I would love to add the ability to delete a schedule and some other basic features. There have been no updates to the app in years. For example: what time does my timer currently have? No clue. Resetting app and device to factory settings does not prompt for wifi configuration, so the device broadcasts its on WiFi which remains open and unsecured. But you can connect to it and turn it on/off. Zero options, configuration settings, methods, or buttons to setup the WiFi on the device. Other wi-fi devices have stable connection. And now device won't connect to the wi-fi even after hard reset. So the device is pretty much a brick now, even manual switch doesn't work. The timer cannot be used, it does not record the hours, and when you try to edit, the application crashes. I contacted the manufacturer, they tried to help, and in the end their solution was to return the timer. I appreciate that, but since I am in Costa Rica, the cost of sending the equipment back to the USA is higher than buying a new one from another brand. Unfortunately, this means money and equipment wasted. 🥲 ### 1/5 — Poorly written app *2025-06-16, version 2.77* Not only is this app unintuitive and difficult to setup, the instructions don’t make sense and the graphics are incredibly ugly. A must have. ### 5/5 — Awesome pool timer *2023-08-17, version 2.77* I replaced a broken mechanical timer with this. Setup on iOS was a breeze. Programming was simple, but the interface is kinda ugly. Functional though. I have it set to start the pool pump in the morning and off at night. I use the manual option to stop or start the pump as needed. This is a huge upgrade from walking to the pump house and turning dials or pressing buttons. Now during thunderstorms or pool maintenance I can quickly shut off the pump from my pocket. ### 5/5 — Wifi Pool Pump Switch IOS *2023-06-04, version 2.77* Very happy with customer service and the switch itself. Initially was unable to connect but once I changed location to “always” everything connected perfectly. Once connected I changed location back to “while using”. This is light years ahead of the old mechanical type switch I replaced and it’s impossible to beat the convenience of controlling it with your phone from anywhere. ### 5/5 — Thanks for Updating to run on IOS 16.2! *2023-01-19, version 2.77* Now that it’s compatible with the newest IOS it works flawlessly as always! ### 5/5 — Great Product *2022-12-04, version 2.76* I have been using Eco plugs for my pool timer for over two years now. The user interface isn’t great and there is clearly some language/grammatical issues with English in the manual, but otherwise it has worked flawlessly. I’m not a techie by trade, but I do understand wifi, etc. and I think that was helpful to me in setting it up. Once it was set up I have never touched it again. Even when the power goes out, it just seems to reconnect and just works. I installed the timer myself btw, replacing an old ‘dial’ one. It is 100% outside and exposed to the weather, and I live in a climate that has all 4 seasons. Again, the manual wasn’t easy to read but it all came together nicely. ### 5/5 — Works great and fast support *2022-06-25* I have the outdoor Wi-Fi box to remotely turn my pool light on. It works great and was easy for a tech-stupid person to get set up. When I got a new router and couldn’t figure out how to reset the box, they replied to my email within 24hrs and included video so even I could do it. I am very happy with the box, the app and support! ### 5/5 — Performance is great *2019-01-13* I have two outdoor and 4 indoor WiFi plugs. They are quick to connect to WiFi and a instant responsive to the app. I am overall very pleased. Had a bit of a problem during initial setup of the home router. The app wants the name of the router and not the IP address. Also did not fully understand how to Get to the “other” device in order to program it. I wrote an email to their Customer Service and they answered superbly within a few hours. Their answers were great, which does not happen all the time. (I also appreciate the insight of programming the sunset on - 11 PM off provided by the other reviewer.) ### 5/5 — Team Leader *2017-12-05, version 2.58* I love this product! Technology at ingenuity packaged into 1! I feel secure knowing that I can energize any small appliance with these wifi-controlled outlets anywhere in the world! I highly recommend this brand! Their staff is so helpful and knowledgeable about their product. Their prompt service and information sharing and is reassuring.
