Finally was able to create the account. App seems simple enough. ### 3/5 — It’s ok *2026-08-27, version 4.0.0* I just updated to the new version and it’s just alright.. it doesn’t show you your pending transactions the old app would show you the night before so you can view your benefits this new version doesn’t do that unfortunately. Everytime I go to make one and have them send me a verification code via phone number or email it ALWAYS says “unknown error” sooo????? My benefits show up at a different day each month and now I have no clue when they’ll arrive due to deposit tracking no longer being available. ### 1/5 — Data Mining App *2026-08-25, version 4.0.0* The app is used for data mining. More personal information is requested for an account than legally required or advisable. TOS allows developer to share your information with third parties, such as Walmart. If you value your privacy and dislike data brokers, don’t get this app. ### 2/5 — Stop using AI *2026-08-25, version 4.0.0* stop using AI it looks so busted. How hard is it to find stock photos of groceries in brown paper bags, and a basket full of food c’mon now. ### 2/5 — Fatal Flaws *2026-08-25, version 4.0.0* The multi-factor process to verify my phone number doesn’t work properly. When I input my cellphone number, the system responded immediately, but when typing in the code, the system responded by “unable to copy from database.” I didn’t copy & paste, I typed in the number. Providing feedback is not easy with this app. ### 4/5 — Push Notifications Grayed Out. *2026-08-22, version 4.0.0* Love the new interface however push notifications are grayed out I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and push stays grayed out would really prefer to get my notifications by push instead of number or email. Other than that great app. ### 1/5 — Exceedingly poor rebuild *2026-08-22, version 4.0.0* If the ebt system is so invested in people using the freeze-your-card feature to reduce account theft, they need to make the feature easily accessible in the app. It was a top level feature in the old app, now you have to dig around in the app to find the screen to unfreeze the account and when you’re finished you have to go somewhere else to freeze it again. Totally unnecessary and disincentivizing the use of the freeze feature. This should be fixed at the earliest opportunity. ### 1/5 — NOPE *2026-08-21, version 4.0.0* Not as good as the classic app. Has ads we don’t need and doesn’t tell you when upcoming benefits are available. First is my iPad which is working fine and easy setup. Second is my iPhone which is not working properly due couldn’t login because of (balances, purchase and etc) was covered over the sign in that was not able to do. This need fixed now ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — App Wouldn’t Allow Me to Verify Account Created With My Phone Number *2026-08-28, version 4.0.1* I downloaded the new app as instructed. Every time I tried to make a new account, I got stuck on the “verification” page. There were no options to verify my identity even though I had provided both my phone number and email address. I tried using the website instead of the app and had the same problems. I’m writing a negative review because I cannot find support for the app even within the app. The “support” button takes you to a list of each state’s SNAP page. Nothing that is actually app support. I don’t know if this is a good app or not, it will not let me use it. ### 1/5 — Login loop *2026-08-28, version 4.0.1* This app won't let me log into an account that I already have, because my contact methods are already in use. I feel as though that's obvious, I have an account and want to use it in this app but it won't let me move past that login step. It obviously is the official app as I linked to it thru the website. Our family has several cards and the app makes it so much easier than the old website to be able to see all the balances at once instead of trying to toggle between the accounts. This is such a convenient upgrade!!! It was also convenient because I didn’t have to add any accounts.
