It connects to the eclipseRx, a solar powered personal UV sun monitoring wearable device + activity tracker.

This advanced approach to sun protection was designed for people who love being outdoors and who are concerned about sun-related health and beauty issues. The eclipseRx is equipped with sensors that record sun exposure from ultraviolet (UV) light – tracking both UVA and UVB radiation. The patent-pending eclipseRx device syncs with a digital app on your phone, allowing you to create your personal sun profile including details such as your skin type, what type of sunscreen SPF you use, how often you use it, and more!

Eclipse Rx will monitor your total UV exposure and send you alerts when you've reached 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% of your truSun™ exposure.  Alert notifications are sent to your mobile devices via push notifications and the wearable will gently vibrate to indicate you have an alert. Plus, LED lights on the device aid in alert notification.  Alerts are based on the strength of the UV index, your specific skin type, the sunscreen SPF you are using and how often you have applied it.
