Echoes App: The Echoes App allows you to listen to Echoes and Echoes Online (subscription required) and explore all the great Echoes content! Echoes is a daily two-hour music soundscape, distributed by Public Radio International and broadcast on 130 radio stations from Maine to California. With host John Diliberto, a writer for Billboard, Pulse and other magazines, Echoes brings together a wide array of styles, from acoustic to electronic, jazz to space music, the avant-garde to rock. Echoes is a sound that is cross-cultural and trans-millennial, merging cultures and forms, technology and tradition, the ancient past and the possible future. In addition to the many recordings heard on Echoes, we also produce interview features with popular modern music figures such as Brian Eno, Peter Gabriel, Kate Bush and Enya, as well as less well-known known composers such as Dead Can Dance, Steve Roach, and The Orb. However 1 month into my repaid year long subscription, my login no longer works and no one responds to support requests. Avoid! ### 1/5 — Great Show, Terrible App *2026-07-06, version 12.0.3* I love the Echoes program, but the app is absolutely terrible. It doesn’t show you what’s currently playing (you have to line up the time with artist on a playlist), and now when you click on the playlist, it opens a separate browser. To add hurt to injury, now the app (both iOS and iPadOS) won’t let you log in. Absolutely terrible. Sticking to the browser, where at least I can log in and still listen. ### 5/5 — Best Music App Available *2024-11-07* The mix of music presented here is the most unique and interesting that I know of. Being from the Philadelphia area, it’s all Familiar to me as I listened to John and the crew for years before Echoes began. But there is No Other outlet to find what is presented here.
