## What is Eco Trip?

Have you ever considered the environmental cost of driving to work every day?
Would you like to know how much carbon dioxide is released into the atmosphere when you fly somewhere warm for a vacation, or pop over to New York on business?

Climate change is predicted to raise the mean temperate of our planet by 1.5° celsius within the next few decades. This has the potential to create disaster and human suffering on an unprecedented scale. But every decision we make now has the potential to change that future.

The first step in reducing our emissions is understanding what they are to start with. Armed with this knowledge, the next step is determining how to reduce them. Eco Trip gives you this power.

How to use:
• Enter your starting point and your destination
• Eco Trip will display the route and comparative emissions for various transport options, eg: flying vs driving
• Set the schedule for the trip, specify if it´s a repeating trip and the frequency and then add it to your trip log*.
• The trip log provides an overview of your trips and related emissions so you can keep track of how you´re doing*

Free Features:
• Calculate CO2 emissions from both one-off trips and repeat trips like commuting
• Country specific calculations for electric car emissions based on electricity generation source
• Accurate aviation emission calculations:  individual flights and flight routes account for production /distribution and high altitude effects, improving on the ICAO (United Civil Aviation Organization) calculator.

Premium Features:
• Transit options, such as bus and train, are displayed for your route
• Vehicle Garage: specify the fuel efficiency for your exact car make and model
• Favorite trips: save trips you often make to your Favorites so they can be recreated with a few taps..
• Travel Mode Filter: filter irrelevant travel modes from displaying in your Trip Itinerary list.
• Multiple Route options: choose between multiple possible routes for car and transit options


Note: Eco Trip does not try to automatically track your travel habits. Rather, we give you complete authoring control over the trips you wish to make.
