Because yours is not a frequently used app — which means it’s hard to remember the password between sessions — it’s always a pain to login because I have to go and look up the password elsewhere. Please add support for these now-typical methods of login support. Can't login for the last two days and their supposed "24/7" MPowered app customer support number for MPowered they advertise on their website is completely false! The application always loses connectivity and I'm constantly having to uninstall and reinstall this app. I've never left a review before, but this app, and the Mpowered program are so bad, I'm hoping my review will save a few people from this horrific NV Energy nightmare. ### 1/5 — Notification non existent *2015-09-10, version 128* Whenever there is an energy event we were told that we would get notifications through the app and/or e-mail. This isn't the case at all and we probably spend more money now, due to the fact that NV Energy decides to crank down the AC before an energy event, at the exact times that no one is home!!! Half the time the app doesn't work properly and we have to manually adjust the thermostat. Please hire someone who knows how to write code instead of the idiot who wrote this app. Not happy at all!!! ### 1/5 — Poor app, ill thought out program *2015-08-06* This thing has ended up costing me money due to a poorly thought out program. It cranks the air conditioning up during the day when no one is home and turns it down unusually at night so no one can sleep. Only Nevada Energy can remove these thermostats and the appointment process takes a long long time and it can only be done by Nevada energy technicians. Highly recommended no one take part in this program. I certainly regret it. If you need a thermostat that you can control through your phone try one of the private ones don't go this route. ### 1/5 — Not good *2015-05-01, version 118* Same as before the update, this app is horrible. What is the point of having this if you can never use it. If the nest thermostat wasn't so expensive I would buy it now and get rid of this garbage. I think 1 year is enough time to get all of the bugs worked out and it's still not fixed. It often refuses to change the thermostat to your desired setting. It seems to be getting worse too. ### 1/5 — Not good for sleep quality *2021-08-17, version 140* It either has a mind of its own or the power company is controlling it. I wake up several times each night very hot because the setting is changed to 76. After 10 minutes of setting it low, it readjusts itself.sending my husband out to replace it tomorrow. ### 1/5 — Won’t keep the schedule. *2021-05-21* Apparently there was an upgrade, I mean downgrade, and now the app keeps resetting the schedule. Since this app has not been updated for two years it seems to be obsolete. I cannot get any technical agents to call me about it. Looks like another brand may be a better choice. It’s been like three weeks and the app doesn’t even open.!! ### 1/5 — changes the target temp settings *2020-04-29* works well but it changes the target temp by itself. i set up a temp (cold or hot depending on the season) but will change my temp setting. i constantly watch my temp settings just be sure the target temp is still right. i am tired of constantly checking the target temp. it adds or subtract 2 to 3 degrees depending on usage (ac or heat). i wish nvenergy stop adjusting my settings. i don’t run my ac/heat as much, the only time i use it is to kill the heat during summertime and kill the coldness during winter. STOP adjusting the target temp!!! ### 1/5 — Schedule temps won't go below 67 *2017-07-02* The thermostats are not great at detecting actual temperature in a recent update they stopped letting you set the thermostat below 67. This is very hot in my house. Please give us the ability to set the thermostat to 60 in the schedule. They are intuitive if you just want a digital interface. The app get frozen each time I launch it. Nothing shows up. Going to look into alternatives! ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Awesome! *2015-08-16* NVenergy will have a free thermostat installed that allows you to control your ac and heating from this app. It works so smooth and is so simple, I love this app and you can program it to turn on at 4 different time of the day, you need to have a port open on your modem for the thermostat to work and NVenergy can adjust it during peak power times but you receive a discount on your energy bill, You can adjust it if they override your energy settings but I haven't noticed it and love the system. Took me less than two minutes to setup the schedule for my fairly complicated schedule. Love that I can easily setup different temps for each day of the week. Plus, it's easy to see how much I save over time. If I didn't already have my schedule configured, I'd be tempted to keep playing with the app! Replaced two devices and showed me how to set them up. Have not had one problem either on the PC or IPhone 5. This stuff is awesome. I wirelessly text my wife for another beer and that fails 90% of the time.
