good as iReader Study *2017-05-28, version 3.5* For many years I have used the same authors iReader Study on my ipod from 2009. This app had the disadvantage that it came with a huge package of dictionaries which rather clogged up the then small storage,but it was well worth it. With iphone 5se the old app seems to drain a lot of battery and ios asks one to check for updates which do not exist. eBookMobi is pretty much exactly the same as iReader Study except that one has to download individual dictionaries which inititially is an advantage, though with storage being less of an issue nowadays, the benefit seems small. In particular, the Spanish to English dictionary, though having the same appearance, seems to have lost the the wider usage of a word in relation to different meanings and examples. It's a bit of a shame that one has to buy a new app that is the repacaged old one, but it really - suprisibly - seems to be the only reader app that has a - still - decent offline dictionary. ### 5/5 — Reads anything, stays away from the more invasive 'clouds' *2015-11-06, version 3.4* Your data, you control it. It is very versatile it has many different font options and you can change the brightness by just running your finger up and down on the screen.
