Shopping online is changing. The EBS CardManager app will give you added security when shopping online. The app allows you to securely authenticate your purchases when using your EBS debit card to shop online. From February 2021 onwards, when you shop online with your EBS debit card we will apply an extra layer of security and you will need to authenticate the transaction using the EBS CardManager app. This extra security layer is where we apply what is known as Strong Customer Authentication (SCA). This helps fight fraudsters and further protect online transactions. Here is what you need to do: 1. Download this EBS CardManager app. 2. Open the EBS CardManager app. You will be prompted on screen to enter your date of birth and your mobile number. 3. We will then ask you to authenticate your mobile phone by ringing our customer care number displayed on screen and providing a code word sent to your phone. A member of our customer care team will ask you to read this code word out, and this will authenticate your phone. This will link your phone and the app to your EBS debit card. Quite simply the worst banking ap I’ve ever seen ### 1/5 — EBS need major improvement *2022-03-28* It’s 2022 and still need to be on hold for hours to sort out the verification procedure. EBS, a solution for you - have everything in one app and stop wasting peoples time having them call and be on hold for hours to verify the phone number. Verify with an email message or direct message to said phone number! Come on guys up your game! I’ve wasted so much time and money calling from overseas to try get the number verified. And still, the matter has not been solved! 🤷🏻‍♂️ ### 1/5 — what a ridiculous app *2021-10-27* I have tried for over a week to have my US tel# accepted in the app. Called Ebs support was in hold for 1 1/2 hours. was told it was sorted and again tel number not accepted. This shouldn't be this difficult ### 1/5 — Not great *2021-05-25, version 3.12* Tends to be very slow when it works and mostly doesn’t work at all. Don’t understand why this couldn’t have been combined with the other EBS app, not particularly well thought through.
