Stevie wonder could develop a better UI. First of all - You need a ESB card to charge ur car. U can’t use contactless payment. You have to ring them, wait in the queue, give your payment details over the phone, hope you have your physical bank card on you, they then start it and you have to ring them AGAIN to finish the charge. The app is horrendous to use to find a charger near you. But it shows you chargers 25 miles away that are irrelevant. Would give minus stars at this rate. ### 1/5 — Esb charging apps *2025-04-18* Awful app with no card only payment option to use esb chargers. There is more than 1 app available that you have to pre load with money with no indication of which is the correct one. I downloaded the wrong one first and now have money on it. They take a lot of info from you, also would be very easy to accidentally sign up to a monthly payment option too. The app search function doesn’t work - I have managed to successfully charge using it but by chance each time. This is the kind of thing that puts people off electric cars. Would choose 0 stars if possible. ### 1/5 — Poor experience and network *2025-03-26* Searching doesn’t find the nearest charger, you can’t filter by speed, only charger socket. Network is pretty poor. Don’t bother until they’ve got a better network. ### 1/5 — By far the worst charging network app *2025-02-16* This app is just woeful. The UI is weird. It’s hard to find the map, I only ever do it by accident. The function to show you the nearest charger doesn’t work, it only shows one and it usually isn’t the nearest. You can be standing next to a charger and it doesn’t come up. The search function is stupid because it’s world wide. If I’m using this app I probably don’t want to search for somewhere in Egypt, but that’s the top result when I search for a local shopping centre. Hard to imagine how you could do a worse job. Update: it’s even worse than I thought. I recently wanted to check charger availability so uses a suggested search for a recently used charger. Not found. I struggled to do the verification part and couldn’t start the charging process . I ended up going somewhere else to charge the car. This would be a zero star rating if it could be. ### 1/5 — Worst app / charger combo in 2024 *2024-06-02* Had an electric car since 2017 and driven electric in 7 countries. This is prob the worst. Avoid if possible. Chargepoint. Rejected my smart cars. Refused contactless. Had poor instructions. Super loud when charging. App: no web version. Ridiculous long sign up process asking loads pointless info. Disabled auto complete on forms. No Apple Pay. 20€ minimum payment. ### 1/5 — Car *2024-05-04* It don’t have a kgm korando e motion ### 1/5 — Awful. Predatory. *2023-08-02* This app is horrendous. Firstly, you can’t just use contactless on their chargers (as is about to be required by law). The app is god awful. You have to go through all manner of details just to make payment, only to find it won’t work and you get stuck in a death loop. It doesn’t save details, doesn’t accept apple or google pay. If there are issues, you have to start from the beginning. Their only memberships are 12mo minimum(!) or £20 min top up. AWFUL. Predatory.
