### 4/5 — Amazing!

*2026-08-02*

I switched to this app after Musicboard started glitching and the community began leaving. So I decided to go here. I think its very easy to use and I love the layout. I joined pretty early, so I got to use and see parts of this app that suddenly got locked behind a paywall. I don’t have a problem with that except for one part. You have to pay a subscription to put albums that are missing.. if this is an app to rate music I wouldn’t want to pay to rate albums I listened to! But that’s my ONLY complaint. Everything else about this app is amazing and I’m so happy I switched to it :D also there aren’t that many pretentious, mean people here compared to OTHER music apps… cough cough RYM.

### 3/5 — So close to perf

*2026-06-28, version 1.3.6*

Please, fix the keyboard. I have an iPhone 11 and often times the keyboard when logging in cover the enter button. It makes things so so so so difficult to even get into the app. Ugh, other than that, and a few minor bugs, it’s wonderful.

### 5/5 — Letterboxd for Music

*2026-06-11, version 1.3.5*

Ive tried a bunch of apps/forums like this but they were all severely lacking. Echo meets all my needs and then some. It’s the only social media I really keep up with and I’ve found the community there to be really wholesome and supportive. Developer is very responsive and frequently communicates with the user base and taking feedback. For an app like this, I feel like it’s increasingly rare. I would recommend this to really anybody that loves music

### 5/5 — Very Good!!!

*2026-06-03*

Probably the best music ranking app I've ever used. It does exactly what I need it to.

### 4/5 — Amazing App!

*2026-05-21, version 1.3.4*

Other than the occasional minor glitch or bug, this app is exactly what a music ranking app should look like!

### 4/5 — Good… but missing music?

*2026-05-20*

This is a fantastic app, a brilliant idea, and something that I can imagine will grow with more users, which will enhance the experience. However, when looking for songs, certain albums that I listen to, aren’t on there… is there only a limited selection of music thus far, or is this it? As I have a relatively mainstream music taste, so was surprised to see some things weren’t on the app!

### 5/5 — Best music rating app out there

*2026-05-20, version 1.3.3*

Recent updates have fixed a lot of the issues for it being a single developer it’s really well made

### 5/5 — 10/10

*2026-05-19, version 1.3.3*

This app has the best, most genuine music community on the internet, the ui is great, and the creator actually listens to the community and adds requested features. One of the best apps I have

### 5/5 — Exactly what I’ve been looking for!

*2026-05-07, version 1.3.3*

Has every feature one would need and a very engaging community

### 5/5 — 2nd Listen Ranking

*2026-05-05, version 1.3.3*

Love this app and this is just a suggestion but I’d love the ability to post a double ranking of an album or song based on the second listen so I can see what’s changed and what grew on me.

### 5/5 — Must have for music enthusiasts

*2026-05-04*

I’ve been using this app for about a month and can honestly say that it has been one of those apps that I open up immediately in the morning. I’ve always loved music, and the effortless way of ranking that echo provides makes it easy to get up every morning and rank what you listen to. I find joy in having my music organized and ranked. The community is amazing and is extremely active. I often see the same people always online ranking as well as newcomers every day. There’s never any hostility and usually you’ll have people agreeing with your take. Overall really cool app.

### 3/5 — Cool app but graphic glitches

*2026-04-30, version 1.3.3*

Really cool app and it’s my favourite music reviewing platform compared to other but i was jus wondering if anybody else had this same problem as me. All the album covers on the front page are very glitchy and grainy do some reason i’m not sure why but it’s only some of the albums. Also i wish-when making collections- that you could choose and song you want and not just the ones you have already ranked; i think that’s probably my biggest problem with it.

### 5/5 — fire app

*2026-04-30, version 1.3.3*

follow @playboicarti

### 5/5 — the most fun I’ve had on a music app in forever!!

*2026-04-20, version 1.3.2*

So many thoughtful users contributing thoughtful, fun and sometimes rage-inducing takes. But what’s a music app without rage inducing takes!?! Anyway, the design is great for what it is. The fact that the rewards are gamified and not a straight buy-out only increases the fun. Join, contribute, you’ll have a good time. Much love to the dev!

### 5/5 — Incredibly fun app

*2026-04-16, version 1.3.1*

And it’s only getting better. It can have issues, but the team is small and the vision is great.

### 5/5 — Love you uty!

*2026-04-11, version 1.3.1*

Utys dev btw. Fantastic app, very interactive community where you can share and expand your music knowledge.

### 5/5 — Best Music Review App

*2026-04-07, version 1.3.1*

Love it!!!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Used to be great! Creator is ruining it!

*2026-08-05, version 1.3.7*

I loved this app, until it was put behind a pay wall and the features it showcased such as ranking your own albums disappeared behind paywall junk. Search for another app if you genuinely love music. This person must genuinely love money and have too much of it to spend on features nobody wants or asks for.

### 1/5 — Mediocre App, focus on paid features

*2026-07-08, version 1.3.6*

None of these social music apps will ever work with how they lock basic features behind subscriptions.

### 1/5 — Useless unless you listen to Rap and R & B

*2026-04-12, version 1.3.1*

Complete waste of time, I signed up added 22 bands and some albums and it went right to junky forums discussing Rap and sex. What a terrible app and completely misled what I thought it could be

### 1/5 — Scam Data Collection

*2026-02-06, version 1.2.8*

Enter my phone number to create an account? Not happening. Anyone signing up this way with no way around it should expect a wave of spam calls following it. This app is just a data collection trap.

### 1/5 — Crashes

*2025-11-09, version 1.2.6*

It crashes every 30 seconds or so

### 1/5 — Invasive and intrusive app

*2025-10-10, version 1.2.5*

They demand your phone number, having notifications on and access to your contacts list. What kind of garbage is this?

### 1/5 — Literally Unusable

*2025-08-28, version 1.2.5*

I can’t even sign up because the page to add your phone number covers half the screen and there’s no continue button. Was excited to try this, but I’ve tried everything and I can’t even get into the app.

### 1/5 — Creating Account Impossible

*2025-08-17, version 1.2.5*

The concept is cool and all but it would probably be better if clicking ‘get started’ didn’t lead to a prompt halfway off the screen and if the keyboard for the next section wasn’t locked and taking up the portion of the screen where you would click ‘continue.’

### 1/5 — cant rank anything

*2025-06-09, version 1.2.3*

i literally cant even use the app. ive made an account and stuff but anytime i try to rank ANYTHING even when i did the onboarding process my app crashes.

### 1/5 — Registration requires phone number!

*2025-06-08, version 1.2.3*

Come on, this is a new app and a social network. It’s 2025, no one is going to believe this isn’t just another scammy app that collects user data (and numbers) like Facebook! Let me sign up with Apple sign-in. I’m not going to give you my phone number, period.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — fun!!

*2026-08-12, version 1.3.8*

awesome

### 5/5 — best app ever

*2026-08-05, version 1.3.7*

best app ever

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2026-08-04, version 1.3.7*

I tried some other apps and was so disappointed that I started concepting my own app. Eventually I got an ad for this app that basically matched my exact vision for what I wanted from a music rating app. Everything about it is very sleek and user friendly.

### 5/5 — awesome

*2026-08-04, version 1.3.7*

I just really enjoy ranking music and overall great app

### 5/5 — The Best Music App

*2026-07-21*

And it’s not even close, Echo allows you to put every single song and album you have heard into a clean ranking list for you and your friends to see. It has an amazing community to talk specifically about music, while never getting into drama or any other stuff you would see on lesser social medias. The developer is very good at keeping track and fixing any issues the app has while consistently adding new updates. If I would recommend one app to anyone, it would be this.

### 5/5 — An Incredible Community with Great Potential

*2026-07-09, version 1.3.6*

I’ve been seeing a lot of music ranking apps such as this lately and even apps that haven’t even been released in stores yet. Some of what I’ve been in were created by A.I. and that isn’t really something I support and would rather support someone who actually did the hard work. As I’m writing this review, this app is only being moderated by ONE single person. He handles almost every problems, bugs, glitches, complains we all have and takes the constructive criticism extremely well. He has this feature in Echo+ where there’s a tab where all of us with that subscription can recommend anything for Echo to be better and be posted on a roadmap full of people’s suggestions. I’d say the owner of this app is pretty transparent and tries his best to take in everything but he can’t solve everyone’s problem.

Anyway, the reason why I like this app so much is because of the community and also the honesty in people’s reviews. I’ve seen so many praises of Kendrick’s album “To Pimp A Butterfly” with how great it is, but I like how there’s also a good handful of people not afraid to voice their opinion on why it isn’t what people think it is. It’s really different and it’s something that I like about the app.

Currently, there’s still a lot of work that needs to be added and fixed in Echo like issues with Android and whatnot, and I’m so happy to be part of that experience and seeing all these new updates and crates to keep the ball moving. And to see people so eager to find new music and listening to it almost everyday, I think it’s incredible and isn’t something you’d normally see from other apps.

Overall, Echo has the potential to be something really great. The only thing he really needs right now is a team that can back him up and make Echo the best I know it can be.

### 5/5 — Really fun

*2026-06-28, version 1.3.6*

I really enjoy just interacting and seeing what other people think abt music. Really cool app

### 5/5 — Awesome app

*2026-06-27, version 1.3.6*

Chicken sandwich

### 5/5 — Great app, highly recommend

*2026-06-24, version 1.3.5*

That’s really all I have to say.

### 5/5 — Amazing app

*2026-06-15, version 1.3.5*

I am so happy I finally found a good app to share my love for music.
